- I told you all in the last video that someone dinged one of my doors and damaged my wrap! In this video, we take off the wrap, look at the damage, and wrap it again.

I seems liike there's always a shitwit who will just throw open a door and let it smack someone else's vehicle. I'm fortunate, even though it'll sound contradictory, that my wife has a bad back and thus qualifies for a handicap sticker: I can thus almost always park in a spot with more distance on both sides of the car. Yay! 👍 Good job rewrapping those spots, Shannon! Practice makes perfect.

Hey there, I too wanted to wrap the EV6 I just purchased and this was the exact colour I had in mind. Was gonna get it professionally done, but seeing this makes me think I could save a lot through buying+providing the wrap before hand. I think I saw you mention that its VViViD+ Matte Emerald Green on Amazon right? I just wanted to hear your feedback on how well this wrap has held up overall and if its worthwhile to get it over a more expensive alternative? I plan to use my car through the Canadian winter snow/ice. Thank you!
I always park my Tesla far away from other cars. Not because of door dings. The runaway shopping carts can do some serious damage. Especially the hardware stores with the big heavy flat beds carts.
I would like to see an aftermarket sound system diy or professional install. I have the meridian package but honestly I’m not impressed.
100% agree. I’ve been less than impressed with this sound system.
Talking about bad luck, ran over a tree branch at night, and the plywood fly out on the highway and hit my front bumper, a used car purchased about a year, got damaged pretty quick, on my mazda miata..

Wow! That's an ugly ding. If I were keeping this for a few years I'd definitely take it to the body shop. You did a great job. Other than Teslas I've never seen any EVs. Since I left Cali nearly 6 years ago I've never even seen a Chevy Bolt. But today on the freeway I saw a Kia EV6 for the first time. It looks better in person. Gr8 vid as usual, Shannon! 🚙🇺🇸🌺
Hi Shannon. Subscriber Greg here. As an experienced EV person, if you had to choose…would you choose the Tesla MYLR or the Mustang Mach e or the EV6 knowing what you know …and why? We’ve had a MYLR on order since January and can’t get it to ship, I may need to look at other options at this point, or should I stay the course? Cheers and all the best!

If you are able to wait for the MY, that’s what I would recommend. It has the best tech, charges quickly, quicker off the line, Autopilot is hands down better, and the OTA updates keeps your vehicle current for years. If you can stay the course, I think you’ll be happier BUT if you needed an EV now, go EV6.
The EV6 is extremely impressive. Best non-Tesla EV out there in my opinion. It’s missing features that the Mach-E has and that I would want but I think it’s built better. The car is really efficient and it charges quickly while offering looks that everyone on the road cranks their neck to see.
Just my opinion but I do not recommend the Mach-E. A lot do the issues I had with mine, people still have a whole year later. There is something wonky going on with the HVBJB that is making Mach-E’s breakdown and Ford still doesn’t know exactly what’s going on. It’s one of the slowest EVs to charge at a DCFC. They look great, super comfortable, drive really well but I don’t think the battery/drivetrain tech is up to snuff and would really worry about having the car beyond the warranty period. I think Ford rushed it out too early and myself/people paid the price. I hope one day to consider the Mach-E again cuz it looks awesome on paper but it’s not there yet.

Shannon, another class video! New dad here with a kid on the way. Out of the MY, Mach E, Ioniq 5, and EV6, what do you think is the best family car and best for fitting luggage and stroller in the trunk? Thanks!!

I would prioritize those options as:
1. MY
2. Ioniq 5/EV6 (same car essentially so whichever you can find and get a better deal)
3. MME
The MY has vastly more room than the others. It’s the only one deep enough that can fit a BoB stroller with it going straight in whereas all the others can only fit the BoB stroller with it being placed sideways. MY also has a huge sub-trunk and frunk.
For us, we’d put extra diapers in the trunk’s side pockets, extra clothes and stuff in the sub-trunk, stroller in the trunk, mini diaper bag in the trunk, and emergency diaper bag in the frunk lol. You can comfortably fit a stroller and suitcases in the MY.
The Ioniq 5/EV6, are built off the same platform so they offer similar storage room. It’s similar in size to the Mach-E as well. Not nearly as big as the MY so it will require more creativity to fit everything but still doable. If you plan on taking road trips, the I5/EV6 are better options because they ride better, are more quiet, and charges almost twice as quickly on a DCFC than the Mach-E.
You make wrapping the car look easy, just time consuming. How was it around the emblems and such? I am a relatively new viewer since I started looking at your videos about the time I ordered my model Y in April (hopefully it arrives next month unless it gets pushed back again.....). I may have missed it but I would love to a see a more in depth video on wrapping a car.
you remove the emblems. And you are correct, it's not that hard, just time consuming. I wrapped my EV6, first time ever wrapping and it took me about 2 full days, 16 hours total. Don't, as she did, and I did, start with the hood. Start with the smallest panel you have and work up from there so you can learn how to do it a little better and easier with each panel as you go.
