I don't enjoy having to review any addon negatively, especially knowing that such criticism can potentially affect people's livelihoods etc. That being said, it’s clear that the A330 wasn’t really ready for release; at the very least, the aircraft should have been marketed as an "early access" product. Ultimately, given that the addon was developed by one of the hobby's most established developers, I don't think that such standards are acceptable / fair to the customer. If all of the A330's issues are addressed in due course, I would be more than happy to revisit the aircraft and revise my opinions accordingly. I hope / believe that my critique was both accurate and fair. All the best, guys!
Here's an unrelated topic to Flight Simulator but closely ties with the Aerosoft problem: I've seen this happen with their other games, like OMSI 2 The Bus Simulator for instance. They bought the rights to the source code yet never touched it until now. If they kept updating it, it would probably have the same graphics as TML Studios Bus Simulators. It still trumps TML Studios in Bus Simulation, all it needs is a better graphics engine. Yet they never improved it at all. I'm scared for the future of this A330 since like the guy above me said "Aerosoft rarely updates anything after release". And them buying OMSI 2 and not touching it is a kind of proof to it.
How do you even as a company release a product in that state? I just don't get it. Haven't they got someone at Aerosoft that have SOME form of professional pride in their craft? It absolutely baffles me.

The review was up to your usual standards and is appreciated. I look forward to all of them. Right now my personal opinion is that the Headwind Simulations A-330 is perfectly adequate and the price is right. We actually have a very good selection of fine freeware airliners: A-310, A-320, A-330, B747 and, especially, the B-787. It's hard for me to get excited about every new jet airliner that comes along with the exception of the Fokker and the PMDG 777. I just don't have the time or hard drive space to take them all to the dance.
In short Arosoft did this to them selves and rightly deserved to be grilled especially for a plane that’s been in development in a big development house for 3yrs this release is shocking. The auto pilot and engine control seems to be one of the big arrears of failure especially compared to other options it’s not end close to even the free wear in my opinion. How did it happen? MS announced there will be a 330 in the base version of MSFS2024 and Aerosoft already invested a lot so they pushed out an unfinished product to get some money back. That's it.
Much smaller teams, with much less funding, do much better. Good job FS labs and inibuilds are doing A330 for 2024. I’m guessing fenix will also do one at some point.
Sadly it appears to be nothing more than a desperate cash grab, due to the realisation that the A330 included with MSFS24 will most likely be the one developed by inibuilds, and therefor something at least on par with a fully developed product of their own. A shame really, as I enjoyed their A330 for P3D, but something this basic is simply unacceptable.

What ever has become of Aerosoft ? I loved their aircraft in FSX and P3D, but the Twin Otter in MSFS2020 was disappointing, and now this A330 seems to have so many problems. I really liked the company, their forums used to be very enjoyable with screenshot contests and download give-aways, but it all seems to have gone down hill in the last two or three years. I hope their fortunes revive - dusting off their Catalina for MSFS2024 would be a big step in the right direction.
