Thank you for featuring my Quint statue from Jaws. I’m glad it resonated with someone and I’m chuffed to see it appear on your reel. All the best, Martin.
@@Peter-Oxley-Modelling-Lab Thank you! I entered it as a SciFi/Fantasy diorama on account of the sharks teeth being more than a base and signifying the moment Quint realises he’s doomed, but that may have been a stretch. The sharks teeth I sculpted in 3D and then resin-printed. You really can get fantastic results with resin printing and it’s a bonus if you can use 3D software to find a solution to something. The Quint model is a 1/14 statue sculpted by Palmer Murphy and I’ve downloaded plans for the Orca as a scratch build. That really will be a bigger boat! Maybe one day…
Thank you for sharing so many great models I missed Peter. I loved seeing Spencer Pollard's 'Verlinden tribute' dios for real. I pointed out to my mate how Spencer's Panther dio was made from perhaps the most inaccurate kit Tamiya ever released. Yet his result is a joy to behold. True talent.
OMG I'm in model kit heaven 😲😄 Fantastic details and craftmanship. Not too many people walking around? I like the Land Rover, the bouncing Dambusters bomb, the pit stop scene, the WW1 scene just to mention a few. A couple of weeks ago I visited the Scale Model Challenge 2023 in Veldhoven in the Netherlands. It's really not far from where I live. I usually first visit the contest area and make pictures of interesting kits that inspire me, give me new ideas about what or how to build. Next I walk to the merchandise area and buy whatever I can find that's on my wish list or I think is interesting while trying not to go over my budget.. I've never seen so many display sets like this year; ruins, city streets etc. Once or twice a year I have this recurring dream: I have just discovered this huge model store but they don't have the model kit I'm desparately looking for. I know that when I keep searching I'll find it, but I always wake up before that moment 😟😩
It was a great show so sorry we didn't run into each other l did keep looking but l only had a couple of hours on Sunday and with a lot of fantastic models around it was a case of TEMPUS FUGIT, l got myself an ICM Sea Gladiator 1/32 and two HK Model one Lancaster BI and B25J Mitchell in 1/48 and l know l will have read those instructions very carefully 🤔 really gutted I never meet up with you but there is always next year 👍
@@Peter-Oxley-Modelling-Lab indeed Peter, one of the guys from the club is flying this evening 🫣, the rest of us are on the ferry. Could be a little choppy so should make for an interesting crossing. Life would be dull otherwise 😬.
@@Peter-Oxley-Modelling-Lab , still gave this vid a like though, awesome models, just not my styp of music, but you can't please everyone all of the time, keep up the great work, definitely in my top 2 RUclipsrs to watch.
What a beautiful presentation. The photography, editing and music were sheer class.
Well done sir.
Thank you. ☺️ Some lovely models again this year. 👍🏻
Some of the detail work on the kits and dioramas are insane! My hats off to them all.
Nicely done Peter. Thank-you.
Many thanks!

Wow! That was awesome Martin! Loved it...I joked to my pal: "We are going to need a bigger boat!" Well done. How did you do the sharks teeth?

I was most impressed, JEDI! 👍🏻 How was it built?
@@Peter-Oxley-Modelling-Lab It was the DeAgostini part work kit with added decals and a bit of scratch building.
