I am surprised how they predicted the Dunkelosteus downsize (seriously, the dunk model was before the paper)

This looks like a great remake of fossil and archaeology reveival
It feels like it’s fossils and archaeology revival without the historical accuracy limitation (not saying that’s a bad thing)

@@zappingnerd5624 the animals in this mod are scientifically accurate, except for the more "cartoonish" style, which I'm ngl, prefer. Feels more like minecraft.

The austroraptor is actually a dromaeosaur rather than a bird, but I can definitely see why you'd assume it's a bird with the design in this mod! Some of these designs are very accurate (as much as you can get with stylized cubes anyway), some are very goofy, some are rather fittingly... unusual (looking at majungasaurus' and brachiosaurus' design...) And all are great.
oh yeah xD oops. majungasaurus is easily the goofiest.

The Hwachavenator seems to be directly inspired by the ark velonosaur
If nobody has mentioned it already, the petrified wood are naturally spawned in a small number with stone and fossils scattered around like a dig site in desert biomes, I’ve found my first fossils in the dig sites myself
I'M SO HAPPY THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DINOSAURS AND EVERY OTHER EXTINCT ANIMAL
I wish I could get DNA from fossils in real life :(

Soon as I saw the book interface, I instantly knew this was probably made by the same guy who did Alex's mobs and it checks out too because you can't just tame every animal but they can help you in other ways.
Correction: It was made by Peeko. And it was the dinosaur models and made me mix this up with Prehistoric fauna at the time.

@@scribble_pixel_studios There's a mod called Prehistoric Fauna that has dinosaurs with similar models, there's the mix up I made.
Just kinda realised the hwatchavenator has to be a reference to Ark's velonasaurus, a dinosaur that also shoots spikes from their head, still pretty cool

This mod looks like fossil and archeology revival.
You can use Jade mod for identifying the names of the thing you're looking at(WTHYLA for modern versions basically)! And EMI or JEI for the recipes(IMO emi is better than jei)

I'd say copied. The art style is cool but a lot of these mechanics are literally straight from fossils and archeology.

Why nobody shows how to craft flasks. you all just show the flasks but don't show crafting recipe.

unfortunately not, I wanted the same thing! If someone makes a datapack to have them spawn naturally that would be the best way.
They just released a new update that add natural spawning config
