- In this episode of Tuna on Toast, Stryker catches up with the Pierce the Veil frontman Vic Fuentes. Vic recently became a father and he talks to Stryker about the challenges of balancing his dedication to the band with family life. Vic’s daughter was born the day before Pierce the Veil’s new album ‘The Jaws of Life’ was released, and the guys take a deep dive into its creation. How did a dive bar impact the album? You'll have to listen to find out! Vic also discusses the bands who influenced him, including Pennywise, MXPX Saosin and Bring Me the Horizon, and why movies have inspired his music. Pierce the Veil have developed a deep connection with their fans over the years, and Vic explains the importance of that fan-band relationship. Vic is literally such a nice guy. So happy to see how far he has accomplished throughout these years🫶🖤
Wow. He's 40 now. He hasn't aged at all!!!!
Just went to their creative tour concert this past Tuesday. They freaking killed it. Vic even brought a fan up stage and gave her a guitar.
vic is such a genuine person, so so nice. id love to meet him one day!
the amount of times i put this interview on to fall asleep to is crazy😓 its so comforting idk

Punk Rock Mr. Rogers is now my new aesthetic peg
Punk rock mr Rogers I died 💀
Two dads just chilling lmao 🤣 that’s the vibe
I've seen Pierce the Veil live @ Soma San Diego probably 15 years ago when they were first starting out. My sister wanted to go see them and I went with her. I remember there was always a local hype about them. Crazy to see that they're still around!
I loved your question @ 34:40 I always wondered how they deal with people throwing letters on stage and constantly telling them they saved their lives. It must be a great feeling but emotionally overwhelming being trauma dumped on all the time. Great questions, Loved your interview!
thank you!
Thank you so much for watching this episode!
You’re welcome
Yo Stryker, when you gonna get me on the show?
The UK's hottest artist right now! Plus I'm one of Shinoda's pals 😎
Let me know how your diary looks and I'll book my flight ✈️
Great show 👏
Vic is such an inspiration and pierce the veil is my all time favorite band. As a frontman in my band Violent Affection I strive to be as genuine and passionate about my craft as he is. Much love from Gainesville Florida🤘
Literally love Vic Fuentes and have been ever since I first stumbled upon PTV in 2012. He’s still such a down to earth person. ❤
Saw the band at a pop up and although we didn’t get to see the show, the band came out and tried to say hi to as manny people as they could
Been listening to PTV for over a decade and I've never stopped adoring them. Can't wait to see them on tour next week❤❤❤
Stryker has really good taste in music and had interviews with some of my favorite artists like Davey Havok, Nick Hexum, and now Vic Fuentes, Great Interview! keep em coming!

I may be 14-16 but I love there music so much. Vic is an amazing guy. I know the chances are low but I would love to meet him in person one day
Love the value Vic brought out answering those in depth questions!
Audience synchronization, music writing, understanding an artists influence.
MORE PTV PODCASTS!! Let’s hear from Tony Jamie and Mike!!!
Mike really isn’t in the group anymore but I’d like to see any update on him again. It would be nice as a long time PTV lover. I know I’m not the only one who thinks this, I think lol.
Vic is such a sweetheart, gotta get all of PTV on here!!!🔥

I used to run into Mike all the time when I was stationed in Bremerton. I never bothered him. I just always thought it was cool. Bremerton/Silverdale was rad. I even caught an MXPX show when I was there, because the venue was literally a block away from me.
Interview guy is a bit intense but you got to love his tenacity
