Canna Lily Seed Pods

I didn't know that these flowers produced seed pods!! I have only grown them from bulbs so far. I actually let these flowers overwinter even though technically I am supposed to "lift" these bulbs every fall. This is their second year to flower and my first time seeing seed pods left behind after the flowering.

Used to have Canna flowers but no longer. Very sturdy and produce pretty flowers. I was given bulbs that i planted. Have never planted by seed.

If the pods come off the stem when green, will they still dry out to the brown and have seeds?

I'm not sure - I'm leaning towards probably not, every seed I've ever collected that grew was already hardened and brown before being able to sprout.

I just had this happen
I had 2 plump pods starting to turn yellowish but got knocked off, the seeds are white, not black, im wondering if i can still save these seeds and "cure them" in a sunny window or something?

What happens if a seed pod gets pulled and its still kinda greenish yellowish

You can always try - I always experiment - sometimes they work and sometimes they don't
