@@JrocksAndDevinity , brother, both your commentary is enjoyable. I like watching these while I work from home. I’ve seen all these flicks, so it’s cool to revisit them. Constantine was also a comic book before the movie.
Constantine is also the character that Keanu Reeves would most want to revisit. They've tried to get the project going for years - as of now the script for a sequel is being written, production set to begin in 2025 with a release in 2026. But who knows what status is, since they've tried to get this project up and running for years and years (Problem is Constantine is owned by DC and they haven't exactly been good with their projects)
I think the item / power used to deal with that swarm was a fragment of the Turin Shroud - John wraps it round his hand, then passes it in front of the Virgin Mary display in the window just before the lights fully fail. I want to say it was one of the items Beeman gives him in the apartment just before, and a Relic like that would certainly make a mess of a pack of lesser demons..
You guys may enjoy a supernatural movie with Arnold called End Of Days. And the spear is called the spear of destiny. A Toman soldier thrust it into Jesus while he was on the cross. You would also probably enjoy The Prophecy with Christopher Walken.
In Rome you could bribe the soldiers to give mercy to those who were crucified. So that's what happened to Jesus, finished by a soldiers spear thrust into the heart. That spear is a holy relic, the spear of destiny that makes the bearer impervious to injury and destined to win all conflicts. His blood was caught in a cup by one of the apostles and that cup is The Holy Grail that grants immortality. Fun stories.
Great reactions guys! It's great to see new peeps catch these old school flicks! You guys gotta go forward to the end of the credits. There's a nice little extra scene for you to view. Well worth it! I just started following you guys and all in! Are you guys doing any Halloween themed viewing this month?
@@Seshen77 the Thanks we appreciate it! Yeah actually Devinity hates horror flicks, but she thought it would be fun to check some out and see how the go. So we were going to start next week and hit up a few here and there
This movie made me wanna read my Bible when I first saw it. I had asked the Lord to give me an entrance in reading my Bible because it was just sitting up in my room collecting dust then this movie came out and it pushed me into studying my Bible Constantine itself. It’s very spiritually educational.
If you fast froward credits Shia ( chaz Kramer ) comes down from heaven when john leaves his lighter on chaz's gravestone right ? Just roll past the credits
Also, fun fact: Balthazar was played by Gavin Rossdale, singer for band Bush.
Oh cool, didn't know!
Si hay keanu Reeves hay like saludos desde México es un actorazo muy querido
Greetings! Yes, Keanu Reeves is awesome!

@@notmyrealname8282 Yeah, I never new that until we saw the movie. Seems like it would have been a really cool comic. We both really enjoyed it
They did actually make this a video game.
Oh damn, I had no idea! I'll have to look it up
what is the name of the game and can it be played on steam?
@@Altered_Carbon_Future it is (suprise) called Constantine and is quite mediocre. and no, i dont think it is on steam
In the end, God took Gabriel's divinity. Thats why Lu said, "Looks like someone doesn't have your back.."
Then Lu bbq'd her wings lol
Lol that was great

Apart from not being British and not having blond hair, I really like this take on the character. We should have had The Holy Hand grenade.
Must be from the comic? I'm going to have to check it out, we really enjoyed it also!
Constantine's character is from a graphic novel, which is why some aspects of the story are a little over the top, Fun movie!
It was great! Just a fun enjoyable movie with the kind of themes that Devinity in particular really likes 👌

I perused the comments but didn't see any references to this. There's a great end after credit scene that you should absolutely go back and watch

Your right, didnt know there was one lol. We did catch it after though!
If you want to take a trip further down the path of Keanu, travel back another decade to 1995, for a sci-fi action by the name of Johnny Mnemonic.
