But change the puzzles, some were absolute dogshit tbh
Considering the technology of today, I wouldn’t be surprised if they could simulate the claymation aspect in a real-time-rendered 3D game.
If that were the case, instead of a point-and-click, maybe it would be walking around and interacting with stuff in a more open-ended fashion.
Granted, it might take away some of the magic of how genuine the game was in aesthetics, but it could open up the opportunity for things like dynamic lighting that would well make up for it.
@@SonicPman I'm on the fence on that idea. On one hand it could potentially look nicer and take less work, but on the other hand it would lose the charm of having the worlds modeled entirely out of real clay.
In the meantime check out Armikrog in steam. I haven't actually played it yet but it's claymation / the same developers

@Jacob Atkinson No, it was fully animated claymation pre-rendered and in full motion video on a computer. CGi was limited and couldn't replicate claymation for at least about another decade.

i know this is like 2 or 3 years ago but oh my God this is so good. the animation and the song the characters just chilling there i absolutely adore how willie sits there AND the voices holy carp the singer sounds just like klaymen and i love the hoborg singing in the background adding to the songggggggg this is all just so perfect i can't encapsulate my love for this video in words
It's been a year since this was made and I have a story to tell about this song. A year ago thanks giving, when I started to have depression. I was on a trip to see may family members for the holiday. That's when I first heard this version of never hood song. And it made me cry in the car, and for 30-45 minutes no one notice me crying. But the crying made me happy. my mom notices me, and she wonder why I was cry. I didn't tell her why. And that's how my family found out I had these depress feelings. I hope for any one else who listen to this song it will make you feel better too.

I just got into the Neverhood series recently because one of my favorite streamers played the first game. It really is a wonderful series that I’ve become quickly obsessed with, and this song is lovely 💙

I’m not sure what Neverhood is, but this is really catchy!
The Neverhood Chronicles is an old point-and-click adventure game for the PC and PS1 from the 90's produced by the Neverhood and published by DreamWorks Interactive. The entire game is animated in claymation. The game would see a sequel/spinoff called Skullmonkeys, a platformer that continues the story after the events of the Neverhood Chronicles. If you're familiar with Vinesauce, check Vinny's playthrough of it!
Despite a few weird puzzles, the game is dripping with a lot of charm and humor.
@@FrahdChikun It's also heavily influenced by the beginning and end events of the Bible. A lot of characters are a metaphor of something found in the Bible. Plus it was created by Doug Tenapel, who is famous for creating cartoons with an uneven, unearthly style. I wouldn't be surprised if his work inspired the designs of the characters from Homestar Runner!

I just finished playing this game yesterday for the first time, and man do I love it. It made me laugh a whole bunch and I was mildly confused throughout the entire thing. Hearing lyrics to this track makes me really happy for some reason. I absolutely love this, and it's probably gonna be one of my go-to songs for a while. Thanks to Vinny for letting this classic game be known to me.

Необязательный факт от того, кто читал Стену - в припеве можно было бы использовать определенный артикль(то бишь "Come and play to the kingdom of THE Clay), ибо Хобборг отправился за особенным, специальным Пластилином, чтобы создать Небывальщину...
А в остальном - клевая, чиловая песня...

А я стену не читала(( Блин, надо будет туда зайти, почитать. У меня игра есть, вариант игры, который открывается на современном ПК. Правда, почему не читала? Там в русском варианте в начале были почему-то анекдоты. Правда, и перевода игры два. Небывальщина и не верь в худо. У меня второй. А текста там дофигища.

Я бы посоветовал вам найти либо оригинал, либо перевод этих записей именно в интернете - ибо даже в изначальной версии вы можете столкнуться с тем, что часть текста у вас просто выпадет из экрана. Ну и маленькое дополнение - удачи, если будете читать это на английском, ибо мало того, что это написано на иностранном языке, так ещё, если мне память не изменяет, он там слегка кривоватый...

Это ж надо так прожить всю эту песню, так проникновенно спеть...
