Oh man, not Tom!!! I love Tom!!! I'm always laughing about Tom and his posturing in the background. This is so sad, I'm so sorry for your loss. RIP Tom. We love you little man.
I know raising animals is a lot of work and expensive and there are hardships but man, I could almost feel the smell and softness of those baby goats! God is good all the time!
Oh no!!! I feel so sad about him because he was such a great little companion. He was always curious about everything going on. You could clip your next turkeys wings to keep them from flying. I am happy about your turkey eggs!! I love that your wife talks to the eggs😁 I can relate🤣
Oh my god, I loved that turkey! .He was a regular character in every video. Poor Rebekah, I'm so very sorry you lost that beautiful boy. First boy born is Tom Jr.!
That's to bad to hear about Tom the turkey. Clipping their wings does help keep them from flying over fences and keeps them grounded. Oh those baby turkeys are so cute. Good luck with them.
Sorry about the pretty Tom turkey but I am happy for the new babies. Isn't it funny how all the bigger animals are standing pretty well right after they are born and the momma has them cleaned up but the birds act like they are drunk and takes a lot longer for them. The goat babies are just so darned cute and loveable. Thanks for sharing the news. Have a Blessed day.
Aww, I'm sorry for the loss of your handsome Tom Turkey. May his offspring be as friendly and gorgeous as their father. Beautiful little goats. Thank you.
So so sorry for the loss of Tom the Turkey, he was a handsome guy, curious of what’s going on and love to follow you around. He was not camera shy. Hopefully you will have a Tom Junior out of the babies. I loved it when he did the happy dance when the kids were born. At least you will have some of Tom offsprings. Good luck with the baby turkeys and saddened about the loss of Tom. You win some and you loose some.
We are going to miss Tom. He seemed to be always on the video, sound if not picture. That's the way nature works and you have already started the next generation.
We just lost our ducks to minks. It always sucks to have loss like that when you put the time and care into keeping livestock. Sorry brother. Good luck with the hatchlings though! -Mike
Sorry to hear about Tom. He was such a gorgeous bird. Love how he always seemed to act more like a dog then a bird, following you around and being curious with everything you do. I once had a German Shepard mix who never left my side, was always interested in anything I was doing and seemed to be "trying to help". haha. That's what Tom reminded me of. Hopefully you have one of his boys grow up just like him.
Sorry to hear about Tom. He definitely was photo bombing every video 😂 Did you clip there wings so the couldn't fly out? All in all this was a great video seeing a lot of the animals. I wish you would do an update on ALL of the animals. It's been quite a while. How are the boy goats doing? Thank you for sharing and I hope you get even more turkeys 😁
I'm so sorry you lost Tom the turkey, I will miss him and his beautiful feathers, because he was a gorgeous turkey. Can't wait to see more on your newly hatched ones. Have a fabulous weekend Evan and Rebecca, despite your loss. ❤
Clip the Turkey's wings on other turkeys that you might have. Ohhhh so sorry you lost your Tom turkey for sure. Well I hope you have many many more. God bless.
You need to set up a few game cameras in the general area where Tom met his demise just to see who got him. Bet it was coyotes. Also like others are saying clipping the wings keeps em in the yard. Babies are adorable!
Thank you for sharing !! In our area we have a lot of predators from the sky . They will most of the time carry , especially chickens, them out to another area and eat what they want and leave the rest for scavengers. No fence can keep them out! You All stay safe and God bless !!! Eddy
we run 3 Great Pyr on our place for these types of issues- they don't let anything on the farm without being challanged and protect everything from the barn cats to the chickens to the horses.
Mr. Tom Turkey was like watch dog in bird form making his security round the farm being nosy keeping a eye on its owners doing their RUclips channel filming. He loves being in the limelight of Country View Acres RUclips videos. He was a beautiful turkey.
so sorry about your tom but the hatchlings are a real gift and congrats on getting so many new hatches!! Hopefully you'll get another tom from that effort.
Sorry about your big guy but very exciting about the chicks! I’ve been wanting to do turkeys for a few years but just haven’t. Interested to see how this goes for you
If you need to boost their protein, I suggest some hardboiled eggs that are minced up really tiny. I couldn't find turkey and gamebird feed when my quail hatched, but I had meatbird feed and added eggs for the extra protein. They would usually eat what they needed. I'd replace it couple times a day.
Hello well that's the way things go. Dinner for something else. Need a enclosed fenced yard for the turkeys that they cant get out. Nice to see the newly hatched turkeys and goats steers look great. You both have a wonderful day.
Can you clip the wings on turkeys to keep them from getting airborne? They can still get around quickly if needed, but wouldn’t that keep them in the pen?
Sorry to hear about Tom. We have two hens and one tom Royal Palm. We have 16 eggs in incubation right now and hopeful half will hatch. The two hens lay a total of seven eggs per week.
I had trouble with my turkeys flying out, too, and then I was told you have to clip their feathers. I did that and it works very well but you have to do it every two months.
Do not let the incubator opened too long, it needs a lot of humidity, especially when eggs are in their last days. And take shells away asap, the chicks happen to suffocate with empty shells
JudithB Its hard to loose one of the critters, but a fact of life on the homestead. I got the first quail egg yesterday and will be incubating soon to build the flock/covey. Need to put some chickens eggs in too!! Still working on the garden as summer is suppose to arrive on Sunday!
We lost our 5 hens to we think a combo hawks and maybe coon. We have 18 chicks in our coop now including our first 2 turkey chicks. We went with bronze turkeys. They are definitely the most curious ones of the bunch.
Sorry to hear about the Tom. I think he caught hit by a coyote. You already have said you’ve seen them on the property and the fact that all you found was a pile of feathers reminds me of our own situation where we lost a ton of chickens with the same evidence left, just feathers. We finally caught two coyotes in the act of jumping our fence and taking the birds.
I'm sorry to hear this. But I have to ask, why didn't you clip their wings so they couldn't fly out? Glad to see the new babies. They are so beautiful 😍 💖 💜
Sorry about Tom Turkey, congratulations on the newborn turkeys . Maybe start clipping their wings so they will stay in their pens? Just thinking out loud and maybe out of turn?? Looking forward to seeing your HERD of Turkeys. Stay safe and keep up the good videos. Fred.
Evan your turkey would be more comfortable roosting if you put a flat board for her feet. Turkey barns by my home have as many as 40,000 at a time. Will you raise a couple for the freezer?
That is too bad, unfortunately this is part of farmering. One time we had a fox that was eating our chickens it indeed up eating 23 of them and we only had 2 chickens left. we stayed up several nights trying to get him and finally we got him taken care of after that we got a chicken coop. This happening over a cause of 2 weeks
I always have wondered who dry’s wild turkeys when they hatch… must be the same people that oil the ducks when they hatch… You would have to know if they take a synthetic or maybe A synthetic blend … of oil or you could stand the risk of being fired from that job… that’s why I love watching RUclips you learn so much. … 🦃🦆
Noooooooooooooo not him, I loved him!!!! Oh I am heart broken :* ( Hats of to you, I would not be strong enough to deal with that . Little babies are adorable.
Tom was a beautiful bird ... and I know he really liked you guys. Some wild critter got an early Thanksgiving, but I'm glad you guys have a "starter" kit going. Just wondering ... do those steers not need a salt lick? And, lucky little goats to be so wonderfully cared for ...
A benefit from heritage breeds is the viability. Nice he passed on his genetics before moving up. Really have to admit Royal Palm is the most beautiful domestic turkey. He was stunning when he did those struts & good disposition too. annoying? have you seen Bear & Daniel?
Oh man, not Tom!!! I love Tom!!! I'm always laughing about Tom and his posturing in the background. This is so sad, I'm so sorry for your loss. RIP Tom. We love you little man.
So sorry about Tom. He was one handsome boy. Will miss seeing him around the farm.
I know raising animals is a lot of work and expensive and there are hardships but man, I could almost feel the smell and softness of those baby goats! God is good all the time!
Oh shoot, he was a great guy, always wanting to know what you were doing! RIP Tommy Boy!
Oh no!😭 I'm glad you have his offspring, the ways of the farm...it's amazing how sadness can turn to joy.☺️
I am so sorry. He was just beautiful and quite charming.
So sorry .
He was a beautiful bird.
Oh no! Loved Tom. He was such a camera hog. He loved following you around and being on camera. So happy for the babies!!!
That's to bad to hear about Tom the turkey. Clipping their wings does help keep them from flying over fences and keeps them grounded. Oh those baby turkeys are so cute. Good luck with them.

We are so sad to learn of Tom Turkey’s demise. He made us chuckle.

He was a beautiful one.
Sorry to hear about Tom he was a real character. But as they say when one life ends another begins and that’s awesome about the chicks
We are going to miss Tom. He seemed to be always on the video, sound if not picture. That's the way nature works and you have already started the next generation.
He will be missed... sharing the sorrow... blessings to Life ... and Death... xoxo
Piece of advice, Clip main feather's off of 1 wing of each turkey or chicken to keep it from flying over fences and such.
Tom was so pretty. And always followed y’all hope new babies do well
Tom Turkey always made me smile. He was a stalker for sure, followed you around everywhere. The babies are so cute and fluffy🦃
We just lost our ducks to minks. It always sucks to have loss like that when you put the time and care into keeping livestock. Sorry brother. Good luck with the hatchlings though! -Mike
I'm so sorry you lost your ducks to minks. :( I hope you're able to get more when you're ready and that the minks don't come back.
Sorry to hear about your tom turkey .Always enjoyed seeing him strut around. Glad to see you were able to hatch out a new batch.
Time to get some trail cams and see what's the culprit and then get some traps
RIP TOM TURKEY! He was so beautiful! All the baby turkey's are cute!
So love your new baby goats. Also exciting about eggs hatching
So sorry guys. He was so beautiful. Congratulations on you new chicks.
Sorry to hear you lost you Tom Turkey, but it's great you got new ones on the way. LOL Will miss seeing the Tom chase you around though!
The Turkey circle of life. Tom has gone to the big bird house in the sky. So sad he's gone.
Sorry to hear about Tom. He was such a gorgeous bird. Love how he always seemed to act more like a dog then a bird, following you around and being curious with everything you do. I love that turkey I hope you can find another one like him
I'm so sorry you lost Tom the turkey, I will miss him and his beautiful feathers, because he was a gorgeous turkey. Can't wait to see more on your newly hatched ones. Have a fabulous weekend Evan and Rebecca, despite your loss. ❤
Sorry about Tom! He was a handsome bird! Eager to see the little ones grow....
Clip the Turkey's wings on other turkeys that you might have. Ohhhh so sorry you lost your Tom turkey for sure. Well I hope you have many many more. God bless.
So sorry to hear about your Tom turkey. I have to say those baby goats are so Precious!
You need to set up a few game cameras in the general area where Tom met his demise just to see who got him. Bet it was coyotes. Also like others are saying clipping the wings keeps em in the yard. Babies are adorable!

You try rolling around in a barrel for a couple of weeks and see what your balance is like. Sorry about the big Tom, he was a very handsome guy.
Sad to hear that Tom turkey won’t be around. He cracked us up! Your baby goats are so cute . The boy looks like the Flying Nun.
Gidget, haha you're right. He's adorable!
so sorry about your tom but the hatchlings are a real gift and congrats on getting so many new hatches!! Hopefully you'll get another tom from that effort.
So sorry about Tom I am happy about your turkey eggs
Sorry about your big guy but very exciting about the chicks! I’ve been wanting to do turkeys for a few years but just haven’t. Interested to see how this goes for you
Sorry for your loss.
Awe,he was so sweet. I had never seen a white Turkey.
Sorry to hear about Tom the Turkey! Glad you did get 5 chicks out of the first batch though that's awesome!

A group of turkeys is called a rafter or a flock.
RIP Tom
We raised a 54 lb domestic turkey to 54 lbs on chicken laying mash.. they'll do just fine
Will enjoy watching the turkey chicks grow.
Hello well that's the way things go. Dinner for something else. Need a enclosed fenced yard for the turkeys that they cant get out. Nice to see the newly hatched turkeys and goats steers look great. You both have a wonderful day.
Sorry about the Tom turkey . Excited for the new babies
Can you clip the wings on turkeys to keep them from getting airborne? They can still get around quickly if needed, but wouldn’t that keep them in the pen?
Sorry for your loss, you need a more secure fence for the turkeys
Careful with the incubating, it can become addicted. We did our first batch this spring for our chicks and the wife wants to do it with every egg now.
Those damn coyotes.
I thought this video was interesting.
Hatching poultry is so interesting.
Keep up the good work.
Sorry to hear about Tom. We have two hens and one tom Royal Palm. We have 16 eggs in incubation right now and hopeful half will hatch. The two hens lay a total of seven eggs per week.
Thats so sad about Tom Turkey . Always thought it was so cute how he'd always showed up wherever you were.
Oh dear! 😳
But that's nature: One creature leaves this world
while another one (even 5!) arrives!
Thanks a lot for the video! 😊👍🏻
I had trouble with my turkeys flying out, too, and then I was told you have to clip their feathers. I did that and it works very well but you have to do it every two months.
We have coyotes around by us. Our German Shepherd is trained to guard our yard and chicken coop
Evan thats the way it is farming, like me i sold 35 feeder calf's now i gpt 30 new calf's so far to replace them.
Sorry about your Tom he was a beautiful turkey.
Do not let the incubator opened too long, it needs a lot of humidity, especially when eggs are in their last days. And take shells away asap, the chicks happen to suffocate with empty shells

Hi, Evan and Rebekah! So sorry about Tom Turkey.
We lost our 5 hens to we think a combo hawks and maybe coon. We have 18 chicks in our coop now including our first 2 turkey chicks. We went with bronze turkeys. They are definitely the most curious ones of the bunch.
So sorry!! We could hear him in the background in all of your videos. He was quite the showman! He had moves like Jagger. Lol
I feel so bad that you loss Tom the turkey yall have his baby's they will be pretty to. 🦃😇💙💙💙💙
Sorry about the turkey. Good luck on the new ones.
God bless❤
Sorry about Tom, congratulations on the new chicks!
Sorry for your loss. You can name one Tommy
Very sad for your loss...

Ground kitten chow, 38 to 40% protein, works good for my game birds
Thank you
I'm sorry to hear this. But I have to ask, why didn't you clip their wings so they couldn't fly out? Glad to see the new babies. They are so beautiful 😍 💖 💜

Turkey barns by my home have as many as 40,000 at a time.

Meal worms are great for baby turkeys and ducks. We used a child's play pen to grow them up. The play pen was 8' X 6' X 3'
That is too bad, unfortunately this is part of farmering. sad to see you lost your turkey i would allways laugh at his antics bood that you have some new one to replace him cheers
You're so lucky look at the beautiful babies
If they are flying out, you can clip their flight feathers to stop them.
Thx again
Sorry about Tom.
Can you clip the turkey wing feathers to keep them in the chicken yard?
We will miss him. He was a beauty.
I guess the coyotes or the foxes got tired of all that turkeys 🦃 noise ?
Oh no!! I've really wanted a turkey like yours. I have chicken eggs in my incubator right now.
I incubated chicken eggs once and didn't know if they can't crack the shell membrane, you have to help let the oxygen in by tearing it a little
Noooooooooooooo not him, I loved him!!!! Oh I am heart broken :* ( Hats of to you, I would not be strong enough to deal with that . Little babies are adorable.

They have a protein tub, but we may need to get a salt block
Love the baby goats.
That's great
Cool video.
