It's not for lowering oil level. Lowering oil level doesn't affect oil pressure at all. The reasons are: 1. Enough oil to not be pumped dry by a quick revving engine or during a tyrn. 2. Better oil longevity due to less trips through the system per volume. 3. Higher thermal capacity for smoother temperature fluctuations. 4 increased cooling. 1 is THE reason. 234 are secondary.
The crank sits in oil? No way, the cam is in between, and even that is above standard oil level. Standard oil sump capacity is however marginal if a big oil pump is used.

Ok with that size deep sump how many quarts of oil will be suitable? So as I don’t want to overfill as you’ve spoken about..
