Yeah I saw that too, that looked so epic. :D He really utilized the Reaper a lot throughout the midgame, really gives to keep it alive I guess!

It's one of the sickest SC2 plays I've ever seen. Imagine thinking it up and executing it instantly

I'll have you know that we use the only objective unit of distance measurement in existence.. the king's foot's length.. multiplied by 5280 for some reason.. yeah imperial is pretty dumb.

Just started playing SC2 yesterday and boy oh boy did people kick my ass. I can now somewhat comprehend how hard this game really is
Just keep going im sitting around gold and silver in 2v2 right now. The main reason for loosing is going full panic mode and forgetting stuff. And i think i should use building shortcuts more often messing up my macro game. Only using Groups but im learning. And try Zerg first i found it to be the easiest starter race hotkeying all bases and just spamming units.
Waiting for lowkos' neighbor comment about those rookie numbers of 5k washing machines traveled.

I surprised it was only 70% watching until the end. You are my favorite solo caster and I cant imagine shutting it off before the end.
I mean sometimes I don't watch all the way through if it's an hour+, I might stop after one of the games and come back to it the next day or something. I'm sure that screws up the statistics.

To this day, i've always been astounded as to why Blizzard didn't do the obvious thing to keep SC2 fresh; just include all of the campaign units but have them and their respective upgrades replace an existing available unit as a cost, so more diverse army comps and strategies can be possible without having everything at once.
I've always wanted to see Diamondbacks, Science Vessels, Corpsers, Abberations, Ascendants, and Vanguards in multiplayer as possible branching unit choices.
I'm shocked that Lowko didn't comment that sick reaper grenade that Clem used to save his marines, that was insane!

With coffee it’s usually a metabolic response as apposed to an addictive response. You’re body gets incredibly accustomed to routine Early morning food and drink. The combination of milk and sugar and caffeine at routine intervals will affect your bodies sleep patterns and other digestive patterns. Cutting off that routine can throw lots of important systems off in very minor ways that often show themselves in the form of headaches, stomach aches, or isolated IBS symptoms.

Everytime I watch these it seems like the Zerg is fighting for his life for like 10 minutes and maybe pulls it out haha.

Keep up the great work Lowko, I've never even played SCII and I'm watching all of your casts regardless, you're just incredibly entertaining and providing all those little infos about the game and the strategies has helped me massively in understanding the game!
Randomly going into iron maiden watching this then hearing Lowko do the same confirms he would be a pretty cool guy to have coffee with even if we didn't talk about Starcraft

So one thing I've heard about this series is that Reynor changed some of hit hotkeys. That could explain that mistake in g1 where he made the swarm hosts. Pretty sure that's not what was supposed to be produced there. He also makes a few other mistakes here and there which might be due to him changing some stuff up a bit. Still a nice series from the both of them!
I'd watched someone else cast this as I was in dire need of some SC2 and there wasn't anything of Lowkos I hadn't seen and, I have to say, Lowko is one hell of a caster! So much energy, always explaining what's going on, pretty much always great "camera" work, showing the action and the important bits, explaining strategies and all. I've yet to find another caster I like watching as much as this man right here.
Also, I feel like that pause in g4 really hurt Reynor's strategy. You were talking in g3 about how a couple seconds in Beckett Industries can change a lot and I feel like had the pause not happened, Clem would have taken maybe 1-2 seconds more to send the marines into the base and the SCVs out of it. In that case, it would have been a phenomenal position for Reynor, who was coming in with a follow up ling bane push. If that had gone perfectly, it would have hurt both the eco and army of Clem. Of course, there is the possibility that Clem would have reacted just as fast. Guess we'll never know. I just found it to be quite unfortunate. Reynor appeared a bit off his game in g5..

Got the same pb as you with coffee Lowko, and yes, that's a symptom of caffeine addiction. Hits me hard especially on Sat/Sun mornings, since on week days I drink my espresso early in the morning, so no time for the headache to kick in...
Everytime series are posted on youtube I wish that the caster would date it so that I would know if I've seen it before or not
Watching first 30 minutes on winter's channel and the last 30 minutes on lowko's because they cast the same replays 🤯

As a low end player floating high gold low platinum, I find dealing with controlling a raven with your army requires too much APM for what it’s worth. It turns awkwardly and is a bit too slow, additionally it usually needs its own hot key as it overtakes things like tank siege and stim hot keys when controlling your army.

Sounds like withdrawal headaches. Your body gets used to the effects of caffeine, so it'll over compensate when you stop taking it. Personally, I only take coffee when I'm dead tired and need to stay awake, like a night shift or xmas party.
Comment for the algorithm, but great games! I love those tense matches where players go head to head in wins and actually play all 3/5/7 games of the "Best of 3/5/7"

The headache from not drinking coffee is because of caffeine withdrawal. Means you're drinking a little too much caffeine and your brain is getting cranky without it. May what to drink slightly less or space out you're consumption across the day.
I like how Lowko is suprised that people stay to the end in a series whole I'm over here wondering who would leave before they know who wins? Although I already did since I saw who won this tournament and Reynor's tweet about it....

5000 kilometers = 5000 washing machines might just be the single greatest "say a random thing so you can keep talking" moment I have ever seen in my life, I was laughing for a good minute straight and will probably get a giggle out of it for quite some time to come whenever it comes up...if it comes up that is, not the kinda thing that's gonna get referenced a lot in my life.

5280 feet per mile sounds like just about the most arbitrary measurement ever but like a lot of our bizarre measurements over here it is/was actually based on something commonly used, in this case it was travel distance over a span of time based on the sun's movement (for a cart I think? this was based on merchants long-distance travel times more than anything else)
likewise the similarly arbitrary-seeming league comes from legionaries' marching practices, it wasn't even based on distance/rate/time but instead on using a surveyor's method of measuring distances while they traveled, so they were straight up mapping the terrain and dropping down the first step for making roads as they marched, the romans had a weirdly uncommon practice of keeping their soldiers productively employed and busy as public works engineers when they weren't on campaign instead of tossing them out the back door to either make their way home or just keep living like a soldier out on campaign in their own territory. or in other words become bandits.
a foot was literally some specific king's foot, if you try to look it up you'll probably find someone vaguely making fun of the guy for the sheer vanity of trying to make everyone use his foot to measure things by but even cursory research into the matter will usually leave you leaning much more heavily towards the belief that the guy was honestly trying to help mitigate the insanity by enforcing *_ANY_* standardized unit, more on that later.
a hand was an average hand across the base of the fingers (so widthwise not lengthwise) and in practice _your_ hand specifically as you constantly measure things against it in your day to day life. this was obviously not a terribly agreed upon distance which is part of why the measurement just never really made it through the standardization efforts of the industrial revolution despite being by FAR the most commonly used unit in day-to-day, especially in a workplace.
a yard was an average step length (specifically steps while walking as if you're trying to cover ground effectively, again based on long-distance travelers) rounded off to the closest foot.
inches though? those are completely utterly arbitrary and I have NO idea why they went with 4 inches to the hand and 12 to the foot.
feel free to make fun of our units for volume and weight though, those are utter bullshit.
uh, literally bullshit: european merchants intentionally prevented standardization on units of weight and mass to game the system to cheat people, so all over europe each settlement had pretty much completely unrelated measures for a wide variety of unit names often even disagreeing on whether those names were for a unit of volume or a unit of mass. if you want to get a hint of how bad it was try looking up how much a "Stone" weighs, then imagine that level of silliness going on for every single unit of measurement and invariably differing from one town to the next. often even one _person_ to the next.
in short before the industrial revolution made standardization so critically important most people with resources and influence actually had a vested interest in keeping everything an unintelligible mess and making "in" groups out of who you shared information with. long distance travel was about the only thing they could abide being functional since they kiiiinda needed it to navigate and get a rough schedule on shipments and travel and whatnot.

However, ok, and I mean this with love, no one is more awkward and unnecessary when things are a little slow in game.

That first game, I've been having it for like a while already.. In my league it's the same terran pressure until u die. I'm 3.5k mmr and it looks like thats it until 7k
