New respect for Bly after this series, especially that last game. He knows he can't really beat Clem in any kind of standard matchup so he has to try "shannigans".
It's Bly playstyle no matter of matchup or opponent. He is as cheesy zerg as Has in protoss

The amount of times people get triped up by the same move in MK/SF/Tekken is hilarious. For the exact reason of "who would do that 4 times in a row?!"
The equivalent of "hiding in plain sight" and "most obvious is least obvious."

SC and SC2 have taken over half of my life. I give my respect to those still playing even though many have left for other games. GGWP to the true MVPs.

JSYK Lowko, Bly's second proxy hatch was a completely different build. The first was the 17 hatch 17 pool 17 gas that was popularized by Serral and mainly used as a soft contain. The second is a 14 hatch that I have never seen before. This wasn't an "if it ain't broke don't fix it" situation, he was playing a sick mind game.
Watching zerg army charging at entrenched tank line always reminds me of when my knights charged at the rabbit of Caerbannog

That was the most entertaining zerg play I have seen in a very long time. Real shame that he couldn't get the reverse sweep. Bly is an absolute savage.

My favorite part of the intro is how you do the little back-of-throat-clearing-sound (part of your native language if I'm not mistaken) on the 'h' in hello and then how you pronounce welcome. It's just delightful to listen to.

Looks crazy, but it's most likely corrosive biles. You know. You press the hotkey and it's set to repeat as fast as possible. That's how they do biles.

Professional efficiency is absolutely ridiculous. At 9:56 Clem went out of his way to mine the 6 extra minerals while waiting to build his base!
In that last Game: Is it Just me or did Bly trade so freakin efficiently with infestor/ravager and it went south pretty fast with the inefficient banelings. That Switch made no sense to me, what am i missing with my platinum brain?
if you check the resource lost tab, bly was doing amazing but that was still only trading evenly vs the terran. If bly didn't have banelings in that fight at 51minutes the chances of him holding his 4th base are extremely small. without a 4th base bly would bleed out and die very quickly, furthermore, both of zergs late game units (ultras and broods) use the melee upgrades. Later the game gets the worse roach ravager infestor trades, so he was trying to transition towards a stronger more stable end game army but got caught in the transition (as it is a very long transition to make)
Yellow looks really good on zerg, btw thank you ESL for keeping the open cup up and going ❤ it feels so much more intense with money on the line.

Was away from youtube for a few days so I couldn't keep up with the videos but casts like this make me so happy I subbed. This was so insane! You got me into watching SC2 despite the fact that I'll never have the multitasking necessary to play it and for that, thank you!
Bly is like that Orc general that keeps flooding units onto a keep and lets opponent think they defended well.. Waits for the opponent to split defending army by sending a portion back to check the rear and in that moment strikes another full frontal again :P :D
Bly isn't the hero we wanted but he is the hero we deserve wonderful enternaing games from him.
As a soon to be lawyer an aspiring US Congressmen, I have never played SCII...however, I am an avid watcher and I feel that the level of tact, instinct, and know how displayed in these games is phenomenal...and potentially worthy of Olympic recognition. Keep it up.

While I don't play starcraft 2 anymore cuz I sucked at it I am VERY impressed I love Chem and Bly games so watching both of them duke it out is even better!

Edit: when I rewatched it it was the lings that tore through everything. And wow this series is great XD never seen someone just do the same cheeses multiple times in a row for a whole series, and he STILL made it to 5 games while doing those cheeses each time.
Now THAT was a GAME! I really enojed it. It was so excited that I almost forgot to eat my lunch :). Thank you Lowko for bringing it to us.

I think adding a spine or 2 would be a massive improvement to proxy hatch. They are basically zerg siege tanks.

dont know if you watched this live on rotterdams channel on twitch but since clem was busy we asked for an interview with bly and rotterdam asked him to which he was super cool to do hehe magical momments. The games were so entertaining and Bly was ... well ... Bly LOL insane gaming momments

3rd game: what is more interesting is, even if Bly losed that push... if the didnt lose on the counter, half that push was funded with resources mined from Clem side... so is almost a win anyway.

Geezus Terran is so OP, a marine is literally the best unit in the whole game. Don't even get me started on how a freaking soldier in a latex suit (ghost) is harder to kill than an ultralisk.

I have to say Bly must be onto some crazy good ideas because you mentioned how good Clem is. I never see Clem Turtle terran and get crazy defences and play so safe against other top players. Bly games are always so enjoyable.

The true question why does holding a shield in their hands allow the marines to use more stimpack?
The y should have the same immune system whatever they are holding and yet they can endure the side effects one extra time when holding a piece of metal.
The shield is part of their body, have you ever seen a marine take off the combat shield?

Clem just before winning the last game: I am the captain now!
I could be placing it wrong (I am only gold league) but using that natural overlord pillar on romanticide results in marines and stalkers shooting the overlord down quite often. I don't think it's high enough. I've watched my replays to try and figure it out but they shoot it down without having any aerial units. They would lose vision of my overlord but then a few seconds later they'd still shoot it down despite it having come to a stop atop the pillar.
