Of course I prefer the original cast, because that was my introduction to this brilliance. Then again, I tend to prefer the cast or makeup of nearly any musical or band that introduced me to anything I've grown to love. These people are amazing on their own merits. Love to the British Hamilton cast from America.
Mr Dusty Musty, yes, Peggy loved Alexander like a brother. The whole point of those lines is that they apply to both characters played by each actor: Lafayette, Mulligan, Jefferson and Madison all fought with Hamtion, but in different ways; Angelica, Eliza, Peggy and Maria all loved him, but in different ways; Laurens and Philip both died for him (this last one is a bit of a stretch, but you could argue that Laurens would not have been involved in the revolution at the level he was had it not been for Hamilton). @@nginamandouma4246 well you have to think about it if you’re talking about his voice. The west end cast is from London and since most people from London have an accent and Hamilton is an American musical they have to try to have a American accent while singing at the same time.

Honestly, this cast is really good too. I have to say though, even though they might sound different because of their accents doesn't mean ya'll can say stuff like "They don't sound good" or something along the lines of that. Also, the cast was probably picked for how they carried out the part rather than how they can sing. Keep in mind that most of the actors can't sing or rap in the original cast, but they're amazing because of the emotion they put into the lyrics.
Are you actually trying to police what people are and aren't allowed to say? People "CAN'T" say they don't sound good? This Burr may be a good singer, but his rapping is objectively a huge weakness compared to both his cast mates here as well as the American Burr. In a play primarily based around hip-hop and rap, casting a lead actor that isn't a good rapper makes no sense.
I saw this cast a few months ago and everything was absolutely perfect! They've really improved since this performance and it felt no different to the American cast
I can confirm! I saw the London version (no understudies, just main cast) and she and Eliza honestly had the most wonderful voices. They were spectacular.
my friend watched it about two weeks ago and r e a l l y didn't like the burr - apparently loads of his really big lines (think the world was wide enough, when he says 'this man will not make an orphan of my daughter') were delivered really weakly/monotone and he didn't have the emotion a lot of the other burr's had.
The emotion in Burr's voice as he says 'and me...I'm the damn fool that shot him' gave me chills! You can hear the pain and regret....this cast is amazing!!
I agree, when I first watched this video I was skeptical, but after going to see it I take it all back! He suits is so well! In fact, the ENTIRE cast suites it! I LOVED Lafayette and Jefferson (played by the same man), and Washington was crazy good too! This is an insanely well chosen cast, gg
It baffles me how a show which is all about diversity somehow prompts people to be extremely negative towards every little thing that is different than what they're used to. Yes, they look and sound different, they have different accents and different ways of pronouncing words with various imperfections. And it's AMAZING! If you are bothered by such differences as Hamilton's height, Burr's lisp or that they are not copying the original cast, you didn't get the point of this show at all.
I think because the soundtrack is so popular people forget that different people perform broadway shows (such as the 500 or so cats revivals) I wish I was lucky enough to see this version of the OG. But all I can hope for is that eventually the show comes to Australia
Same! I am hoping for it to come to Australia too! This show with the different casts give the show such diversity and no matter where you watch it it will be the same show but portrayed in different ways!
I've seen it 3 times and it's been different every time. The 1st was more of a carbon copy of the OBC in Chicago. The last two I feel like the casts can play with their characters more. I also have a not bootlegged at all copy of OBC if you'd like 😎
went to see it last week in vicoria palace, have no words to describe how amazing it was. King George was hilarious, Eliza was gorgeous and the whole show is absolutley brilliant. Loved it.
Many singers lose their accents when singing. And we Americans tend to forget these characters lived in the 1770s - they would have had British accents ;).
Kunaya yes I’m serious. The idea that Brit’s in the 18th century had “American” accents makes no sense. If it is NOT true, please explain to me how every British colony still had BRITISH sounding accents, not American sounding ones. You will never convince me that Aussies, Kiwis, South Africans, Indians, Irish, Welsh and Irish accents developed after the Revolutionary war.
Rolling my eyes at people who just can't appreciate talent and different renditions of a production or a character (w/c is the most interesting part of theatre!). I've never seen fans of a musical so obsessed with its OBC. Don't just appreciate Hamilton, appreciate theatre itself folks
I'm talking about the knee-jerk reaction of "no one can replace the obc you all suck," the complaints of "why did he do it this way when it should be done that way according to obc," and the refusal to acknowledge that each actor have their own artistic interpretation of a character Yes god knows a rendition can suck but saying it sucks for no other reason because it's different from the obc or that an actor is too tall or has a lisp or pronounce things differently is stupid - that's what i mean with the obc obsession
I just hate how they made them do American accents, they're bad and it bothers me. When they sing it's great, but when they speak it grinds on my ears. Should've made them keep their British accents. Yes, it would be weird especially how it's kinda about the American Revolution, but it would've sounded TONS better.
My thoughts on this version of the song: - I love this Alexander. Bless him. - Laurens is awesome. He is softer than Anthony but I think that he is great! He now got my award called "Good Actor, bless". - I love Lafayette. OH GOD, HE'S AWESOME. PLEASE SOMEONE GIVE THIS GUY RECOGNITION. - Hercules has such a deep voice omg I expected him to be like the original but he's deeper. I'm curious how his Madison sounds! - Eliza sounded like her mic kind of broke for a second? Nonetheless I love her and I already knew it. - Washington is just great. - Burr... Well... he is different than Leslie. A lot different. His voice is kind of strange but he isn't bad. He is actually really good, you just have to get used to the voice. I ADORE the "There woulda been nothing left to do" part. He is wonderful there. Also, like, people get super mad about the accents? I can't see a difference between this and an American accent but that's probably because I'm really bad at defining accents.
Yukuro Chan loved your take on this version. I saw the show in February and I thought Tarinn Callander was amazing as Mulligan but even better as Madison. I can see why people who haven’t seen the show are a bit unsure about Giles as Burr, but he’s absolutely phenomenal. He doesn’t overplay Burr, his acting is incredibly subtle. Cleve September is also great as Laurens, and his Philip is utterly heartbreaking. His acting as Philip is dying is frighteningly realistic.
How about Jason? I'm curious, is his Lafayette better or maybe Jefferson? Also, people complain a lot about Alexander, is there really a reason to be concerned or is that just obsessive OBC fans? I am also really happy because today I saw my dad looking at the tickets, so we might go and see the show in December.
Okay so the actor playing Alexander when I saw it in January was the second for the role but I do think that Jamal Westman makes a great Hamilton (forgive me if I spelt his name wrong). Tarrin and Cleve have really stepped up the game for me in both their roles as mulligan/Madison and Laurens/Phillip especially Phillip as Cleve Septembers raw emotion in the death scene is extremely realistic. Lafayette's actor (forgive me I forget his name) is so perfect in the role that for me it's on par with Diggs', even as Jefferson the personality shines through. Gilies plays a great burr for someone with a lisp and Washington's actor is a force of nature in the role, like holy shit especially in one last time.
OMG Alexander is so handsome and I love his voice. So manly. I love Eliza's ( Rachelle Ann Go) voice. I love Lin manuel Miranda's voice too. His singing voice is like anime. So charismatic.
TheNoneUploadGirl No, I mean because she said that he was the one with the Oscar. I'm just correcting that it's the original actor that has the Oscar. Sorry if you misunderstood.
When we speak we skip the r's in almost every word if the r is not at the start of the word . The is a slight r sound but its not as defined as Americans say them , so this is probably something they was told about and told to be more defined with the r's. Honestly they said a few words differently to the original cast and it really stood out.
I personally didn't like Washington! He's a beautiful singer yes, but he sounded far too angry for my tastes. Ruined Right Hand Man a little for me a bit. But I'll admit when he did One Last Time that was amazing
Could people stop bashing this cast. I mean they were chosen for a reason. They’re talented. Even so It’s not like they a replacing the cast recording with this
dayjah32 the problem is you're not substantiating your opinion with any fact. You're just saying it feels a bit icky. If you're just shouting 'BOOO' there's not any point to that. If you were to say 'Well this character struggles with fast rap sections' or something people would be more inclined to take you seriously
same thing for the original lion king, when heather headley was replaced as Nala as well as the others, people FREAKED, come on, they go on to do other shit, let them be...
As someone who’s seen this in London, Burr is f***ing incredible. He’s an amazing performer and his renditions of the finale and room where it happens are breathtaking. He carries the whole show, so happy that i got to see him in this role. I don’t know how long Hamilton will stay in the West End, but if anyone gets a chance to see it, DO IT!! Very different but just as amazing (and even refreshing) to see and hear our renditions of the story and characters. The actor who plays Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson is amazing too, very funny, and almost Prince-esque (and I’m basically in love with Daveed Diggs so it was big shoes to fill!) - and yes, the King George segments are ten times funnier when performed in the UK. It just is. 🇬🇧
I saw about 4 weeks ago and it is amazing. I spoke to people involved and found out that they slowed down the songs/rap just a little for us, which is great! The actor playing Burr is AMAZING!!!! King George stole the show. Hahaha!
I saw Giles Terera as Burr in London's West End, and he was fantastic. Every time you looked at his face, you could see the wheels turning in Burr's head as he calculated every action - but he still managed to melt the audience with "Dear Theodosia." Unforgettable.
I absoutly love this cast. Their American accents are so nearly there to. I mean American accents came from British accents so they do sound quite similar but great jobs anyways
Can everyone stop bashing this cast because of their accents. Yes I'm not overly impressed with the accents but shall I remind you of the Kinky Boots Original Broadway Recoridng where the majority are American but they have to sing in a British accent. It was horrific. So please stop hating on this cast, they all did so well.
I don't hate them because of their accents, I just don't, personally, enjoy how they sung this song. The Ensemble, Alexander and Angelica have amazing voices, yes, but the others... My aunt saw it and she said it was an amazing cast, but from what I hear, I just don't agree. Maybe I'm wrong, but it's just not my cup of tea. The accents have hardly to nothing of importance.
I was lucky enough to see them perform last week and I was really struck by how great Burr was. You know those studious, thoughtful slightly awkward guys who somehow end up with really hot girlfriends? Burr was one of those guys. When you see the show it makes so much sense and really gives the character a depth.
Evelyn Burgos Isn't the whole point of these stupid thread that people think they aren't cute enough? If that's the case then clearly they aren't picked based on looks.
Im a filipina dont get me wrong but why do we get so loud and proud when we hear a filipino making big out there, The moment we hear someone be half filipino we cant shut up fb's creator has some chinese decendency yet no one gave a f
I recently watched Hamilton in London!!! OMG IT WAS MAGICAL!!! 😭😩 I wanted to take a pic with Rachelle Ann Go since she is Filipino pride and amazing but yeah. OMG the whole cast was great.
I saw the British Hamilton in London yesterday and the cast were outstanding! King George stole the show, Alexander and Burr were fantastic. This video doesn't do them justice
Incredibly proud of the London Cast, especially Rachelle Ann Go! I grew up watching her on Philippine television and now she’s on one of the most popular musicals. Way to go! #goosepimples
And also I know everyone is going on about how amazing Eliza is (and she is) but honestly Burr’s performance swept me away way more when i saw the show (though both are incredible! just think he should be getting more love than he is 💖 )
AreYou NormalBass I know!! When j first heard him I was confused, but when I went back and listened to it I realised how amazing he is. I was watching it with my sis and I was saying that the burr is so amazing here and she just looked at me and said "are u serious". I really think he did a wonderful job bringing the role some originality, and I couldn't wait to keep hearing him sing.
It makes me kinda sad seeing the comments of ppl not liking Burr. I thought he was one of the most unique one out of all of them. The way he portrayed Burr was whimsical and just perfect! And I guess its cuz ppl listen to the soundtrack so much they forget these ppl are different and aren't used to "change." Which I totally get...I was one of those ppl myself...until I was fortunate enough to see the show performed by the Hamilton National Tour. Then my perspective changed altogether. Give them a chance! I love all of the ppl in this vid. Tho I have to say the way he says "hamilton" like "Hom-mul-tun" made me tilt my head a little LOL I think the British accent took Hamilton to a whole different level! Hopefully I can see this one day! :)
I do have to agree. I like Schuyler Sisters from this cast but I definitely prefer the original Aaron Burr. And nobody could ever beat Lin at playing Hamilton so I don’t even think it’s fair to compare anyone to him.
Theres no need for hate comments here. You stated an opinion nothing wrong with that. At least you weren’t bashing the London cast like others are. I also agree.
Beautiful! So finally we have some footage of the fantastic London cast I saw earlier this year that I can show my friends in comparison to the (of course also beautiful) original cast album. And I love Giles Gerera's Burr so much. Hopefully one day we can see other songs performed as well!
Patrick Hanft hopefully at West End live like a mash up of Alexander Hamilton, Schuyler Sisters and maybe My Shot. Personally I would want lesser known ones off the album performed but I guess they might not resonate with the audience as much :)
A Unicorn yeah, Burr's accent bothers me a little but I have tickets booked for October so I'm not gonna properly judge each one till then. I watched the illegal recording of the original Broadway cast which is now took down (thanks youtube) so I sort of have my preferences for how I want the characters portrayed. But we'll see. I feel like we should see the show before we form an opinion off one clip :)
I was shocked when I got the news that Rachel Ann Go left Miss Saigon to be a part of the Hamilton cast as Eliza. Still proud of her though. Go Rachel!
It upsets me that people are judging this cast badly from just this one performance which they had to totally restage and include all the ensemble/swings, in a totally new place which is notoriously bad for sound anyway. I saw the show in March and I have to say that when you’re watching it live in the theatre it’s absolutely magical. I personally prefer this cast to the obc and I’m lowkey dying for a cast recording
Don’t see why people are comparing it to the OBC, every actor is different and they are going to perform the character in their own way. I am going to have the unpopular opinion but I prefer the London cast
It’s fricken fabulous. Let the haters hate. The whole show, all the different casts just rock this show to the ground. Plus, my daughter now wants to know who Alexander Hamilton is. Burr is fabulous.
HERC, WASHINGTON, AND ELIZA ARE AMAZING. THEY ARE ALL AMAZING. I JUST WISH PEOPLE WOULD UNDERSTAND THAT WE WILL NEVER BE BLESSED ENOUGH TO HAVE A CAST LIKE THE OBC AGIAN. and we have to get used to this kinda performance without Lin, Daveed, Pippa, Oak, Renée, Jazzy, Leslie Anthony, or Chris. It's different, but it's not bad.
It’s quite sad really that people can’t just be blown away by the talent of this incredible London cast, rather than highlighting all the differences to the original Broadway cast as negatives. I’d listened to the broadway cast recording for nearly 2 years before getting the chance to see the London cast recently, and I came away in absolute awe of them all even after I’d piled on so much expectation from the soundtrack. The way they’ve adapted the script and subtle dictation of language to suit the British audience is incredible and if you haven’t had a chance to even go to the Victoria Palace theatre to feel the electric energy inside of that building during a show, then you sure as hell cant even begin to comment on how they’re performing compared to the original cast. Giles won best actor for a damn good reason, because he’s an exceptional Aaron Burr, him and Rachel John (Angelica) made the show, and if anything you owe them and the cast a huge thanks for making such an iconic American story such a runway hit here in the U.K.
Tom Cross well said! I saw the show last month and have never sat in a theatre with such an excited energy and anticipation before. I didn’t know the show well and have not listened to the OBC recording - I did this on purpose as I didn’t want to go see the London cast with preconceived ideas. The cast are terrific, personally I thought Giles as Burr was amazing, mesmeric and the cast as a whole, one of the most talented I have seen.
It's so hard for me to think of anyone other than Leslie Odom Jr as Burr anymore. The energy he put into that role....
Ratcone IKR it was really weird not seeing the Original cast performing.
Doesn't help that Leslie is not only a great rapper and singer, but a fantastic actor as well. He's hard to replicate.

Nurpus Lmao this Burr just won an Olivier for it
Reminds me of Steve Urkel
The head bob from Burr during "I'm the damn fool that shot him" just made him my favorite Burr.
Yessss ı've been looking for this comment
Ha!! I LOOOOVED it too. Head bob was AMAZING!!
lol
I agree he did so amazing in that role
The height difference in Eliza and Alexander is so cute ngl
Daniel Lestowell because Actor of eliza is filipino..
Cherry Cardines Lorejo she’s actually 5”8 lol
Isabelle Teh if she’s 5’8 then he must be like 6’8 wtf
Trash Ball lol look at 3:27 he looks like a giant compared to the other peopl
Isabelle Teh lol he does
The emotion in Burr's voice as he says 'and me...I'm the damn fool that shot him' gave me chills!
You can hear the pain and regret....this cast is amazing!!
Leto S yes I agree so much!
Ok I can see it
You can hear his voice wavers a bit and it adds so much to that line!
Leto S Finally! Someone who likes the Burr
Madeline Adair
You mean to tell me there are people who don't like this Burr?? Jesus, that's sad.
If any of you had watched the live show in London, you’d realise how incredible the guy who plays Burr really is.
Alex Bradley he really is. I want a full London cast album so bad
Alex Bradley he sounds like a cartoon character
I agree, when I first watched this video I was skeptical, but after going to see it I take it all back! He suits is so well! In fact, the ENTIRE cast suites it! I LOVED Lafayette and Jefferson (played by the same man), and Washington was crazy good too! This is an insanely well chosen cast, gg
He sounds awful I miss Leslie odam jr
Absolutely in love with this Eliza, Mulligan and Washington and ensemble
Thats what i thought
Everyone is too busy noticing burr and ham's actors but bro the others are awesome
PandaMonika yes thank you!!! exactly what i’m thinking
PandaMonika 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Well said!!!
THANK YOU (I thought that Leslie Odom Jr had a lisp too?.)
I think because the soundtrack is so popular people forget that different people perform broadway shows (such as the 500 or so cats revivals) I wish I was lucky enough to see this version of the OG. But all I can hope for is that eventually the show comes to Australia
Chloe P right? I always forget there are different versions and casts
Same! I am hoping for it to come to Australia too! This show with the different casts give the show such diversity and no matter where you watch it it will be the same show but portrayed in different ways!
Same tho 😂
Same here! If only...
I've seen it 3 times and it's been different every time. The 1st was more of a carbon copy of the OBC in Chicago. The last two I feel like the casts can play with their characters more. I also have a not bootlegged at all copy of OBC if you'd like 😎
Awe Rachel Ann Go is so smol
That woman that played Eliza was great omg
Amazingly performed, painfully short. 😭
ugh, this was mediocre. I can't believe people would say this is great.
Eliza Sounds So Pretty! My God! I wish I could hear her sing Burn or Helpless!
Lps Valeria that’s Rachelle Ann Go ❤️❤️❤️
Coconut Nut Peenoise?
there's some audio on Tumblr
pinoy pride!! :))
Lps Valeria listen to the first burn she’s in it
went to see it last week in vicoria palace, have no words to describe how amazing it was. King George was hilarious, Eliza was gorgeous and the whole show is absolutley brilliant. Loved it.
Just saying unlike Americans we don’t naturally have American accents in Britain
Many singers lose their accents when singing. And we Americans tend to forget these characters lived in the 1770s - they would have had British accents ;).
Heidi Christensen That actually isn’t exactly true. Back then the British accent sounded more like and American accent today
Sounds like this writer disagrees. outofthiscentury.wordpress.com/2010/01/21/early-american-accents/
Believe what you want, but Shakespeare sounds better with an American accent
Rolling my eyes at people who just can't appreciate talent and different renditions of a production or a character (w/c is the most interesting part of theatre!). I've never seen fans of a musical so obsessed with its OBC. Don't just appreciate Hamilton, appreciate theatre itself folks
i can appreciate different renditions of a character and still think a particular one sucks.
I'm talking about the knee-jerk reaction of "no one can replace the obc you all suck," the complaints of "why did he do it this way when it should be done that way according to obc," and the refusal to acknowledge that each actor have their own artistic interpretation of a character
Yes god knows a rendition can suck but saying it sucks for no other reason because it's different from the obc or that an actor is too tall or has a lisp or pronounce things differently is stupid - that's what i mean with the obc obsession
ugh same! people are such dicks
zipzapkpop it's my opinion bitch
I just hate how they made them do American accents, they're bad and it bothers me. When they sing it's great, but when they speak it grinds on my ears. Should've made them keep their British accents. Yes, it would be weird especially how it's kinda about the American Revolution, but it would've sounded TONS better.
I really liked Hercules and eliza
hahaha same
Nino Stylianou wow!
Same, but I also like the Washington
I like Herc, Eliza was off tho.
Ok.
My thoughts on this version of the song:
- I love this Alexander.
+Yukuro Chan Jason's Jefferson is AMAZING he's so so funny as Jefferson.
lucy burrowes That's good to hear!
So charismatic.
johnvijavier i agree!
Everyone may hate on burr but he's the one with an olivier award for best actor so 🤷🏾
True dat
having an award wont determine one's perspective
It's not the original actor.
TheNoneUploadGirl
No, I mean because she said that he was the one with the Oscar. I'm just correcting that it's the original actor that has the Oscar. Sorry if you misunderstood.
I prefer him as Burr, I loved his performance in London last week
They pronounce their r's very defined
Neko Marieee remember that they are British and have to use an unfamiliar accent
I know- not trying to be rude, but just stating lol :)
In what line
When we speak we skip the r's in almost every word if the r is not at the start of the word . The is a slight r sound but its not as defined as Americans say them , so this is probably something they was told about and told to be more defined with the r's. Honestly they said a few words differently to the original cast and it really stood out.
Neko Marieee lol ya cuz they actually pronounce them 🤣
For sure Eliza, Mulligan, Washington, and the company sound the best😍
Edit- didn’t realize my comment would get so many likes😊😦
IKRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Mellow AvaJules 💯💯💯
And Laurens was AMAZING - he’s not as good in this clip but when we saw it in London he was perfect
Not the best.. Original was
I personally didn't like Washington! He's a beautiful singer yes, but he sounded far too angry for my tastes. Ruined Right Hand Man a little for me a bit. But I'll admit when he did One Last Time that was amazing
Why am I just finding this the British cast is amazing they are very different from the American cast and that's epic
Пчела Полиция not all, Eliza, Rachelle Ann Go, is a filipino
Yeah, I prefer the British cast singing
Nesh Uy its still the british cast
@@neshuy4126 if they were born in in England they're English. Nationality is where you're born, ethnicity is where you're "from"
@@bluewarrior8805be for fcking real.
Just when I thought I couldn't fall more in love with Eliza...
The eliza SOUNDS SO FRICKING SIMILAR
Eleanor Barkla she sounded like Philipa in this part.
debatable
Could people stop bashing this cast. I mean they were chosen for a reason. They’re talented. Even so It’s not like they a replacing the cast recording with this
Danix. Good point and also these can not be compared to the other casts. Unfair on all our original west end casts beeing compared to Broadway
Ikr don’t determine the quality of the actors by comparing to the originals
dayjah32 the problem is you're not substantiating your opinion with any fact.
Eliza’s voice was pure perfection
dAYUM that eliza is amazing hEck
It just is. 🇬🇧
AreYou NormalBass people are really upsetting me cause they are like “he has a lisp” like yes he does it doesn’t matter that he foes
Yay! I'm seeing it in the west end and I love Burr, Lafayette and King George!
See it's not even that bad a lisp. I think Giles is amazing.
ike
I saw about 4 weeks ago and it is amazing. I spoke to people involved and found out that they slowed down the songs/rap just a little for us, which is great! The actor playing Burr is AMAZING!!!! King George stole the show. Hahaha!
im in love with Eliza
I saw Giles Terera as Burr in London's West End, and he was fantastic. Every time you looked at his face, you could see the wheels turning in Burr's head as he calculated every action - but he still managed to melt the audience with "Dear Theodosia." Unforgettable.
I absoutly love this cast. Their American accents are so nearly there to. I mean American accents came from British accents so they do sound quite similar but great jobs anyways
swift firebolt they are suppose to have american accents lmao
They’re trying their best American accents, but sometimes you can here it bleed through lol
Sabrina Martinez hahhahahah aint that the truth the way they said scammin i was like yeh very british
Apart from Rachel Anne Go, the rest of them are doing American accents...
Bethany King So what? She is the best singer of them all though...
Yes!! I doubt Americans could fake a British accent as well as these British fake an American accent.
The accents have hardly to nothing of importance.
yes yes yes preach!!!
There is no such thing as a British accent, it is called an English accent.
a single white female that's nothing to do with the point she's trying to make lol
When saw both Hercules and Eliza my heart skipped a beat! Like their vocals and they're so beautiful 😍😍.
I just saw this cast in London and I have no words. They are amazing, all of them!
I was lucky enough to see them perform last week and I was really struck by how great Burr was. You know those studious, thoughtful slightly awkward guys who somehow end up with really hot girlfriends? Burr was one of those guys. When you see the show it makes so much sense and really gives the character a depth.
Ooshy I also think he made Burr less "villainous", he brings a lot of humanity and nuance to the character
Jonathan NGO VAN DO I agree! He was super relatable.
dayjah32 Different doesn't always mean worse. Personally it seemed like an improvement for me.
dayjah32 I don't understand how their cuteness really plays a factor tbqh...
Evelyn Burgos Isn't the whole point of these stupid thread that people think they aren't cute enough? If that's the case then clearly they aren't picked based on looks.
I LOV HOW PEOPLE APPRECIATES OUR COUNTRY'S GEM, (Rachel Ann Go) IM SO PROUD AS A FILIPINA!!
kimchi IKR!!! I love how they commended our very own gem...Rachelle Ann Go. ❤
not really. She's just ok.
Im a filipina dont get me wrong but why do we get so loud and proud when we hear a filipino making big out there, The moment we hear someone be half filipino we cant shut up fb's creator has some chinese decendency yet no one gave a f
It's ironic that you're saying you are proud to be Filipino, but your name in here is a Korean food. Just saying.
hahah true. Unpatriotic!
I recently watched Hamilton in London!!! OMG IT WAS MAGICAL!!! 😭😩
I wanted to take a pic with Rachelle Ann Go since she is Filipino pride and amazing but yeah. OMG the whole cast was great.
How much were the tickets? I really wanna see it
Gretchen, stop trying to make fetch happen same
@@filipjonathan maybe more than a few grands
Same, it was utterly amazing. Seen it in the Great Victoria Palace. Need it do it again
I saw the British Hamilton in London yesterday and the cast were outstanding! King George stole the show, Alexander and Burr were fantastic. This video doesn't do them justice
I saw it this week. There was a different Burr in our shows 'cause Giles stopped last year
Incredibly proud of the London Cast, especially Rachelle Ann Go! I grew up watching her on Philippine television and now she’s on one of the most popular musicals. Way to go! #goosepimples
Listen to first burn, Rachelle Ann Go did amazing!!!
Van Hamilton No.
MagicalTorreira 11 this racist is hating in every comments. Shut the fuck up man
Kinda ironic that it is being performed in England don't ya think?
Irok 121 😂
Better in america
O yeah xD
Not really considering all of that happened over 200 years ago
Literally nobody in the UK cares about the conflict anymore
This particular version of the opening number of Hamilton is absolutely stunning!!
ah yes,
Alexander *Hamulten*
maxlovestheatre leave our pronunciation alone
He was Scottish so that's how it would have been pronounced.
I'm crying
maxlovestheatre LMAO
LMAO
Idk why but to me the guy who's playing Hamilton gives off more of a Lafayette vibe
ANGIE MOON BRO HE DOES THO 😂😂
Bcz hes scottish/irish
Nah cuz he's a giant
*IM TAKIN THE HORSE BY THE RE-* -send help-
YESSSSS
And also I know everyone is going on about how amazing Eliza is (and she is) but honestly Burr’s performance swept me away way more when i saw the show (though both are incredible! just think he should be getting more love than he is 💖 )
he's ok I would rather see the og
carmen johnston Good luck with that.
This cast is great. It’s cool to hear the occasional British accent coming through. Love Rachelle Ann as Eliza
After having only memories of the London cast for the past few months I am so happy to have a recording to go back and watch.
Phenomenal cast!
I LOVE THEIR ELIZA
She’s Rachelle Ann Go a Filipina. She also did Gigi in Miss Saigon Broadway and West End and Fantine in Les Miserables West End ❤️
Ophelia S. We all do
It makes me kinda sad seeing the comments of ppl not liking Burr. :)
Carol ASL. Thank you!
Love the English version of Burr seen it twice and he just has so much charisma and charm
Planetary Go! Me too! I saw hamilton in London about two weeks ago and I thought Burr was really good
Burr is incredible, I've had the privilege to watch him for the past 2 weeks and I would say he is one of the reasons to go see the show.
I really enjoyed how he changed some of his enunciation and singing. I'd love to watch the whole thing with this cast!
HOLY SHIT ELIZA MULLIGAN AND WASHINGTON ARE OUTSTANDING
*GO ATE SHIN!!!*
Cheers from back here in Philippines. ♥♥
AAAAA
YAHHH

Not gonna lie... I like the original cast the best. I may get hate comments, but it's just my opinion.
Eliza Redding you don't deserve hate comments i understand the feeling but in heathers
but i love the new cast too
Heishi Rida thank you. I really appreciate it
I do have to agree.
I TOTALY KNOW HOW YOU FEEEELLLLLLLLLLL
Eliza`s voice is so angelic. AAAAAH, SO GOOD.
Yo this Burr is phenomenal!!! Love the uniqueness of his voice
I feel like we should see the show before we form an opinion off one clip :)
yeah burr's accent bothers me a little too
Patrick Hanft was
Trust me, in the real show you will love them all. I thought Burr would bother me but I absolutely loved his interpretation
I was shocked when I got the news that Rachel Ann Go left Miss Saigon to be a part of the Hamilton cast as Eliza. Still proud of her though. Go Rachel!
Yes, she is good - agree
Love their voices so much! Especially Eliza's, Rachelle Ann Go For the wiiiiiinnnnnn!!
I, uh, I think I just fell in love with this Eliza.
The Eliza was great
It upsets me that people are judging this cast badly from just this one performance which they had to totally restage and include all the ensemble/swings, in a totally new place which is notoriously bad for sound anyway. I saw the show in March and I have to say that when you’re watching it live in the theatre it’s absolutely magical. I personally prefer this cast to the obc and I’m lowkey dying for a cast recording
Garrance Narwhal THERE NEEDS TO BE A PETITION FOR A CAST RECORDING OF THIS. I'd listen to it more than the OBC.
This is so true!
Don’t see why people are comparing it to the OBC, every actor is different and they are going to perform the character in their own way. I am going to have the unpopular opinion but I prefer the London cast
Sian Rawlinson me too, pal
Sian Rawlinson Me too. I love them so much.
So interesting to see how different it seems, and then you hear the gorgeous harmony at "you never back down you never learn to take your TIIIIME"
Talk less. Smile more! j
Lafayette/Jefferson in this cast sucks
Like actually
Yeah, but Jefferson sucks IRL, so . . .
I really miss Daveed and Leslie. They really put the spark into the musical and always put a smile onto my face whenever I see them
Awww, my dog’s name is Hercules Mulligan and I call him Herc. Hahaha
The height difference of Alex and Eliza omg!!! Smol bean Rachel is so cute!
Oh my I didn't know Rachelle ann go played on this. Well done girl. Hope to see more of you. Her voice is perfect.
Eliza is fantastic.
The cast are terrific, personally I thought Giles as Burr was amazing, mesmeric and the cast as a whole, one of the most talented I have seen.
i live for rachelle ann go gaahd she's such a star
Yessss I love our London cast! They’re so amazing 😍
Lisa Preece *British not london
I thank god! I thought this was the cast for America. I was gonna scream. I'm not used to this kind!!
LISA MY FAVE DISNEY VLOGGER
They aren’t as good as the original
