This is an Australian flag --> 🇦🇺
    Not this --> 🇳🇿
Imagine calling yourself The Geography Bible and getting that wrong🤦‍♂️
In all seriousness, can any of our Aussie subscribers confirm our list?! Let us know!🔥

I totally agree with your list. Maybe it should also include the good schooling system, top universities with very flexible student loans and decent social security systems.
Not a heaven though, many downsides too like how far Australia is, early closing hours in all the cities, small employment market and very high cost of living

As an Aussie, I am very happy that some people look on the bright side of our Nation, and realize that the goods overwhelm the Bads.
I am just going to put a few points on this video that you did great in and that you could've added.
      1. Low Population Density is definitely a massive up
      2. Yes we are very diverse, and there is plenty of family fun activities here
      3. Our health care system Is amazing, but it would be great if you mentioned the fact that it is free (same as education).
      4. Our Beaches are Definitely some of the best you will find in the world, and as a Sydney-sider, I love going to Bondi, Coogee, Manly, Balmoral, Freshwater, Curl Curl, and much more. The surf is great all along the coast.
      5. Would have loved it if you included that our Emu's are so intelligent, that we lost a war to them.....
      6. Yes, the people here are very kind, if you are lost, there is almost a 100% chance that the first person you ask for help will give you help. I once got lost in Chatswood, so I asked somebody for their phone so I could check where I was, they did not hesitate to help me.
      7. I definitely agree, in Australia, you don't ask somebody to be your friend, you are their friend already until you prove this otherwise, it's normal to wave or say hello to somebody while walking down the street.
      8. Yes, it would be disappointing to make a video on Australia without including the wildlife.
      9. The Deadly wildlife is rare, but when you do come across one, instead of panicking, you just leave the dam thing alone. Pretend its not there, but just don't approach it.
      Thanks for the great list!

Oh dear!! the southern double-cross!! NZ's flag has the RED stars, that's how you tell them one from the other.......Sorry but I personally prefer NZ over Australia, much more liveable country, weather like UK, no assorted "nasties", great scenery, no deserts, much easier to drive/get around in, and they play a mean game of rugby too.

    Two small corrections:
The flag shown towards the end of the video is New Zealand's flag, not Australia's.

Here are ten reasons why Australia is not the best country. There are sharks that kill and eat you. There are jellyfish that sting and kill you. There are crocodiles that kill and eat you. There are snakes that will bite and kill you. There are spiders that will bite and kill you. There are billions of dangerous ants and even more white ants that can destroy anything you build. The sun can burn you skin dry and scorches the earth dry. Many places have to store rain water to survive. 40% of the country is desert. It costs a fortune to visit relatives and friends from the other end. The sun goes to bed far too early. There is very little greenery compared to the size of the country. It seems that everyone is shouting instead of speaking. I spent six weeks in Australia in 1997 I could hardly wait to get back to my green and pleasant land,Britain. Oh, and it is full of Australians.

Great beaches, good food, very clean, great transportation available, Sydney is an amazing city, full of parks and old architecture, love the Mediterranean kick back attitude and very open minded. When I got back to the states it was culture shock. From 16 to 26 I lived on the beach, now when I arrived at SF airport it was 10 times the size and it did not have the kind and gentleness of Australia. It was awesome. I was in Sydney most of the time. Rented a car and travelled south as far as possible, went for a bunch of hikes right outside Sydney, checked out a bunch of bars, restaurants, breweries, etc. Them Aussies know how to live life. There are more homeless people per capita in Australia than in most other developed countries in the world, more than the USA or Canada and about the same as the UK. The salary is good only if you are paid legally, pay your taxes so that the unemployed can get it.

A two hour drive from Sydney is easy, so I can go from a large vibrant clean interesting city to a beautiful coastal town with never ending beaches an estuary a lake with mountains in the background and a blue sky that goes on forever.
But the beauty is not just a small coastal town near mountains ............. it's in the sky!
The night scene gives one a view from the southern hemisphere into the dense centre of our galaxy, combine this with no light pollution and you can see a star field in the sky that you can make a shadow on the ground from starlight using your outstretched hand!.......... the stars are so bright dense and vibrant they form as one vast mass of stars.
I make a trip often and we just lay on the beach all night having a few drinks, counting shooting stars, satellites, and things up there that cannot be explained.

Yes you can literally take the longest walk on the beach, start at Bondi and go in either direction. Aussies get along so well with Brits (or "poms" as we tend to call them) because the majority of Australia's white population are descended from convict and settler populations from the UK, and we regularly beat you in cricket.

Just fyi, having a low pop density can also be very isolating for Europeans. You can literally drive for 3 days straight and not see another human being. Most Aussies won’t leave the big cities for that reason; there are many beautiful places, but you have to drive for hours and hours to get get there, often through rugged non inhabited country. I live in Australia, but half my family is from the uk. I notice when they’ve come here and left the cities the sense of isolation really affects them.

Well as an Aussie born and bred, isolation is what I crave, when I go camping on holidays, I dont want to see another human, just me mum and the kids. No phone reception, no data, just you and the bush, no car sounds, no cities, no barking dogs just you and nature, its great. Of course you have to have the mindset, you have to be self reliant and prepared, I have a Sat Phone for emergencies, first aide kit and know how to use it, always carry twenty litres of water in the car and two litres when walking. But trust me when you get used to camping out under the stars, a full moon in a quiet desert, or in a quiet moaning forest with no other sound, but night life of owls and possums, the odd dingo howling, there just is nothing like it. The idea of holiday in in a busy city, or resort, crowds and traffic, is stomach turning to me, shopping malls, theatres, amusement parks is not for me.

Yes I can concur with all your reasons why Oz is the best country. However U.K. beats Oz on a few points: 1) Mental health care: a psychiatric consultation in U.K. is free, while in Oz it'll cost you $295, and that's after your Medicare rebate. 2) Tax: Everyone in Oz has to do their own tax return. Yes they usually engage a consultant, but guess who's laughing all the to the bank. In U.K. this most often done by someone in Payroll, and it doesn't cost you anything. 3) Weird language. For instance: instead of a doctor saying "free service" they say "bulk-billing"! What?!

The state of Victoria, especially on the coast is as close to the UK's weather as it gets, with the exception of snow. Australia does have an Alpine region, where the snow is more than enough to ski on, but the rest of the state doesn't get that cold. In Victoria you really can experience all four seasons in one day as you might i the UK. By contrast, Western Australia will rigidly stick to one season per day, and with rare exception, will do so for the whole seasons. Added bonus; imagine still wearing shorts until late April, which is what Autumn looks like here

Schooling in Australia is pretty good, but the camps are amazing. You can go to nice places. (Aussie fact: WA is the 2nd largest country state in the world, it literally is a third of the country)

Nice video mate! I'm Australian and left to live in the USA at 25 (through a job, now a permanent resident there). I did love the natural beauty of Australia, but I didn't love the 'tall poppy syndrome' and isolation from the rest of the world (25+ hours to travel to EU??) - never really felt like I fit in.
While I'll always be Aussie, I don't regret leaving - more job opportunities and a life philosophy that aligns with my own more closely!

Is it true that Australians will insult , humiliate you instead of praise, support you , if you achieve anything?
Do Australians drink a lot of alcohol?
