My husband builds and does remodeling... and he was impressed! I HATE to watch stuff being put together.... but I sat here and watched the whole thing, talking out loud saying .... This is one amazing lady! That's how my husband got interested in the build. LOL Good job! You should be proud of yourself.

That is so awesome. It's great to see the kitties loving it after all the love and work you put into it.
I've had this same catio for about a year now. Mine showed up damaged, so I got a refund. But I was able to fix the broken bits after a trip to my local hardware store. Here are my top tips to enjoy it longer... Keep the wood bottom off bare ground to prevent rotting (I put bricks under the perimeter to help wick away rain and prevent digging since I left the ground exposed inside it). And ziptie the shelf supports to the outer walls. Since the wood is pretty soft, I noticed the screws ripping out from my cats jumping on and off the shelves after a couple weeks. I added an extra screw to each bracket, and the zipties have helped prevent any separation or collapse. Bonus: add some solar string fairy lights to the ceiling for visibility and ambiance.

Omg, you made this look so easy. 😂 Me and my husband had so much trouble figuring out what side was inside vs out, and what side faced towards the ground. It took us two days. We must be idiots; your video was a life saver. 🤣🤣
Great work! I also built an encolsure solo, it's hard work! Just a really important point, i think you need to screw it down onto the platform, as you don't want it falling off and injuring your cats. Apologies if I missed you doing this, as I didn't have time to watch the whole video through.
OMG, I just stumbled upon this channel. This list he EXACT catio I have. I was able to put it together myself and 2 years later I have no complaints. I really recommend it.

Just a little suggestion . You should attach the caption to the stand and also anchor them to the RV this comes from living in a RV with pets . It's a whole lot safer for them .

I have a question about the security of this catio...would you recommend brackets of sorts to mount it against house siding? I want to place it like how you did against the windows but I'm worried it can move if not properly secured against the house and they can escape..also are you planning to put a doggy like window door for them? Great video btw, was looking for something like this!

Hey lady! I just subscribed to you with this account and the 3 other accounts you have, well not Adams... I been watching all 4 for awhile. When the cabin is done, would you get a litter robot? I seen one add, not sure how true it is, that a kittens paw was caught in the rotating part and some turn on when a cat is in it. Let me know if that's an idea but they are way expensive!!! I foster kittens and would love one as the kittens come in all different sizes and litter sizes! Thanks!

I live in a fifth wheel camper on a rented lot. I've been wanting one of these since I moved here. I'm disabled and would have to hire someone to assemble and install it. You have to build a bottom for the catio so that would need hired too. Could you install a padlock for the outside? I live in town and there are a lot of people wandering around that could open the door. I'd have to get a flap door. No camper needs another air leak. Thank you! ❤ 😺

I'd put a borad that comes down from the top platform. Easier for that one to get down but maybe there is something there already. Just kitty can walk down it. 4x2 wide would be good. 🎉😊 I need you here to help build stuff. 😊😊

I love this video. I have a question I am hoping you can help. My cats are becoming super picky and waste some of the wet food I buy. I spend aprox about 40-50 a week on their wet. I want to wean them off the wet do you have any suggestions.
To start, get lab work done. So many older cats can get picky with things like kidney issues. It can be one of the first signs of an issues. As long as there isn’t a medical cause, you can try different textures. I have one that won’t eat pate and another that only likes it mushed and with lots of water added (a soup) and then another that won’t eat out of bowls, only flat plates (cats don’t like their whiskers to hit the edges.

Kudos for you putting it all together by yourself that's like me everything I do by myself but I did notice the catio is very frail and the roof is flat if it starts raining then cats are out there they're going to get soaked

I noticed you have a orange cat. I have one too but he is so mean to my females. How can I break that ?
I realize it’s been three months, but I just thought I might ask if your orange cat is neutered. I have a male cat who is neutered and he is really mean to my female cat. However, he was a stray Tom cat for a few years before I ended up with him. He was neutered later in life.

I know a bit about it. I know it’s uncommon and most the time by the time it’s found is already stage 4. You definitely need a specialist if you want to treat it.

I have the same catio, you're a boss doing that by yourself. The only fault I've found is that the roof needs canted, rain pools and I have roof damage
I built the platform with a slight tilt to it. Maybe find a way to place a small wedge or angle it slightly? But I get what you are saying.

I plan on buying this catio to use indoors in my large studio apartment.. that I’m moving into. Two of my cats need to be separated from my other cats. They were in my larger 3 room apartment behind closed door. However, This catio will provide them safety in the new studio and also allow them to acclimate with the other cats behind the screens!

Great job. I’m doing an extra one, kinda like this one, since the first one I made from scratch was mostly plywood, so the weather has pretty much destroyed over the five years. It’s been out there in the central Texas summers. My cat door has the same kind of latch that yours does (the little red lock), and as I to have escape artists, they learned how to work the lock, so they could go out even when I locked them in the house. It’s an easy fix once you finally figure out how to do it, but I drilled a small hole through the white plastic, under the red latch part (to insert a small screw, so when opened, it would stay open, and then , once in the locked position, drilled another hole (insert screw) to keep them from moving it into one of the other positions. Once you drill those holes, you just insert a small screw into the holes, only hand tightening (so they can’t remove them) to hold the red latch into whatever position you’re wanting it to be in at the time…. If that makes any sense. 😊

Yes, our bird feeders get put up at night and the bears shouldn’t care about the cats.

I built a big entertainment center about 30 years ago by myself, but I had to use a manual screwdriver because the battery powered toys hadn’t been invented yet or they were too pricey to afford. It took me almost 9 hours to build it by hand rofl! You’re truly a pioneer woman and don’t ever stop! 💖
