In those conditions its a plus so don’t apologize for the weather, its ideal to test in extreme conditions which is realistic. For search and rescue 👍🏼👍🏼keep testing in extreme weather.
Thank you for the video, checking out the performance of the lights under harsh conditions gives us a better review of what they can do. I live just north of Yellowstone in Montana and the weather is always erratic. Amazing review!
Proprietary charging and batteries are a fact of life at this point with flashlights... But why create a completely new battery and not make it a half inch longer and use the 18650 from the WM2 and Baton 3 pro? And give it so much better run times... Bizzare decision from olight. But it's olight, so people will buy it anyways. Lol
Totally agree with the bizarre choice. I was super excited to buy this light and then saw it runs on a approx 2000 mah 18500 and it just spoiled it for me.
Olight really are modelling themselves around Apple. Not just the build quality and packaging but completely bizarre choices from time to time. The tiny battery choice makes zero sense. As does the lack of a lower output mode so giving a maximum of 5hrs!
Strangely I own all four of these torches and they are all fantastic. My most used is the Baton 3 pro but love them all. Olight make some of the best products on the market. Would highly recommend them to anybody.
One problem of Olight is the proprietary charging cable. There are multiple occasions of multi-day trips I forgot to bring the cable. I will always prefer USB-C now.
Thanks for this... I just ordered a Javelot mini. I wish it had a moonlight but I get it... sometimes simplicity is good. The Baton 3 pro is an incredible edc and I love that Olight gives ue the option of neutral white!
I passed on the Javelot because of this. I like having moonlight and even though the beam would be narrow, two powers that are oboxiously bright mean that this is an outside flashlight, and I use flashlights a lot inside.
@Shénmì Shèshǒu totally understandable. I never was a big fan of the Baton, but the Baton Pro 3 is awesome. It's shorter than previous Batons, has a moonlight mode, and you can get it in neutral white.
@@Madman6505 Yep, the Baton Pro 3 is a great all around choice. The new Warrior Mini is also a similar size and capability and another all around great light. If I were in the market for a compact long throw I would probably do the Ant Man LEP. But I love magnetic charging so am holding off for Olight to make a competitor.
Great showing just picked up 3 light from Olight.the marauder mini the javelot mini and the seeker 4 Pro yes the wife thinks I’ve lost it but it okay 😂.as much as I love them all the javelot is the favorite of the three.thanks again for sharing such a great show.
Baton 3 pro for the pocket and then seeker 3 pro for the truck is perfect. Everything from .5 lumens all the way to 4200 what else do you need for daily use
The battery status is the best feature of the olight - IMHO. no problem with the magnetic charger - provided the other end is usb C for 3amp fast charging.
I have a baton 3 pro max in warm white for my pocket EDC. Im indoors most of the time, and this is the best indoor EDC for me, and is easy my most used light now. I keep a Javelot Mini in my jacket pocket, that's my main self defence/outdoor light. I have a warrior x 3 for "tactical", but if I'm honest I haven't really used it much, it just sits next to by bed, it's what I'd grab if there's a noise in the night. I love the idea of tactical / fighting flashlights, but they are a bit cumbersome for edc, and I feel a little bit embarrassed to use one in front of other people for 90% of flashlight use cases. Currently trying out the new warrior mini 3, it's fantastic, if I was only to carry one flashlight for edc this might be it. But I like warm white flood profile for most use cases, and as of now the wm3 is only available in cool white. The tail switch and small bessel make it suitable for self defense, but if I had to use it the daytime for self defense I think I would want something with a bit more of a focused beam, because it's very difficult to startle someone when their eyes are adjusted for sunlight. I haven't tried the Warrior 3s, I like how it's not over the top in tactical appearance, has good beam, decent throw and spill. But it still don't think it would replace the Pro Max WW for my pocket EDC. So it would be instead of the Javelot, and I'm not sure it would do that role any better.
I got a S15R Baton once for very cheap from china (i think i paid less than 15$ over banggood with a discount code! On Amazon it was for like 60-70$!) The S15R impressed me the most of nearly all of my flashlights, mainly because for less than 15$ i got a complete flashlight, a rechargable olight 14500 battery and the charger/docking station. With a spare battery i paid less than 20$! Also, it runs in an emergency also on regular AA batteries which is a HUGE PLUS since the small 14500 LiIon run out of juice very fast. The magnetic back, internal charging, tailstand capability and super lightweight, still robust construction make the S15R a damn good light im happy with since many years already. Its ofc not my only EDC or emergency light, therefor its not robust or running long enough, but its a lovely small and capable light!
I do not understand why Olight designed the Javelin Mini with such a small battery. This is highlighted by the fact that it doesn't have a moonlight mode so the Maximum run time is just under 5hrs. Which is not good if you are stuck somewhere with just this! However, it 100% does has a use case as an additional thrower if you already have a long runtime flood and occasionally want to be able to see long distances as well.
Got it the javalot mini, got the arcfeld, warrior nano,2 seeker 4 pros, seeker 4 mini, warrior mini, baton pro max 2500 and the muarder witch is my favorite a little bulky but awesome and finally the warrior 3s coming Saturday and I’m done. Gonna check out a couple of imalent lights
The Seeker 2 is better than the Seeker 3. It's smaller, brighter and has better throw with less lumens. More isn't always more and the Seeker 2 holds turbo longer.
I have seeker 2 I gave away seeker 3 pro and warrior 3 s to my sister who is correctional officer. She said the 3 pro broke so she has warrior 3 sI’m waiting to receive the seeker 4 pro . The seeker 2 I gave to my mom. She is 91 needs a reliable simple use flash light.
U should review thrunite tn12 pro. From 1900 lumens 380 throw 36,000 candela and as low as $40-50 bucks I thinks it's by far best bang for your buck edc. Olight I can't get behind the charging system. I just own olights pen2, i5r eos ti and the imorse (was free from olight last sale) which I love them all since they don't use the proprietary power system.
Rich, the TN12 pro has been on my list for a while. Just haven't pulled the trigger on it yet. What do you think of the color temperature on the light? I've seen some people say they don't like the purple ring around the outside of the spill area? Is it very obvious or distracting from the main center of the beam?
@@sknight0391 to me no its not overly distracting. It's a great light it's only weak point is CRI which falls under what you mentioned but honestly if you get it, u will not be disappointed. It's one hell of a light. Ui is top notch and the power it produces in a package u can take thru the airport to another country to have as a defensive tool that's allowed is a big plus for me. Even if lost its only around 50 bucks to replace. What u only trade for being low cost is CRI and after few mins on turbo it'll get hot BUT tell me another edc/tactical light that can do 7 mins on full turbo before step down for 50 bucks...it won't be many
I now have 5 olights. Yeah the proprietary batteries are a bit annoying but i have so many chargers now I keep two in my car, one in my house, one in my camer bag and one I haven't opened yet (a second seeker 3 pro)
Personally I prefer to carry a flashlight on a shoulder strap or on my head,so my hands are free. Best light I have is a Olight SR95 Intimidator, no longer available.Shoulder mounted. Had for 12 years & still flawless including original battery. Also have X9r & X7r. Both blind everyone coming in the opposite direction with poor throw. The 7R is like a coke can so bad to hold. Have a Javelot turbo great throw but still handheld. Also lots of smaller ones that are edc. The ones you are show casing are similar to X7R not edc & won’t fit in a pocket with poor output?
Love watching your reviews but my Wallet doesn’t lol I just got my Javolet today and have all the lights in the video and must say they all are awesome lights and the throw of the javelot os insane for a small light
Ordered one because of the sale. It's a great light but I ended up sending it back. I should have looked closer at the specs, I assumed it used an 18650 based on the size. I already have a warrior 3 and mini2... no way am I adding another size battery into the mix. Also very strange that the mini is a much smaller light but has significantly larger battery. Very odd decision over in their design department.
Nice Flashlight. I would prefere baton 3 pro or seeker 2/3 (pro). Floody Light is much more useful at the lower modes, in everyday situations when you need light and in low/medium range situations. Just my opinion. Throwers in general have a very specific field of use, for me they are not that practical. Never mind how small they are
The Olight mafia needs to offer their flashlights with USB-C charging capabilities, preferably in the sleeve as well as non proprietary batteries, preferably rechargeable. Lose the fancy magnetic Olight charger when you need it and you don’t have a light. 🤷♂️
* In nerd voice. “Well actually…” That’s you. Oh and btw, I said it was OLIGHTS first EDC thrower and that was direct from Olight. Plus the R20 isn’t really an EDC light but It’s debatable
So, for a few minutes it will be at max Lumens and then ramp down to 500 or 600 lumens? Why promote it then as "1000" lumens? It is nothing more than a mediocre flashlight. Nitecore is by far better. But then again the majority of Olights are mediocre and just marketed as something it is not.
Literally every flashlight company promotes their flashlights that way. Yes even Nitecore. I’ve talked about this several times in my videos how I wish companies would stop advertising that way.
I have fenix tk16v2, looking for another with longer throw and still good spill. I'm looking at the nitecore p23i, says it can hold high at 1,500 for 2.5 hours. Do you have any recommendations? also have marauder mini showing up in couple of days.
In those conditions its a plus so don’t apologize for the weather, its ideal to test in extreme conditions which is realistic. For search and rescue 👍🏼👍🏼keep testing in extreme weather.

Seems all about making a profit adding another proprietary battery to olight store and leaving room for upgrades?
i liked it enough to buy a spare battery. i have spare 16340 and 21700, too.
Just got a baton 4. Im amazed at the performance. On sale for only 48 dollars.
