    • @pauljs75
      @pauljs75 7 лет назад +2

Thing is the current known ways of producing it are likely not the most efficient. Super colliders are made for doing other research than just that. Just so much energy going in for a minimal output that may as well be a side product, it's not cost effective.
A device specifically made to produce the stuff may work much better, but if a more optimal way of doing it exists I don't expect that info to be public anytime soon. If it's part of a black-budget program, then it's likely comparable (with inflation) to the cost of developing the first nuclear weapons.

    • @A.A125
      @A.A125 7 лет назад +6

That bitch Amara imagine this theory applied to New York. What if we take all of the nuclear weapons of 1986 nuclear weapons And take the Edward Tellers Hydrogen bomb and manufacture that bomb into the original 70,000 nuclear weapons put into one.
First if the original 70,000 nuclear weapons were to detonate in New York that would be 4.769 gigaton.
To start with our measurement, The "ton of TNT" is a unit of energy defined by that convention that to be 4.184 gigajoules
1 kilo-tons of TNT is equal to 4184000000000 joules
So we will have to times 4.184 gigajoules
The theoretical hydrogen perfected bomb is 10 gigatons.
So we will have to convert 10 gigatons to gigajoules which is 1.184e+ 10
      Result: 10 gigaton = 41,840,000,000 gigajoule
Now that is Edward tellers Hydrogen bomb, let us see what will happen if we manufacture 70,000 Edward Tellers Hydrogen bombs and detonate it at once.
      10 gigatons (4184000000000) x 70,000 = 2,928,800,000,000,000 gigajoules by tons it is 6,998087954e-10 gigaton
This is equivalent to 700,000,000,000,000 tons of TNT
If the 1986 total of 70,000 nuclear bombs can cover the landmass of 376km/234miles out of 4.769 gigatons
      (19953496000 gigajoules)
Now let us find out how much landmass it will cover with our theoretical 70,000 Hydrogen bomb detonation.
      1 Hydrogen bomb is 10 gigaton = 41,840,000,000 gigajoule
70,000 Hydrogen bomb is 2,928,800,000,000,000 gigajoules
The centre of the sun is 15 million degrees Celsius, also by converting it into gigajoules it is 400 quadrillion gigajoules
      1 quadrillion is 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (1024)
The centre of the sun is 400x that ^
The 70,000 hydrogen bomb super hydrogen bomb is almost 3 x Quadrillion. The comparison to the sun will be 0.3% but to really understand what this type of energy we are dealing with I recommend this video
      ruclips.net/video/J0ldO87Pprc/видео.html
      Calculating the radius.
gigatons x 4.769 = 33,383km/20743.234 miles of the radius of the landmass of Earth.
The planet's rotation causes it to bulge at the equator. Earth's polar radius is 3,949 miles (6,356 km) - a difference of 14 miles (22 km)
Using those measurements, the equatorial circumference of Earth is about 24,900 miles (40,070 km). However, from pole-to-pole - the meridional circumference - Earth is only 24,812 miles (39,931 km) around. This shape, caused by the flattening at the poles, is called an oblate spheroid.
70,000 Hydrogen bombs will basically cover almost the entire landmass of earth by 1 supertonic blast. No life will exist, everything will be cooked and even deep ocean creatures will be boiled towards the surface, apocalyptic investors will see no use as the bunkers they have bought will melt by the molten lava which is usually at temperatures from 700 to 1,200 °C (1,292 to 2,192 °F).
1 Gigajoule is exactly 1,000,000,000 Joules
      1 Gigajoules to British Thermal Units (60 °f) = 948154.8906
70,000 hydrogen bombs of that gigajoules is 2,928,800,000,000,000 so we times that number with our British Thermal Units (60 °f) = 948154.8906
      Which equals = 2.776956e+21
To understand the magnitude of that number visit this website below
      mathforum.org/library/drmath/view/57140.html
The joules of a gamma ray burst, If the radiation was emitted in this way, 3×1047 Joules of energy was required in less than a minute (the equivalent of 100,000 supernovae going off simultaneously) for the most energetic bursts.
      (3e+48) / 100 x 2.776956e+21 = 8.330868e+46
That is 8% of the energy compared to a gramma ray burst We made it almost half of that by when we trigger such a energy at its highest peek. not only will the earth be obliterated by such a blast but we will effect our solar system as we will not be able to witness it, the outcome will radiate even our most distant planet depending on whether it is effected by the blast if positioned and timed perfectly, but the brightness from Pluto the blast will overlap the brightness of the sun, it will almost appear like a second sun for a brief moment. The energy will be so great that it will strip many layers of the earth, jupiters ice moons will be effected by the heat of such a blast as well as mars and Venus, but talking about life on earth, even lava itself will become vaporised, the material of what makes earth.. earth will dissipate into space, at best the earths core may survive due to the protective layers, if there was to be a new earth that forms, it will be much smaller than its previous size. No evidence of anything if beings was to evolve in the new earth can find any trace of us or this world. In other words it is a complete fact we will not exist or have evidence that we even had exist, everything about this existence will cease to matter once such a bomb is created, everyone and everything will disappear as well as a decent portion of the planet.
The dimension of the blast will need visual understanding to try and wrap your brain upon how big such a bomb will look like
      ruclips.net/video/oOWxmclxwMM/видео.html
But the 211,200 ft and times that by 70,000 of those combined into one will be 14,784,000,000 ft.

the one problem with using a 1 gigaton bomb is that it wouldn't have as big of an impact as you may think. remember nuclear bombs destroy by using the heat, blast and radiation which goes through the air. most of the energy from a 1 gigaton explosion would go upwards into space and dissipate and into the ground. the lateral blast energy would only reach so far

there are designs floating around out there for a 1 gigaton nuclear weapon. and if it's designed like i think it is then it's going to be a bomb so massive that it can only be delivered by a heavy lift cargo plane such as a C5 galaxy, or by a very large rocket. it'll likely be a triple or quadruple stage fission/fusion bomb. after all the Tsar bomb was a 3 stage weapon

There are quite a few variables that can affect the blast radius of any weapon, nuclear or not. I am no sure if I want to dig out my nuclear weapons effects circular slide rule to check his cookie cutter approach, as I do have better uses of my time. He does not say if he is using a surface burst for his radius, or an air burst. If so, what are the criteria for the air burst? Optimum burst height to maximize what overpressure. Ih he using 5 pounds per square inch, suitable against frame buildings, or 10 pounds per square inch overpressure, more suitable against steel frame buildings. The higher the air burst, the more energy goes into heat and the less energy into blast, as the air is thinner at high altitudes. That reduction also needs to be taken into account. Then there is the terrain surrounding the area of the burst. That has a large effect on the propagation of the blast wave, while large buildings absorb some of the blast wave in the process of being blown apart. It all sounds so nice and scientific, but in the real world, probably not.
