What is Emission Control System?

An emission control system is a system that limits the discharge of noxious gases from the internal-combustion engine and other components of a vehicle. The system includes a series of functions that keep the emissions as low as possible. The system isolates and contains the gases within a closed system. The main gases that the system controls are carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, and nitrogen oxide.
