KTM's 390 adventure is one the best ADV in its segment, the design looks aggressive sporty at the same time purpose full. Now with these spoke wheels it looks even better. Then the performance of that mad 373 cc engine.the handling and braking is also best in its class. The 390 ADV already came best in class electronics and features, and now with addition of adjustable suspension its a complete package. Sure it is expensive than before but it's worth it. However most people consider riding on road more than off it so X variant is will be their pick which coasts almost 80k less than the SW. But either of the variants are not bad at all, it depends on the users choice. Overall ktm has done a great job by launching the SW in India, although they could have changed the name atleast, something like rally.

Himalayan also have the same drawback, but comparing it with adventure 390 sw, , Himalayan is still better for off-roads ..with greater fuel tank capacity and efficiency too ..
Guys, do you know that it has a bigger sibling, the mighty 890 adventure R. It is a beast. Have you all heard about the legendary Chris Birch? KTM has even a bigger machine the 1290 KTM super Adventure R. Unfortunately both the behemoth machines are not available in India. Sad and shocking.

Great bike. But Bajaj is still not learnt their lesson. They still have separate assembly line for export model and domestic models for ADV390 even with SW model. (Confirmed by close friend who works as DE at Chinchwad R&D) wanna see proof. See the cylinder block casing mid joint on dometic engine and export models. Additional QA checks done on export models. Why this stepmotherly treatment to domestic lots???

no centre stand ...not all the mechanics have the right equipment to change/fix tyres/punctures especialy in remote areas (during leh n other remote trips)
KTM has opened a dealership in Ladakh recently. With this, at least the Leh-Ladakh riders are likely to get roadside assistance.
