I'm drooling over those HBO tapes.
I still am! I haven't watched all of them, but I am uploading stuff from them here: ruclips.net/channel/UCfm2a3Ak9cwLw-VlwXJSLSw
love it! I wait all month for your thrift store haul vids.
You won't have to wait as long for the next one, hopefully! We're already over half way through May!
you gotta b kidding ! those home videos! man, you must've had to blink twice! Wait for the beep! That song is a part of the 80s for sure! wow! Thanks weird Paul!
You have to understand how I ALWAYS say to myself "one of these days I'll find old HBO tapes" or "one of these days I'll find old tapes of Friday Night Videos". And then I find both in ONE week!
MY OLD PLAIN !! =O nostalgia overload !
Wait for the beep! You gotta leave your name, you gotta leave your number..... I haven’t heard that in years! 😂🎶
I had that crazy calls tape when I was a kid and we put a couple different ones on our answering machine.
I loved putting really crazy stuff on our answering machine. My dad threatened to unplug it because it was getting too weird!
Awesome! I remember the answering machine tape. The commercial for it played all the time back in the mid 80s. My parents never would buy it for me.
That was the kind of thing it was hard to talk your parents into.
My friends and I would sing that "Wait for the Beep" song all the time when we were young and begged my parents to buy it, they refused. So we made our own "Crazy Calls" instead. I was banned from using the phone for a week.
Yeah, parents just don't understand.
a collection of awesome memories. Excellent finds Paul. have a Terrific Thursday
Thank you!
Awesome! I've been dying to see a new thrift store haul vid, they're my favorite.
Thanks Kassie! This took a lot of time and energy to make so I'm glad you liked it!
Ooooh nothing is better than VHS tapes with stuff taped off the TV!
I agree! Except for all these ones from the 2000's I was given last year...I'm just getting rid of those!
Great video. I had the two Peanuts books when I was a kid. They were awesome hand-me-downs from my older cousin.
Cool, I just bought another Peanuts book today. I had a big box of them as a kid and I got rid of them. Now I have to buy them all over again!
I like your hair! Lol
Thanks Gilbert! It was voted the best hair in all of the city where I live! ruclips.net/video/tG7bwn3i6b8/видео.html
fantastic haul there Paul, the one thing with the most nostalgia overload for me is your fisher price plane I had hours of fun with one of those when I was about three. what a lovely thing to find. 😊
My childhood was full of playing with Fisher Price. The airport, the garage, the houses, the boat, the village. Now I am collecting them all again.
My parents bought a Rich Little answering machine message tape in the early 80s. They didn't use it, so they gave it to me. I wish I still had it!
That sounds AMAZING
I love these videos Paul you always get neat stuff from the thrift stores.
Thank you Allan!
Love the sound effect of the golfer
That lawyer brought the heat with his letter. It deserves a "Supa Hot Fire" treatment.
haha, yes
Nice haul weird Paul ! Love me some thrift shops especially here in Tokyo.
Wow! I can't imagine what you find there!
Tons of toys , electronics, games and other various things from the early 80's and beyond .
Love these haul videos Paul, great video. I had that plane and the ninja turtles movie cards as a kid!
Thanks! This one came kind of late because it took forever to make. That just means that the May one will be coming sooner!
I like the pace of your video... It keeps me interested till the end :-)
Thank you James, that is a great compliment!
WOW!!! Maybe you should consider laminating that Hill's bookmark... it's DREAMY! Our shops never have home recorded VHS and they are the BEST!
I love finding ANYTHING Hills related! Most thrift stores do not sell home recorded VHS. When I find them, it's always a chance you take of whether it's what you think will be on there or if it was recorded over!
Morris day & kraftwerk! At the time no one shared the same interests as myself growing up. It's good to know that there where others out there that where into the same exact things I was!
We were all spread out around the country...no way to get in touch back then...the world's a lot smaller now!
That Fisher Price plane rocks!
When I saw it, something inside me said, MINE!
thank-you for bringing back good memories :)
Glad you liked it, Max!
Wish I could watch those HBO tapes! Awesome finds Paul!
Thanks Jennifer! I've only had a chance to check a little bit of them out, but I've already uploaded some of the promos on my other channel: ruclips.net/channel/UCfm2a3Ak9cwLw-VlwXJSLSw
🤗🤗🤗
Everything you show us is always very interesting. Keep it up! :)
Thanks, you know I appreciate it!
Weird Paul, trust me when I say.........you rock! keep on keeping on. I'm subscribing.
Thanks man!
That Chewy costume looked ever so reminiscent to the red mop creature in the "Don't touch me I'm scared" RUclips series. I couldn't help but chuckle at the letters as you read them. Those retro VHS tapes were a good find too. A lot of great Music finds too. This week I found (but didn't purchase) hundreds and hundreds of Operation Desert Storm trading cards. Those kind of trading cards just wouldn't fly now. lol. Wish I could find some Batman or TMNT cards at my thrift store. I also found some late 80's TMNT figures. Pretty rad actually since I had a ton of those as a kid. There was also like 15 bags of Marvel Comics Heroclix there too. I had that plane as a kid. I crayoned all over it haha!
I still cannot believe that those Desert Storm cards exist! I saw a guy in the thrift store with a whole unopened case of them in his cart. I was just a little too late that day! I still have things that my sisters crayoned all over!
Good mixed haul, Paul. Some great music finds! I wonder how many mums were searching for their mop heads and couldn't find them because of all the mini chewbacca's that were playing outside? lol!
haha, yes! I couldn't believe that photo, I was like whuuuuuut
Awesome stuff! Congratulations Paul!
Thanks Nicholas! It was a great month!
You always find the cool pins!
I seem to have a knack!
I love how WP. hasn't let the times change who he is....
Me and my nana always go to the thriftstore by her house at the end of the month -that's when they have sales- and I honestly find it a cheap alternative for hot topic
Yeah when they do the sales that is the best time to get stuff. Sometimes I keep and eye on things and go get them when they get discounted.
that answering machine cassette is amazing :-D
It's a classic that I am glad I finally own!
I had that exact same car vacuum that my grandmother bought my grandfather in the 80s I think. It could have been bought before that because she would buy Christmas presents years before she gave them out. I got so many Christmas presents as a kid that I couldn't get the counterparts for because they weren't being made anymore.
I guess not really lots of presents but for 5 years in a row I got presents that were from the 70s that I got in the 80s and my favourite was the Lone Ranger and tonto but I wanted the rest of the set that was shown on the box and found out you couldn't buy them anymore.
It was EXTREMELY NEW.
That's pretty cool though that she would give out vintage presents!
ORIGINAL VLOGGER 80'S WEIRD PAUL lol
ORIGINAL VLOGGER 80'S WEIRD PAUL yeah I always got the best presents from her.
Great finds he reminds me of the rowbot from the orginal Power Rangers!!!!
Love the vids Weird Paul got loads of cool stuff
Thanks Wesley!
I like old stuff
You are watching the right channel then!
Great finds as usual this month. I used to have one of those "Back to Mono" pins (mine was from a Phil Spector box set), but I stuck it on a ballcap and it faded in the sun over time until it was unrecognizable. Ah, well. I actually do think some records sound better in mono than stereo. I never thought I'd feel that way until I heard The Beatles in mono. It depends on the album, I guess.
That Bo Diddley 2-in-1 album is a great CD. (And definitely monophonic.) Of the songs I didn't already know, my favorite find on it was a track called "Diddley Daddy." It reminds me of when I lived in Joliet, IL and there was a great used CD/DVD store not far from my apartment. I miss those days...
Thanks Joe. The pin did come from the Phil Spector box set. I didn't get that, though.
I really enjoyed that Bo Diddley CD (I have only listened to the single CDs so far...still have all the doubles and box sets lined up. Tons of cheap entertainment!!)
I always within 2-3 dollars before you announce your total....so proud of that..
You're good, Ed!
Oh man, so many great things this time. Love the Autobahn and Take Off 45s. Definitely welcome departures from the usual selection of like a thousand Mantovani records my thrift stores seem to have. Also that Rapper's Delight expy of an answering machine message is probably one of the strangest things I've heard lately.
and yeah, Bubble Bobble is definitely a great game. you should check out the sequels and some of the Puzzle Bobble games too. Bubble Symphony is fun.
I was really excited to find that Autobahn record. I think I almost dropped it, I was so excited.
Ha i have that same Gap Band record. Got it almost as cheap as you did (It was pretty good). And i have most of the songs from your 45's one way or another. Take Off is Geddy Lee's highest charting song. lol
The Gap Band V is the only one I haven't listened to yet. I never thought of that, but you're right. I wonder how Geddy feels about that lol
What a coincidence. I also got a copy of Bikini Beach on VHS in April.
Wow, what are the chances!
awesome this rocks this show so cool and epic!!!!!
Thanks! New thrift haul going up tomorrow night!
awesome!!!!
Wait for the beep!
Brian Snoderly
HAHAHA yea yeah haha haha
You must have some awesome thrift stores in your area Paul!
I really do!
Oh man, I vividly remember 'The Rap' and 'Beethoven's Fifth' from the t.v. commercial! Of course it's on RUclips: ruclips.net/video/DA9Rfrj74Rg/видео.html .
Yep, the first thing I did after listening to that tape was to look it up on RUclips!
Super, now i see hockey cards. :-)
Paul. Actually. Mario Lemieaux card. I'm sure it will be an older date than the 1990s, the twentieth century. Cards from the 80's are already valued among the collectors, and certainly even cards. Only your Maria Lemieux cards, if they are older than the 1990s, may have a fairly good price.
Those Lemieux cards are from 1992. They are not worth anything.
But I have not seen them yet. At least it seems to be less accessible cards. Philatelic terminology. What is less seen, it is not the ordinary marker that each order collector has, the probability of scarcity is greater. I understand, however, that in the case of hockey cards, this indicative let's say a price estimate, it is not used.
Hi Paul love you videos. Keep them up.
Thank you very much!
Oh, I have that Mission Impossible cassette. It was some weird contest that if you got a tape with a certain message on it you won. Mine was blank or just had a brief non-winner recording (I forget). Good quality Scotch tape though.
1:16 SWIT-PLOP. Don Martin - The best sound effects comics man in the business
what a steal! Is the Del Monti can a magnet? Cause I have some magnets that look just like it.
It's not a magnet, just some "play food". It would make a cool magnet, though.
ORIGINAL VLOGGER 80'S WEIRD PAUL ok
I have to wonder what types of thrift store do you fine these gems in? All we have where I live is Goodwill and Salvation Army and the prices are through the roof! It would take me a year of making the rounds to come up with a fraction of the find you score in a month! Love these vids! Ah the memories!
Prices at most of the thrift stores have been going steadily up to where I can't pay them anymore. I have been lucky to find a couple good stores and I just stick with them.
I had 7 or 8 of the talking baseball cards. It was kinda cool but they were only 2/3 min length.
That's interesting. I've never heard one being played.
OMGi had a identical fisher price plane in my house
My mom had the crazy calls tape when it was released.
So she did really use it for the answering machine?
No. She just played it for laughs.
She also had answering machine tapes of Rich Little doing impressions and a bunch of others like that.
Man, Rich Little! I need to hear that!
Love the Video Jukebox score. I really wish I kept my recordings of that weird late night Lorenzo Lamas lingerie dance show, Dancin' To The Hits.
Amazing as always, Paul. The Louisiana license plate is cool. Grand Masters of Wrestling, from what I've heard, isn't that good, but it has a bunch of wrestling legends in it. Those Looney Tunes cards are Comic Ball cards that merged baseball with Looney Tunes, it was very big back in the 80s, and those mini football players are Teenymates.
Ah, thanks so much...I was hoping someone would tell me what those football players were!
at this one store they had boxes filled with HBO and cinimax recordings for 1 penny each
I would have bought them all.
wow a chucke cheese token!!
I want to collect one from every year it was open!
This stamp is from Russia. (Russia empire, befor USSR.) I think.
Ah!
They are common, but better pieces will also be found. I recommend overprints on Russian stamps. Jerusalem, Rize, Jaffa, Constantinople, mt. Thassos, etc. In the case of overprints, of course, it is not Russia but other stamp countries. Do you know it.
Cool video , where do you put all the stuff you bring home? I would be running out of room.
Some goes in my closets, some on shelves, some in my video/game room, some in my archives room, some in my basement...
That is a lot of 80's goodness!
Good video, as usual 😁
Thanks Ruth!
Are you going to publish the VHS cassettes from the T.S haul.???? Please do..
flashback with all them stickers. the items must've placed them on.
Omg I rember and hand the Fisher price 1979 air port my late great Grandma judy bought it for me on eBay back on may 29th 2009 . for a wopping 44 dollars and it was all mint in the box .
Wow, very cool - not easy to find in that condition!
Weird Paul hehe thanks for replying
Have you ever thought of doing a video on your top 10 movie novels you read the most growing up ?
I am not sure I even read 10! The only ones I remember reading right now were The Cannonball Run, Paternity (which I don't have any more), ET and Halloween II but I don't think I finished that one.
1:33 I believe that stamp is Russian, as it reads 3 rubles and 50 kopeeks which is their currency. Also, that is apparently their coat of arms from around 1993 on. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coat_of_arms_of_Russia
Excellence
I'm buying that shampoo.
Let me know what happens
this guy sounds like the narrator in the I spy computer games saying the items you have to find
Do I sound like his voice? Or do you mean just that he's also rattling off a list
1:33 I think that stamp is from Russia judging by the coat of arms
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coat_of_arms_of_Russia
Oh, that's cool - thanks!
No Problem 🇷🇺
Where do you find all these cool things??? People's pictures, letters, reports????
At the thrift stores here!
Weird Paul none of our thrift stores sell those goodies!!!!! I wish they did! I'm on hunt for garbege pail kid stickers. You have any (videos)?? On them?
I never really had those growing up, because my sisters collected them. I gave them those if I got any. I found a bunch at the thrift store recently...it was in one of my thrift videos a few months ago I think. I also got a bunch in the mail and I'll be showing some of those next week!
Weird Paul yay!!! I can't wait to see them! I have a binder of them but I'd like to find more original ones (80's). I have other series but Im on hunt for original series!!!
Those are really hard to find! I get excited if I just find one or two, even!
Do you go to the Red White and Blue Thrift store or Goodwill store on Saw Mil Run Blvd? I have driven by them. I never find cool things like you do at my goodwill store.
I go to Red White and Blue sometimes. Their prices are usually pretty high for what I can afford though, so I don't buy much there. Going back 15 years ago, I'd find stuff at that Goodwill all the time - that's where I got my Odyssey2 for $5.00. But I don't shop at the regular Goodwill stores anymore. There's nothing good or affordable there now.
I like me some del monte fruit cocktail.
Ate a lot of that growing up. Not many cherries in it.
ORIGINAL VLOGGER 80'S WEIRD PAUL haha absolutely. I was thinking about that mini del Monte food magnet (I think?) that you bought; it is a nice find.
oh, one question if you don't mind..........have you met Mole Man Ron or been to his house/tunnel complex? I'm pretty sure he lives in the Pittsburgh area. ....just wondering......thanx.
Mole Man Ron? I have never heard of him.
I have some pics of people I don't know I'm going send you eventually with a few odd things. I have that golfer. Added a hook and became a X-MAS ornament. Scopitones! Hot Daa..... I have 200+ 45s via ebay. What did I do?
You did the right thing.
Yeah, for the price I paid. I think-I-did.
That plane wasn't really flying I seen your hand!!
Another great vid .
Have you watched any classic Doctor who yet ?
Yes. My girlfriend watches it every once in awhile so I usually check it out when she has it on.
can you do a vintage Disney toy thrift haul
No because I buy very few Disney toys. I could do a video of my Disney toy collection though.
You should do a version of take off with you doing your Ernie impression and then you regular voice .
That would be amusing, I am quite sure.
Was the golfer bit at 1:40 a reference to gorillaz ?
I really enjoyed this video, how long have you been doing youtube for?!
I've been doing RUclips since 2010. But I've been making videos since 1984.
The Stamp is Russian, in case no one else told you.
You made one small error Paul, it's actually "Dappey Dope"
I'm lucky that's the only error I made this month!
ORIGINAL VLOGGER 80'S WEIRD PAUL Lol I hear ya!
It's night for me is it for you weirdpaul?
yes it is, it is now 1:10 AM and I have to get to bed because I have to be at work earlier than usual tomorrow.
HAHAHA Yea Yeah Haha haha
You should get a new guitar soon!
It would have to be only a few dollars, otherwise I can't afford it
where the hell do you put everything buy!?!?!
ruclips.net/video/o2YTgXpd9kU/видео.html
Do you really like kraftwerk?
Yes
How the heck are these items so cheap?!!
I just pay what they ask. If they weren't this cheap, I could not buy them.
Not first.
1:58 How the hell do you know that?
Because we had them when I was a kid: ruclips.net/video/wnZducxRAfs/видео.html
hey wired Paul
Yo, I'm totally wired tonight
are you my long lost best friend???
