Cass Scenic Railroad: A Parade of Steam

- On Saturday, June 20, 2020, the Cass Scenic Railroad, along with Walter Scriptunas II, held a "Parade of Steam" in celebration of West Virginia Day, and a way to welcome everyone back to the Cass Scenic Railroad before their first passenger train on July 4th.
On this day, we are able to see five of their operational geared steam locomotives with Shays 2, 4, 5, and 11, along with recently restored Climax 9 doing the honors.
This was a great event and I am extremely happy and fortunate to be able to attend.

I love Shay steam locomotives. Cass Scenic Railroad has a great way of operating these locomotives along with their Climax No. 9 that they restored back in operation since 2019. I am going to be visiting Texas this summer of 2020. And also these two railroad places. The Texas State Railroad in Rusk and Palestine, Texas for July 3rd 2020. And the Museum of the American Railroad in Frisco, Texas for July 5th 2020.

@@brendanstrains9725 Thank you! I don't know when Heisler 6 is coming back, but I'm pretty sure it'll happened once Climax 3 is done. WM 6 will be running this year I believe.
@@MPT_Productions I wish more geared engines would run on other tourist railroads more often. Cass is probably the only railroad in America besides roaring camp that run geared locomotives all the time. MT Rainer had some geared engines they even had the only operating willamette. But sadly they closed. Some of my relatives were loggers. One cooked for them and the other one was a logger.
@@MPT_Productions when hiesler 6 comes back they would have all three types of geared steam locomotives running that would be an amazing sight.
