Way back in the late '70s and early '80s, CBS used to present yearly "Circus of the Stars" specials, where stars (and supporting players) of their series- as well as those of other networks, and various celebrities- appeared as "ringmasters", or to perform circus stunts not generally associated with them. This is one example. If you ask Brooke about this today, she'd probably say, "Well, it wasn't easy".
I don't know if Linda Blair injured her feet..walking on all of those pieces of broken glass? But..I do know that Ms.Shields injured her foot on that sharp stuff.
Brooke has always had problems with her feet, she has been on crutches & is in constant pain after surgey loads of times in recent years. I dont know if it started with this but I dont think it helped.
One of the most beautiful women that has ever lived
I remember this strange debacle well. This clip ended before the tears started falling.
Brooke is so polte, so nice and still wonderfuly beautiful
i remember watching this as a kid
What year was this? I distinctly remember watching this as a kid - it stood out in my memory because the circus stunt was so strange and unique.

Positively ridiculous!!

I love that clip from Circus of the Stars when Brooke Shields is walking barefoot on the glass because she didn't cut her feet on the glass!

Does anyone know exactly when this was broadcast?
Did she cut her foot doing this?
Yes, you can even see blood on her foot at 0:58...
She cut her foot!
As I remember it, it caused a small cut on her toe and a small amount of blood came out. Not a serious injury.
I think it was 1983, or when she was around 18.
Did this air in 1980 or 1981?
Because who needs intact nerves and tendons when you can risk slicing them up?
Um. . . I was joking (and being rather sarcastic). I assumed everyone understood that. And no, Brooke Shields is very much alive and well.
Ha ha...and the contestants on Dancing With the Stars think they have it bad...
noone got a better copy?
Nope, she never recovered, and died soon after. But at least we all got a cheap laugh out of it!
Uhm
SHE HAS MAN FEET!!
