I love that she actually gives honest feedback, and it's really entertaining to see people actually enjoy meals and not be forced to enjoy meals because of the fear of offending a group of people, we have different taste buds so it's understandable when other people don't like other people's "paboritos", but yeah, it's enjoyable when Jessica enjoys the food, and like what she said, finding good food is a journey.
Hehehehe❤💖💕🥰😍🥰😍
Following Paborito episodes, I think this ep is kinda quick and might consider to visit it again hopefully when the weather is kinda gloomy so u and ur team can enjoy the place and ask around. I was toured by my partner just last year and we went to her favortie and well known food places if u are from UPLB and some places are like a student meal. Similar to the episode u made in UST, there’s also a siomai called ‘Papu’s Siomai’ just a little walk when u passed the small Micah’s store. Then there’s also Tita Dhel’s Elbi Proben. It’s a street food where they have filipino street foods like, fried isaw and ofc their famous Proben. It’s also a little walk/ block after seoul kitchen. We did try Seoul Kitchen too and Agree on the part, i will also come by because it has AC, but food is good. There are a lot of good food places that I haven’t tried yet and definitely I will have to go back!
Parang mga 'di taga UPLB Kung mag-recommend huhu I feel bad na 'di ni ate na-try ang... 1. Tita Dhels Proven 2. Phuong Vietnamese resto 3. Carabaos milk Milkacrem or DTRI choco milk 4. Buko Pie 5. Joe's Inasal 6. chubby habbis 8. mernel's cake Etc...
Being a UPLB alumnus, this makes me feel proud... 🥰 Seriously though, Elbi has so many food joints to choose from, and yes, some of my favorites were featured! 🥳 And yeah, just like you said, you should come back to Elbi since there are lots of choices such as the restos that serve sisig (e.g. Selina's), the aforementioned Spice Jar for Mexican food, and yes, even the carabao milk inside the UPLB campus (located near Baker Hall).
As someone from UPLB, those places that the students recommended are the gentrified ones and not the affordable or OG places. You should have tried places along Raymundo gate (Trese Syete's sisig, Cadapan's monggo, Tita Dhel's proben) and along FO Santos street (Batcave's lechon kawali, Janges' chicken strips steak, Phuoung's Pho bo; Seoul Kitchen is also in FO Santos). Then if you're looking for fresh milk, you could buy at DTRI (cow milk) or Milka Krem (carabao milk) inside the campus.
I’ve been following you for years now, and I can’t believe you visited my alma mater! You should have visited during the Feb fair! Also, there’s a lot of food that you missed out if you ask us alumni. Tita Dhel’s proven and Cadapan’s chicken are the favorites of alumni. Vat cave’s lechon kawali and Papu’s siomai. and most importantly, DTRI’s dairy products like choco milk, kesong puti, and yogurt. You should also try Micah’s baked macaroni and glazed donuts.
Im from Los Baños. I would definitely let you try the Letty's buko pie.since that's oneof the signature food there. Mernel's chocolate cake and the PROVEN which is a fried chicken proventriculus. Oh how i miss them. and another is the fresh milk and pastillas made by DTRI.
I think they should rephrase some questions when they go to a university area. Those kids will always recommend the cheapest ones with the best ambiance for them, whereas the good food places that may not look good or are expensive may not get recommended. She could ask next time, "What restaurant would you recommend here if somebody treated you to a reall good meal?" I'm asking you, too.
Sad there are no restos in UPLB offering fresh milk based food. UPLB not investing in "laboratory/restos" in UPLB specializing in products made from farms/forests (think Hokkaido milk concoctions but other than yema)?
I knew a day would come where people will tell her to categorize the food variants for each episode and I feel like it’s going to be like BuzzFeed’s Worth It (minus the price range, but definitely a factor which will be considered). I still appreciate your honest feedback and your effort to ask locals instead of searching online-that makes this series different. 😊💕
Seoul Kitchen is a local favorite and is owned by a Korean x Filipino couple afaik! They bake the croissants here in LB, but maybe they don't bake everyday na, thus the quality. Balik ka on a weekend or on a Thursday night for the night life. 😁
I love your videos jessica and you're probably my favorite content creator right now :) Just a suggestion, it might be good to ask for the paboritong delicacies when going to some of the provinces. For example, elbi is known for buko pie and carabao's milk, but they are not necessarily available in restaurtants. Looking forward to more of your videos! ❤️❤️❤️
So disappointing how the students couldn't give a better reco. So many good restos in elbi, I swear! They got Seoul Kitchen, right, though. It's one of my faves! You can't go wrong with the OGs though! Chubby Habbi's, Bonitos, Auntie Pearls, Selinas (sinigang rice ftw), Spice Jar, Phuong, Micahs, Wildbreads is good too. And sooo much more 💛
OMG!! Big Belly's ang go-to ko kapag di ako nakapaglunch dahil sa sunod-sunod na class sched nung undergrad pa ako sa elbi HAHAHHA It was cheaper before as well, and may veggies na side dish instead of noodles
the carabao milk that you were looking for is not really a 'food/restaurant' place that students regularly go to in between classes. it's more of a factory/production place that elementary or high school students might go to as a 'field trip' of some sorts, so it's more of a 'food production' than 'food trip' kind of place so that's why it might not be the first thing to come to mind when asked for a food place.
You were already across the best resto Elbi, IMO, can offer, and that is Bonito's. It's the resto across that place where you interviewed the Stat and Nutrition students who recommended you Spice Jar. Maybe because it's not trendy for students, or when I was still just a student, I cannot afford it so might be the same for the current ones, that's why it was not recommended.
Nag review ako sa elbi last year for boards and it feels like home. Ang babait ng mga isko and ang conducive ng environment to study. Naglalakad kami ng mga ka klase ko pauwi from vega tapos nadaanan namin ang isang bakery (Micha's dessert) tapos it was love at first bite hahahaha sarap ng pastries! I hope makabalik ako soon sa elbi!
Was a student there from 2008-2014. I have a very low budget so I ate in places like Sulyaw, YMCA, Ellen's and Cadapan's. I have eaten in Big Belly's when I have allowance, and in some places in LB Square. I haven't been back in ages but I remember EatSumo, Boston Cafe, Spice Jar, Bonito's, and Vat/Bat Cave. Maybe time for a homecoming.
You're a food vlogger now 👏 I love my country, Philippines 🇵🇭 I love the kind of life we have there no matter if you're poor, it's just that the feeling is so different! The Philippines is a happy place to live. it's more fun! ❤️
As a native of UP Los Baños, I strongly recommend Vatcave eatery for their student friendly lechon kawali and Auntie Pearl’s Pizza for authentic Italian brick oven pizza that rivals Manila’s commercial pizzas and flame grilled burgers!
Wow! You're in my hometown. If I only knew you're coming I would have tagged along with you. Haha! I am a Los Banos native and not someone who is from another town and just works or studies in LB. I definitely know what to recommend to visitors/tourists. Just the UPLB campus you have many cool places where you can eat or maybe to chillout and enjoy nature. Thanks for visiting my town and I hope that will not be the last time. More power to you!
Hi Jessica. I am from Bacolod but here in Cebu right now because of work. Hope you can go back to bacolod and do Paborito episode. There's a lot of food choices in Bacolod right now. ❤
hi jess, im a viewer form makati city! i really enjoy watching your videos, right now im eating mcdonalds while watching your vlog lol. thank you for this informative video!
From watching all of Jessica's videos, narerecognize ko na when she's really truly surprised or enjoying the food VS when she's being polite in not being impressed with the food hehehe! I really enjoy her videos because of her authenticity.

Hi Jessica. Im a huge fan.. You should try Mandaluyong City. There's a lot of good food there. And btw you should include the question "sa loob or labas ng mandaluyong?" to the locals and mostly (Hope so) would answer sa labas 😅 You'll learn for sure why people always ask people who lives in Mandaluyong if nakatira ba sila sa loob or sa labas.. Hope you notice me.. Thumbs up to you and your staff.. Ingat....
Jessica you are so cute and i feel hungry every time I see you eating... you are always explaining clearly everything... iba ka talaga... Thats why you are my fave....🥰❤❤❤
I always visit UPLB every other week. Love the carinderias there, Tamarind Juice from Barwash (a car wash of all places) and Vrajaya's vegetarian food.
OMG I remember my college days! You should've gone to Spice Jar! Also in Selina's, Bonito's and sa mga kainan around Raymundo gate. Meron din dyan yung The Originals Buko Pie na suuuuper sarap! I'm glad Big Bellys got upgraded na haha I miss Elbi 😭
AAAAAAAA, sayang di po kita naabutan, student of UPLB campus and there are lots of places with good drinks and dessert :(( Like the one walking towards Seoul Kitchen, Milk Fridge huhuhu good milktea place. Around Raymundo Gate, there are lotsa places. If you want I can tour you huhu
Jess!! Nandito ka pala sa amin!! I'm working at the school at your back (while saying WALA) 😅😂 IF Ever you'll be back. Try SPICE JAR ah.. Tapos, your crew is correct...categorize.. Hehe. Thank you for visiting eLBi. Alam Kong Di ka mahilig sa matamis pero hope you tried our buko pie and mernel's cake. ... Tsaka nakabili ba kayo ng milk products sa MilkaKrem? Hahaa... Balik na lang kayo. 😁
This is the first time i watched you that you haven't picked your paborito. While PUP Sta. Mesa you kinda hard in picking of your paborito because you liked it all.
You have not gone to raymundo gate yet where there’s a lot of food stalls and resto. I hope you have gone to DTRI where fresh milk are being produced and other dairy products as well. Likewise I hope you visited International Rice Research Institute
Please try going East naman. ANTIPOLO! I've been here 28 years now. Born and raised! These are what I would recommend: (in no particular order) Tamerlane's (Filipino) SaWrap sa Taktak (Mexican) Raqui's Takoyaki (Japanese) Resto sa Kanto (Filipino) Maura's Place (Mix of Filipino, Italian, and American)
Wooooah! Jessica! I always wonder if you can visit Laguna and try the UP Elbi foods! Nakakakilig! Sayang! Hindi kita nakita. 😢 Next time try the proben in Raymundo gate. Their vinegar is sooo good! and Eat Sumo. I hope you can also visit the freedom park and walk around the campus. 🥰
Please come here in Baguio!!! I am sure that you and your team would love it here.❤ I wish you guys all the best and more power! May God bless you all.🙏💖
Jessica, I hope you get to visit Pampanga. It’s now not only the culinary capital of the Philippines but also the “cafe” capital 😂 For a foodie like you, it’s a must. Food coma is real 🐷
They also have Big Bellys in Cybergate Tower 3 in Mandaluyong before pandemic and my go to order was crispy liempo with teriyaki sauce. They don't have pansit as a side there but vegies as toppings on the rice which I really like since it balanced the heavy meal plus the red iced tea. I'm not a fan of cheese on rice as well that's why I always choose teriyaki sauce for my liempo.
its nice to see you here in laguna. thanks for visiting our area... were happy that your trying to look for the paborito food places not only in the manila area but also to other far places...keep it up....kudos...❤❤❤❤❤
Why am I only seeing this now? Lol. The thing about LB is that when we say it's good, it means it's good for the price. Remember that it's meant to cater to students and residents and the goal is to get the people to come back as often as possible. It's not awful but I will say it's very decent for the price or the lack of competition.
The food and drinks there are catered to mostly to students that’s why the prices matched the quality. They dont have the best best best food there. It’s good but ok lang but super affordable and nice vibes. That’s the Elbi charm.
I agree na wala talaga nagsstand out na foods here in elbi in terms of quality. But we all revisit those places because of nostalgia and memories. You gonna visit Elbi talaga for the place (campus) and the people (community), average-above average lang talaga everything here eme.
Agree na the place (mostly sa UPLB campus) ang nag-standout and not really the food. But if talagang pipili sa food ay our Buko Pie stands out in terms of a specific kind of food. Lety's ako kasi LB native ako. haha! Maybe true for the food places or restos. Depende sa tao. May mura. May mahal kasi. Pero for me wala na talagang mapapa-wow ka. #justsaying #myopinion
You can try sa UP Diliman naman! Same vibes masaya maglakad kahit mainit. Since nakapunta ka na sa Maginhawa, try Area 2 naman o kaya sa mga kiosks :))
UPLB alumnus here, well, not rly because I graduated from UP Diliman bc I transferred. There are lots of Koreans staying in Los Baños actually! A lot of them go here either to settle or study, since UPLB is the center of veterinary medicine in the Philippines and is really cheap compared to some schools.
my favorite place to go most of the time ...LAGUNA !!!! clean ..nice peole..great foods ..fresh air..and they have a lot of different desserts to offer...nice vlog jessica by d way and always take care on all your food trips and of course all your trabaho in the country are awsome❤
I would say Spice Jar could have been a better option than Micha's. Don't get me wrong, I love Micha's too because I usually buy cream puffs there, but I would say Spice Jar is good. Danielito's is also good kaso ngl medyo nagsawa ako because kami nagsusupply ng some ingredients sa Danielito's, so minsan we get free food there haha.
I love that she actually gives honest feedback, and it's really entertaining to see people actually enjoy meals and not be forced to enjoy meals because of the fear of offending a group of people, we have different taste buds so it's understandable when other people don't like other people's "paboritos", but yeah, it's enjoyable when Jessica enjoys the food, and like what she said, finding good food is a journey.

it looks like all of jessica’s segments are a part of a tv show! kudos to her and her staffs.

Jessica, sa Province ka naman magshoot ng Paborito series. Sa Province ng BICOL or sa Province ng ILOCOS. hehehe
salamat sa new vlog 💖💕💖 love it🥰😍
are you bot??
@ALGAE hahahaha true
Dami syang time mg comment may sahod ata , Na ol 🤣
I always saw u at koreans vlogs 😂 aren't u tired commenting

milka kreme's gelato along with the carabao milk

I definitely like all of Jessica's series': especially seeing parts of the culture from her perspective
I;m just upset I wasn't there to lead Jessica to the right places in elbi :(
I think they should rephrase some questions when they go to a university area. Those kids will always recommend the cheapest ones with the best ambiance for them, whereas the good food places that may not look good or are expensive may not get recommended. UPLB is the biggest state university in land area. Second is Central Luzon State University. Silliman on 3rd and UP Diliman on 4th Place.
yes sirrr UPLN reprezent!
Seoul Kitchen is a local favorite and is owned by a Korean x Filipino couple afaik! They bake the croissants here in LB, but maybe they don't bake everyday na, thus the quality.
Balik ka on a weekend or on a Thursday night for the night life. 😁
yea their croissants here are the best, even when compared to the other place that makes patisserie
I love your videos jessica and you're probably my favorite content creator right now :)
Just a suggestion, it might be good to ask for the paboritong delicacies when going to some of the provinces. For example, elbi is known for buko pie and carabao's milk, but they are not necessarily available in restaurtants.

Most likely freshmen and sophomores, not much experience there
OMG!!
Big Belly's ang go-to ko kapag di ako nakapaglunch dahil sa sunod-sunod na class sched nung undergrad pa ako sa elbi HAHAHHA
It was cheaper before as well, and may veggies na side dish instead of noodles
ang mssbe ko lang di na sya kasing sarap 3yrs ago.
For almost all young Filipinos, including college students, RICE IS LIFE! 🤣🤣🤣
the carabao milk that you were looking for is not really a 'food/restaurant' place that students regularly go to in between classes. it's more of a factory/production place that elementary or high school students might go to as a 'field trip' of some sorts, so it's more of a 'food production' than 'food trip' kind of place so that's why it might not be the first thing to come to mind when asked for a food place.

try your luck again in UP. Take the UPCAT 2nd time
UPCAT can only be taken once
How is she never ran out of words? HAHAHAHAH! ILY JESSICA!
There is a lot of restos along Lopez Ave before UP gate. Thank you for featuring our lovely place.
should have tried the carabao chocolate milk. That's my favorite in UPLB. also silvannas.
Who needs Netflix when you have Jessica Lee🎉
True, carbs is life when you’re still young but NOT as you get older!! Carbs and sugar will be your biggest enemy!😮
Hi Jessica! You have to try Lucban, Quezon or any part of Quezon province. Maraming foods na homey vibes talaga.
Yeah she shouldn't ask students like first year there, because there are better restaurants in UPLB, I'm sad no one mentioned provenan 😢
Jessica is a dessert person. Your eyes glistened when an interviewee mentioned 'dessert'. Am i right Jess?
If you could a little further than Los Baños , Laguna, it's Lucban, Quezon's - Southern Luzon State University. Every corner of the streets is a 'go-to' place.
Food Reco:
#1 - Van & Hyla's - Pork Ribs and Fajitas
#2 - Buddy's - Pancit Lucban, Sisig and Langgonisang Lucban
#3 - Ground Zero - House of Pizza
#4 - Le Maison de Yelo Lane - steak and frappe
#5 - Kamayan sa Palaisdaan (resto with floating kubo - few km. away from school) - all Filipino food
18:50 this is true. because your taste may vary as you have tried different courses.. (from salty to sweet etc. ) bet she'll do it next time..
Damn your super CUTE Jessica Lee 😍😊❤️💕

I really like this segment "Paborito" I always wait for this! Please feature more in the south vibes ❤❤❤
I know right
OMG I remember my college days! You should've gone to Spice Jar! Also in Selina's, Bonito's and sa mga kainan around Raymundo gate. Meron din dyan yung The Originals Buko Pie na suuuuper sarap! I'm glad Big Bellys got upgraded na haha I miss Elbi 😭
But the food in big belly's got downgraded
Since you are in Laguna, you should definitely go to Pagsanjan Laguna. The best ang mga resto, tabi tabi na rin sila dun :D
I knew someone is gonna recommend Mica's. All of their pastries are so good 🤤🤤🤤
AAAAAAAA, sayang di po kita naabutan, student of UPLB campus and there are lots of places with good drinks and dessert :(( Like the one walking towards Seoul Kitchen, Milk Fridge huhuhu good milktea place.
Hahaa... This is the first time i watched you that you haven't picked your paborito. While PUP Sta. Mesa you kinda hard in picking of your paborito because you liked it all.
I love how Jessica features different kinds of dishes from all over the country. I want to know here she puts all those calories in, though. Haha
Thanks for featuring my alma mater😊
Please try to roam around within Imus Cavite next time. I would suggest near the Lumina/Nueno ave spot. They have hidden gems there pleaseeeee!!!
Can you try Paborito in Batangas? 😊
These are what I would recommend:
(in no particular order)
Tamerlane's (Filipino)
SaWrap sa Taktak (Mexican)
Raqui's Takoyaki (Japanese)
Resto sa Kanto (Filipino)
Maura's Place (Mix of Filipino, Italian, and American)
Wooooah! Jessica! I always wonder if you can visit Laguna and try the UP Elbi foods! Nakakakilig! Sayang! Hindi kita nakita. 😢
Next time try the proben in Raymundo gate. Their vinegar is sooo good! and Eat Sumo.
I hope you can also visit the freedom park and walk around the campus. 🥰
i'm from Bacolod Jessica! you should try Ribshack :D unlimited rice with your fave chicken oil hehe
Gustong gusto ko ang vlog ni Ms. Jessica lee... not a typical vlog... its like a Tv Show....
It's so fascinating to watch the exact current place I'm residing in, and studying at 😭 UPLB is such a dream, and I love this place so much
You should also try to visit Visayas State University in Baybay Leyte. It’s a scenic university actually 🙂
Trese Siyete’s sisig is literally the best sisig i’ve ever had and someone should’ve recommended it to you 😭
+1000 😭
Yahhhhh no one mentioned that too it's one of the best food in the LB, I'm disappointed to those students
Love this more than the trabaho series😊maybe because here she just eat and not doing hard work
Please come here in Baguio!!! I am sure that you and your team would love it here.❤ I wish you guys all the best and more power! May God bless you all.🙏💖
After finishing the entire video, I am grateful that you are able to show the best restaurants in UP Los Banyos. Good job Jessica! 👍
No this is not the best restaurants in LB, There's a lot more good restaurants here
Jessica, I hope you get to visit Pampanga. It’s now not only the culinary capital of the Philippines but also the “cafe” capital 😂 For a foodie like you, it’s a must. Food coma is real 🐷
She already went there
Wow😊❤
They also have Big Bellys in Cybergate Tower 3 in Mandaluyong before pandemic and my go to order was crispy liempo with teriyaki sauce. They don't have pansit as a side there but vegies as toppings on the rice which I really like since it balanced the heavy meal plus the red iced tea. I'm not a fan of cheese on rice as well that's why I always choose teriyaki sauce for my liempo.
Try Tita Del’s Proben, def only in UPLB😁
its nice to see you here in laguna. thanks for visiting our area... were happy that your trying to look for the paborito food places not only in the manila area but also to other far places...keep it up....kudos...❤❤❤❤❤
A suggestion, maybe do a minimum of 5 places for a better judgement? Though it can be harder, I guess. Lovely video as always, Jessica
I think the way you do is good. I like that it's all based on recommendations, no need to categorize. Just keep it casual :)
Sabi ko na uplb dun sa teaser last episode of barker
THE NATION OF BUKO PIE 🥧🇵🇭

This is comforting to watch since I am very much familiar with the places she visited here. ✨
U SHOULD VISIT SAN PABLO CITY LAGUNA
I love your honesty when it comes to your reviews! ganyan sana hindi yung masarap daw pero pag punta mo hindi paid promotion pala 😢😂
Ellen's Fried Chicken, Batcave, Selina's
