The man on the piano is her brother. And he is also wrote this song. Most of her songs are either written by him and performed by both of them with her as the "front man." Two extremely talented individuals with an amazing sibling relationship from what I hear.
This is a pretty old recording, after that she released her second album, won 10 Grammy's, an Oscar for Bond's song, and her voice has improved to the maximum
Billie is sick! She’s really genre bending imo. Some of her songs sound alternative, some are jazz style and some hip hop influence. Some of her greatest inspirations are Tyler the creator, Avril Lavigne and Frank Sinatra. Can you check male fantasy or NDA?
Billie started in her teens(13 /14) she just turned 20 a few months ago. Billies whole family is very artistic. Phineas is her brother who was playing the piano, vocals, and producer.
That is my favorite Billie Eilish song, it’s haunting! that’s the best way I can describe it. When she performed that with her brother at the Grammys it was one of the best performances I’ve seen in my opinion
Man. I’m in my 40’s and I’m a billie super fan. Saw her on her current tour in February. Front row. It was brilliant. Anyway..jump into her whole catalog, bud. Start with the ep ‘don’t smile at me’ and then the album ‘when we all fall asleep where do we go.” Then the most current album “happier than ever.” Also watch the documentary about her titled “the world’s a little blurry.” You just may become a super fan like me brother.
@@poloreacts27 you should probably listen to the EP, albums before watching the doc though..so you can hear the music first..and then see some of what went into making the music in the documentary
@@poloreacts27 and keep in mind..the “don’t smile at me” EP dropped a few months before Billie turned 15. So she recorded the music at the age of 14. Yes. 14.
Same, my daughter introduced me to her music. We just saw her in Vancouver last week. She's absolutely amazing, I think I'm a bigger fan than my daughter is.
I’m 53 and have commented on two of your other videos and then I saw this video title. I’m a HUGE fan of Billie and FINNEAS and this particular song is the one that makes my knees tremble every time. The official video really REALLY knocks the wind out of my sails. Billie, and FINNEAS, are wayyyy too gifted for their own good. IMO of course. Thank you for reacting to this amazing artist. 👊🏻
Nice reaction - The pianist is FINNEAS, her brother and he wrote this particular song. Billie and FINNEAS co-write almost everything and he produces all his sister's music. As you may know, Billie is up for an OSCAR this Sunday night (March 27) for her song [and FINNEAS's] "NO TIME TO DIE". If you would like to see that its, Billie Eilish "NO TIME TO DIE" Live at the Brit's, Feb 18, 2020 [Billie Eilish VEVO] - if you do happen to watch that FINNEAS is again the pianist and the great composer Hans Zimmer is conducting the orchestra [he wrote scores for such movies as DUNE - up for an Oscar Sunday night; 3 Batman movies; Pirates of the Caribbean; the Lion King and a host of others]. Billie is not known (at all) as a belter, but she does belt on the last note and - in my mind - it's beautiful! P.S. I'm 68 and hadn't been to a concert in 40+ yrs until March 15, 2022 in St. Paul, MN when I went to see Billie - and it was a moving, phenomenal experience.
Hans wrote 150 movie scores, yet he listened to Billie and Finneas's opinions about the score. See the interview at Variety from Feb. 22: ruclips.net/video/uA1NfdFVupE/видео.html
Nice reaction! The piano player is her brother, Finneas. They write and create all her music together. He is also a stand alone musician. She tours with her family and he plays in all her shows. She's an amazing artist. Please deep dive into her content. You won't be disappointed!
This was the first song I heard from her also. This video specifically. It gave full body goosebumps. Only thing way I can describe it as it's almost angelic
@4:34, Yes sir!! That's why she was snatched up with one song going viral on the internet, it's called Ocean Eyes and she was only 13 when her and her brother Finneas recorded it, he's the one you see with her there... he's her only producer !! She's amazing and I absolutely adore her just like a little sister to me! 💯🎶🎤🌟💕❤️💜🤙✌️ She also produces ALL of her own videos which are incredible too!!
Crazy that no one thought of leaning heavy into the breath and minute control, instead of going for power and fancy. But it's the geniuses that discover what should have been obvious to the world.
Billie is amazing she's very genre bending some of her songs are jazz style, alternative and some have hip hop influence she's 20 and her first song came out when she was 13 called Ocean eyes the guy playing piano is her older brother Finneas he produces her music and writes with her he has his own music as well she's also a 7 time Grammy winner
You will be surprized if you haven't heard yet but she sings about some trama she's had in her life....all the writing is done by her and her brother....I became a fan the first time I heard her and I'm a bit older so she reaches a lot of people😊❤
Your reactions were pretty much mine when i first listened to Billie "I wasn't expecting that" and "oh, wow" :P Her tone is so unique that it instantly grabs you. This was a great first songs to react too, one of my personal favorites of hers. I'd love to see you react to Billie Eilish - idontwannabeyouanymore | A COLORS SHOW next.
I'm glad you mentioned the COLORS SHOW option - you see how the music moves her and moves through her - it's beautiful - almost my favorite Billie song, a classic. Have you seen (I bet you have!) seen Teddy Swims cover of "idontwannabeyouanymore" - incredible!
Old adage never judge a book by its cover . I’m 61 years old and find her and her brother amazingly talented.. beautiful voice & harmony. I love your reactions… they’re refreshing in comparison to most
The official video for this song is a piece of art that Billie completely came up with, blocked and everything, when she was 15. She was pissed at the end of shooting and said "I'm directing all my videos from now on!" (This is from bts from the documentary about her on Apple TV.) I love seeing people watch her artsy videos for the first time. Another good one to check out for a reaction is the official video for Happier Than Ever.
On second thought, I agree with another comment, it would be best to go through her catalogue chronologically. Her live performances are great and her videos are great- You can't go wrong with Billie. I was going to list some of my favorites for reactions, but then I just made a playlist instead. I put all the videos I recommend, in order. Interviews and other stuff at the end. Hope this helps! ruclips.net/p/PLm-Xny8ze4rPGQ6lB4sgBEOY1LpR3VqGu
Happier Than Ever - amazing song and she directed the video (she has directed most of her videos). The song will surprise you- people say they have not heard another artist use the style Billie uses in this song. 'Your Power'- also terrific, video directed by Billie. And- the snake in the video is real.
First time I heard this song it was sang by LeAnn Rimes on The Masked Singer then I watched the music video and she, Billie, drank that black liquid and cried black tears. I had heard Bad Guy but after that video I became a fan
Old video so may go under the radar, but you said the piano player is dope - that's her brother Finneas, who does all the music and cowrites some of her stuff. He has his own song called Love Is Pain that is ridiculously good if you're looking for a related reaction!
One note about this performance - she apologized for not sounding that good because she had a cold/flu during the time of the show. The best way to describe Billie's genre is "it's Billie." She truly is a unique artist all in her own league. Considering that she started at age 13 - which is when she recorded Ocean Eyes - it's so exciting to see where she goes from here. You can already see how much she's grown in confidence and therefore her songs. You should check out her last video she's released - Male Fantasy. It's a haunting song told from a woman's perspective with true honesty.
Great reaction.. new sub here 🙌 My nephew got me interested in Billie Eilish and I've been a huge fan ever since. I just took him to see her live and we loved every second of it ❤ My favorite artist is Mariah Carey.. but Billie is second 🥰
It’s been a year and I’m super late, but I think you would really like a music video called “blow.” It’s from Andrew Reini and Sam. I’d really advise it and it’s a style that’s cool. Sam did and wrote everything including the instruments for “blow.” Please check it out :))
So I don’t know if you looked at this one or not but you should definitely react to Billie Eilish covering Michael Jackson’s song bad she changes it up and it is so good I am absolutely obsessed I love the original but I honestly love hers more and she was only 15 I believe at the time But she is incredible
It would be better to react to Billie Eilish along with her studio recordings and most importantly along with her official videos Because... well if you what the official video for this you will understand why I'm telling you this

I find her voice almost haunting... I've never heard anyone like her before either.
Not my typical genre, but I must say she got many killer songs. She's different.
Not mine either but I''m into it now

Amazing that she can sound like this first thing in the morning. Her voice is incredible and so unique.

billie eilish is one of the best artist out there in my opinion and i would recomend to listen to the original music videos
The piano player is Finneas, her brother, he has been with her from the beginning of her career.
She is amazing! Do a deep dive on her catalog. You won't regret it.

great reaction, subbing for further Billie Eilish reactions (and Harry Mack of course)

Hey bro you gotta hear Lewis Capaldis rendition of this song, it’s outstanding he sings it with so much passion and raw emotion
