if they had these kind of fire alarms in school, I probably wouldn't have been afraid of fire drills to begin with, this is probably the tamest or I should say 2 of the tamest alarms I've heard in quite some time... great video as always!
Just a thought: Since this system is in a garage, it might be a good idea to wire a CO detector into your system. Of course, it's your system so you do what you want with it! Great video as always. :)
Well actually it's a shed that he build and put in a Fire alarm system in it but the shed has garage doors that's why you see cars and other things that would be in a garage
Do you think thr xiaomi smart smoke detectors are worth buying?
They rely on a battery only, but they can be monitored thru an app on your phone.
I think they are using a different technology instead of photoelectric (wgich seeems to be the best) though.
don trump don’t trust those types of smokes. Only trust them if they are UL listed, or they are a good brand.

Can you do a system test with the lights off?
TrainSpotterSGM the camera can’t pick up strobe flashes that good for some reason but yeah he could try it you never know
My junior high school had a similar tone pattern for the siren, except for they accomplished it with a Siemens U-MMT.

Gentex should make a "siren" tone like regular winding up whoop and then the same whoop but winding down whoop
Do a System Sensor SCW, and a PC2W in the SER, and besides, ceiling mount alarms can be mounted on the wall, and wall mount alarms can be mounted on the ceiling!

You know, usually a Commander 3 actually has a slightly longer pause when you directly set it on T3.

On Halloween I was talking to my teacher and in the middle of our conversation the alarm went off I need to go outside before they go off and I was screaming and was on the ground we have wheelock led exceeders I was crying and it was due to fog and the smoke detector triggered
Agreed I used to be very sensitive to smoke alarms. Now I'm not but have you considered noise protective headphones? I have autism and that's what my therapist recommended for fire drills and they really worked! :) you can get them online pretty cheap or at walmart
One time at my school a smoke detector randomly went off and the alarm went off it is the edwards intergerty in march time

If you have a panel and code all alarms to temporal 3 then you can but if you don’t have a panel it’s just the normal continuous whoop I wish Gentex made a code 3 whoop tone

I don't recommend you using fire to test smoke detectors/heat detectors. For one, fixed heat detectors are only a one time use. For two, fire is really dangerous even in buildings.
He is a professional who knows what he is doing. He's doing tests in a controlled environment.
