Something to take note of on those panels is you should be able to just press 1 and it will silence. Only for fire alarms though, you have to enter the code to silence burglary alarms. Also that is a very clean setup, nice!
Glad to see another system on the channel! If you ever want to expand the system, I recommend using wireless sensors. Honeywell makes wireless receivers for the Vista systems. They also make keypads with built in wireless receivers like the 6160RF. The siren seen here is a Bosch D116. DSC rebranded it as the SD - 15W - ULF. Hope to see more soon!
That is loud. Lol The police tone is something I hear when exploring abandoned buildings and that is not even as loud as that one was. Love the videos 👍
Honeywell, owned by Residio. It’s changed hands a bunch of times. FBI even had them for a while. ADT also had a license to use their boards, they called their vistas “safe watch pro”.
What company did you work for if you don’t mind me asking? My dad used to work for dictograph in the 70’s putting the key switch red and white light 1 zone panels in. You know the ones that you’d have to zone out yourself on terminal strips so you could trace out opens later?
Dennis Aitken I’ve just never seen one of those installed like that in 20 years. That little $16 siren commands so much gravitas mounted that way. Usually in a commercial/workshop situation, you’d mount one of these, www.pottersignal.com/product/tool/8880143_SSX-52Series_installation.pdf
Nice! I have a 10SE I plan on getting set up on a demo board. I got a panel, WAVE2 and a 6150 for around 25 bucks at a restore outside a certain city... *Hint* ASC. (;
You can actually silence a fire alarm (siren and keypad) on the Vista system by just pressing the 1 key. But to clear it, you need to enter a code then 1.
You have a Fire and Burglar alarm set up. All you are missing is the security camera and access control. Let me know if you want to test some really cool equipment!
I think you should get the Vista Voice keypad. I keep telling the maintenance guys at my high school when our security system (honeywell) goes into full alarm they need to enter the code twice in order to fully reset the system.
Maybe you could add a wireless module to make adding sensors easier? (Or get a 6160RF keypad) You probably already know this, but the default programming code is 4112.
I have a honeywell vista 20p System In My House But I Have A Ademco 6150 And 6160rf keypad with A DSC Siren Which I Think Is That Siren, It's Not Monitored But I Really Recommend Those Sirens. And Of Course I Have The Panel.
I kind of like the code March Time it makes me feel like I love security systems and fiery terms I tell my mom what they are I know what they are fire alarms
2:05 I love that it sounds similar to the sibling. Thats actually awesome "Like hey your trying to sound like me, Keep trying and you'll get it".
You could wire the police portion to supervisory on the panel so that when security goes off it goes into supervisory
Something to take note of on those panels is you should be able to just press 1 and it will silence. Only for fire alarms though, you have to enter the code to silence burglary alarms. Also that is a very clean setup, nice!
Now it is REALLY the security experiment room!
Now you just need to add a siren in there
☝️
OK
+STM1_Sirens H***LLA AGREE!!!
Do A request system task with the voice evacuation system
I have the same unbranded siren in my house.
Great system as always Grant!

Wow you had a new system
I’m so glad this channel exists
Me too.

The security Alarm sounds kinda cool
Awesome! I mostly do fire alarm videos, but this is cool!
Nice a vista! You should mount that keypad on the wall! Cool another person is part of the security system people.

Yeah!, great system as always, grant! 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
That is loud. Lol The police tone is something I hear when exploring abandoned buildings and that is not even as loud as that one was. Love the videos 👍
FPL is not up to code on security systems. It’s only allowed to be used on the detectors and pulls on the system.
This is not meant to be code complaint, it’s a demonstration system.
If you do an addition to the system, you should add motion dectores and contact sensors on your doors/windows in the ser.
5:39 the white rectangular siren looks like a Aviss DS 01 but with french fire alarm (NF S 32-001 by AFNOR)
Who makes ADEMCO now?
Can't find the company now!
Back in the 1970s I used to do garage and house alarm systems. [Yeah! I'm old as heck!]

As a security and fire system installer, I find that emt piped up siren mounted on a double gang j box hilarious to behold.
Why is that? Just because it makes it so much easier for the thief to get into? LOL

when the fire alarms go off it sounds like a song lol
For a police panic you could also press * and # at the same time
Can u add a P2B in your system or an Gentex Commander,
Btw you can use the fire button for a Drill button or a Initiating device
This is a really awesome test! I really liked how you wired up the security keypad to the FACP to have them go off together!
This is awesome! Still missing the old s.e.r. Been watching since 2014

Should do one with red and blue lights. Call it a "Crime Alarm." Might be useful in San Francisco.
YAY
You have a Fire and Burglar alarm set up. All you are missing is the security camera and access control. Let me know if you want to test some really cool equipment!
Can u also put a Siemens Alert extender plate on the alarm. If you have another one?
That's pretty cool! Nice system Grant.
Also if you activate the police alert alarm I kind of like how it is kind of continuous

Awesome so the security alarm is part of the fire alarm so it will go off when the fire alarm goes off
I love it all!!!!! I think you should get a motion detector that would be cool
AWESOME!! I liked the video!
I think you should get the Vista Voice keypad. I keep telling the maintenance guys at my high school when our security system (honeywell) goes into full alarm they need to enter the code twice in order to fully reset the system.
The dcs alarm is less louder then the ADT siren that tweets very loudly
You should add a medical feature with the security system
Anyone notice how some advances have a slightly higher pitch and start their coding differently like in this video?
That one loud siren!
@Michael Wong Tell me about it.
Hey Grant! If I wired a horn strobe in place of the siren, would the security panel set off the horn strobe on code 3?
oooh very nice! you should add on a P.I.R (passive infrared)
Or 6160vpadt (it's adt's type 6160 with a proximity tag sensor built in.)
Wow fantastic video can’t wait to see more of these
I also like the sound of it
If you ever did a collection video, it would be long

1000000/1000000
Maybe you could add a wireless module to make adding sensors easier? (Or get a 6160RF keypad)
You probably already know this, but the default programming code is 4112.
Will the security system be disabled during the regular ser system tests?
Do they need battery on them
So that's what those alarms sound like.
Cool system
You should do something whith access control
PICKLE 700 SYSTEMS AND ELECTRIC has an access control system wired to his fire alarm system
1:25 that’s the siren i have in my house - kara

I have an ADT alarm like that and it does continuous
