This worked perfectly, thank you! Only thing I did differently was I set mine up to stay crouched on press with a flip flop so you have to press the button again to come out of it. I also had to make it work with my current stamina drain system so it didn't drain stamina if you hit the sprint key. Awesome stuff!
Do you know how he gets access to the walking and running States? It doesn't allow me to do that till I check off the boxes that he does for the two crouched animation
Great tutorial for understading principles of adding new animation. I made a specific idle, walk and fast walk animations for my character but when I add these animation into ABP_Manny, Character does not working properly. Especially the leg movements are not as they should be.

Its really hard to understand the anim graph interactions with event graph, so, Can you PLEASE make another tutorial where u add for example Sit on the ground or Prone using in anim graph ? i am trying to understand state system for Top Down view template. it feels totally different
I have a toggle for changing from FirstPerson to ThirdPerson views using "C". This all worked great, however, it doesn't crouch in FirstPerson. I added print strings, and it is being triggered still. Just can't work out what's happening

Hello! I don't have one right now, but you should try it out. As far as I can remember, this method of using the default crouch and uncrouch methods may have that functionality already. Not sure tho!

it was a decent tutorial until you just threw the concept of aliases there and didn’t really explain what it does or why you are checking each individual thing.
I just found that there is a check box in Character's Movement details, that is called "Can Walk Off Ledges when Crouching". If that's not too late, it might help you! :)

Use a flip flop in player bp attached pressed to to the flip flop a to crouch and b to uncrouch

Works but the movement from walk to crouch is not smooth in frames. Better apply the crouch move with an animation from.

Hello! I don't have one right now, but you should try it out. As far as I can remember, this method of using the default crouch and uncrouch methods may have that functionality already. Not sure tho!

It works fine for me without adding the "Loop" on the "WalkCrouch" animation. Not sure what would've happened there.

Double click on the crouchwalk animation you imported, in the asset details, search for loop and enable it

It was shown at the end of the video. Loop the animation in the AnimBP.
How did you get the movement compopnent @ 2:52? I can't seem to find it.
for me it's named "character movement" and I've put "as third person character" with a cast node to put in "target"

Make sure to search for Is Crouching from the Movement Component reference. It is a variable of that component.

Check out his anim notifies video. He does that for a roll animation but it works with crouch as well 👍🏻
