Bitcoin can't stand for all of digital payments, this is misleading at makes every body think that things like Apple Pay, android pay, ect. Are useless. Bitcoin is much more complicated than just a digital payment option but I look at it more as a risky investment.

Credit Cards where also not widely used at one time as well. Back in the 80 and 90's most transactions where cash or check. Bitcoin is relatively still considered new as its only been around truely since 2013. It was talked about in 2008. So yeah I think it will take off soon. Its still in its infancy stage but I have found even apartment complexes accepting them. Best part is that the government and banking institutions don't have control over it.

M-pesa and Airtel Money in Kenya. Succeeded where bit-coin is struggling. Only difference is that bit-coin is an entirely different currency.
Almost every cellphone holder has access to the aforementioned services here in Kenya, plus there are very many agents to facilitate transactions via the mobile platform. This makes it very accessible.

People barely know what Stocks actually are, they dont understand Dividends, Equity, how a Mortgage works, and if you said the words 'Passive Income' to them, you'd receive a blank stare in return, the People who do however know about these things and are financially literate tend to have high net worth and are rich.
