I was extremely lucky in late 2020 when I contacted my dream professor, from my dream university, and he replied within a few hours. I wrote a super long e-mail (unideal but life is like that sometimes xD) but I still got a reply... But then, in February, due to some unexpected issues that clashed with this Uni's deadline, I couldn't apply via University track. I'm going to contact him again soon about next year's application and this video really gave me some confidence to do that, as well as some good ideas. I hope I'm just as lucky once again ^^

I mentioned conferences, papers, and most importantly what I wanted to do next and why I thought he would be a good supervisor. It's good to look into this professor's work so that they'll understand exactly why you chose to contact them. But also please understand that I got lucky because 1. my email was LONG 2. he answered very fast. So it's not the standard experience... I've sent other e-mails that never got a response.

I got selected till the 2nd round in the gks(g) embassy track.. but all three universities rejected me despite my good grades, study plan and ps, lor, extracurricular activities, awards, internships, and social service activities etc, etc.. I left this one most important step. So to the future applicants, don't forget to contact the professor, in both the embassy track and university track, contacting the right professor who does the work that you're interested in at the right time and clearly letting them know what you really want to study or how much you know about them is the most important step in gks when it comes to university selections. I randomly applied to one major in a department ij each university and i didnt contact anybody, i got rejected, its you who should select the lab youre going to work in, so you should read the work done by all professors in the department you're interested in first.. i am heartbroken, i cried a lot, but that's not the answer, i will reapply stronger with topik too..

What should I mention like my abilities and skills and how much I am capable for the scholarship something like that. You have to submit a letter of recommendation from the professor your current university or college

The contacting professor is for STEM students right. I am from bussiness background so, even if I contacted professor. What should I mention like my abilities and skills and how much I am capable for the scholarship something like that.
