What a bummer, CJ! I think the saddest holiday I ever had was when I had just moved to Tennessee and I was working overnight with an Alzheimer’s patient. I had Christmas Eve with a family I didn’t know. Slept in a strange bed. So far from all of my loved ones. I cried and cried and felt as far away from love as I could possibly feel. Now I look back, how kind that those people let me sit in on their Christmas Eve. So, I pray safety over you and may you not feel alone. 🤗🤗
@Rebecca’s Beautiful ASMR Addiction I did 23 years in law enforcement, so I missed many holidays with my family. And you feel exactly as you described. You just watch others have Thanksgiving and Christmas every year. Not fun. But bless God, I have someone now who is now "family" to me, and she is making a nice dinner for me on Saturday. I lost everyone in my family, they are all gone now. I'm all that's left. So spend all the time you can with those you love, and make lots of apple pies, Miss Rebecca. Thanksgiving is thankfulness to the Lord for ALL that we have. And I'm thankful for a kind TN lady who makes apple pie videos. 😁

Found out that my friends husband who does have stage four metastatic lung cancer that his treatments are no longer working so they have him on hospice. My best friend is sick with the fever covid negative but I'm sure she's got the flu. And I'm just stressed thinking about the upcoming hand surgery. Nope! 😂 I super simplified everything so I could do it all in one day. Everything is either boxed, canned or frozen so all I have to do is throw things in the oven. 👏🏻🤭

From my understanding cold butter keeps it from incorporating to well in to the flour which helps in creating steamy melted goodness which helps dough become puffy and flaky.

Found out that my friends husband who does have stage four metastatic lung cancer that his treatments are no longer working so they have him on hospice. My best friend is sick with the fever covid negative but I'm sure she's got the flu. And I'm just stressed thinking about the upcoming hand surgery. So I'm just chilling out with some coffee watching you make a pie. So thank you

From my understanding cold butter keeps it from incorporating to well in to the flour which helps in creating steamy melted goodness which helps dough become puffy and flaky.

You can eat those pies either alone or with cheese, honey, jam, or even sugar!

I really love your baking videos! Love the fabula crinkles 🤩 no offense but I'm not a big fan of pie, the pie still looks pretty! I love how the pies look really good but not a fan of the taste. Maybe your pie is delicious, who knows? But I'd def try if I could. I have my Chinese exams tomorrow, my worst subject 😭😬 why do we have to learn Chinese it's so hard 😭 I like English more but we are forced to learn Chinese 😭 I'm luckily not in mainland china, learning English is forbidden there. I’m not real crazy about pie either. I made this pie with an extra thick crust because it’s the main thing I like about pie. The bready part. The dough. I love apples too! But I think I’d much rather have a gooey chocolate dessert. 😂

Hong Kong is in China but the two places are very different. In china, RUclips is banned, google is banned. Hong kong, google and RUclips are free to use. Instead in mainland, they have alternatives only for mainlanders to use. Alternative for RUclips is Bilibili, alternative for google is Baidu.
