    This is the second of five videos in the Painting 3D Prints series. I cover all the basics that will give you the skills and techniques to paint any 3D printed model from start to finish.
    The number one question I get about my painted prints is:
    "What paints do you use and where do you get them?"
    So in this video, I answer this question and give you my best tips and techniques using cheap hobby paints.
    Yep. There's no secret, special, or expensive paints. It's all in the painting technique and I show you exactly how to do it so you too can get amazing results!
    If you liked this tutorial, please watch the rest of the series, subscribe, and post your questions in the comments.

    Hey Chris, I didn't check the description I'm the first video but you should also add your paints and brushes and tools using your affiliate link from Amazon.
    Great job on the videos so far!
    Only comment I have on this video is the volume was a lot lower than video 1.

    • @ItsMeaDMaDe
      @ItsMeaDMaDe  3 года назад

      Thanks for the feedback! Yeah the volume was due to all my printers were running and made the volume lower with the noise canceling feature on my phone where i recording everything

    thanks i needed exactly this. how long does it usually take to wait for paint to dry before adding a the next layer?

  • @sierrafayad
    @sierrafayad 2 года назад +1

    Hey I noticed that those layer lines look like you have an option in cura enabled by default, its called "Adaptive Layers" or "Adaptive layer height" something like that. I hope this helps if you are still having that issue

      Thanks glad you like it. I was really just focusing on the painting aspect. Since I have other videos explaining how to get rid of layer lines.

    Would sanding the figure remove those diagonal printing lines all over the model ?

    • @ItsMeaDMaDe
      @ItsMeaDMaDe  3 года назад

      Yes it would remove some but you also run the risk of loosing details.

      @@ItsMeaDMaDe Yeah i tried but it instantly unticks it. i looked more into it and it says due to child content laws you can't turn on notifications which is weird because i don't think your content is aimed at children. maybe you need to untick something in the settings or something

    I was hoping for techniques for covering printing lines. You seem to just live with them, but it just cheapens the look.
