  • We get our pool setup across the street at the Bunkhouse. What did we learn? What would we do differently? Would we buy it again?

Got recommended this video because I'm setting up a pool. But as I was watching, I couldn't help but notice the amazing scenery and open skies in the background. I was thinking, "that looks like where I grew up in Oklahoma". Always wanted to escape from there as a kid and now as a grown man with a wife and kids I would gladly move back there in a heartbeat. Utah has been good to me but too many other people want to live here and it's becoming California 2.0. My kid's even loved Oklahoma after going back to the Bartlesville area to visit family. And the sunset you have in this video is priceless.

I feel the same way here in Florida! I lived in Kentucky as a kid, and hated it. But now I'm grown up with my family all I want to do is move back out to the mountains!
Oh and Cali sucks so bad now! I lived up in Northern California and it was beautiful, but they ruined it with all the homeless and druggies walking around like zombies! My family that lived in Cali for generations all moved because of how bad it has gotten!

You both have lost a lot of weight and you both look really good. I love that you are making videos again I get so excited when I see one pop up that you h have downloaded. Great video today the kids are growing up and Josie has gotten more out going with her cute little personality. Hope you had amazing Father’s Day. Can’t wait to when you all start rebuilding the house, and will be able to get your lives back to some sort of normal, there I’d nothing normal right now in this world. But I know God had it all in control according to his plan, and he will provide everything we need.

Hey, I have a nice little piece of information...my husband builds homes up here in Missouri, I came up with the idea 2 yrs ago for our 18' quick set pool, we use Tyvek for ground cover, toughest thing you'll find, nothing pokes through it. When the season is over, just throw it away 😎👍

I used 1” expanded styrene boards to place down underneath the pool. I also used roadbase as the compacted base. Sand washes out as the kids splash around and your legs will start to settle uneven. Polystyrene boards make the bottom nice and soft to walk on also.

I'm impressed by how organized you guys are with the take down, storage, and rebuilding of the pool; it’s not easy work!
I’ve had many above ground pools and taking them down to store has always been the hardest part, lol, so I always leave them up all year round and replace them every 2-3 years. Maybe this year I will take it down and store my new pool lol

    • @hearlyfilms

I was contemplating leaving it up this year and giving that a shot - it's a 4 year old pool now so not sure if it could handle another take down/put up......

As tall and strong as you are y'all don't have to fight with the wrinkles at the bottom. Get a mop with the strings and dig into it like you're rowing and it'll pull right out. Just don't put any water in it before you do that.
