Negative... Majic Johnson power 9 times to the finals ( won 5) Lebron powered 10 times to the finals ( won 4) Majic lifetime triple double 138... Lebron 122 Jordan has 30 triple doubles. Jordan has a lot of ball hog stats and could never lead multiple teams to 10 championships. Only 2 more GOATs are comparable to Lebron Babe Ruth and Tom Brady. Gotta compare GOATs to GOATs. Jordan wears a cape, and Lebron still wears the crown.

I wonder why he couldn't make the '86 Bulls better, so they had to change the whole team... 4 Players under 23, another four under 27... 1990 all gone except Jordan. 0-6 vs Bird in playoffs. Jordan making his teammates better is a myth. The franchise made the team better by drafting and trading players.
Bird on the other hand made his team significally better w/o any other substantial draft or trade. From 29-53 to 61-21 in the year he was drafted. Never won less than 56 games the following 7 years.

    • @spaltersar
      @spaltersar 16 часов назад +1

@ The bulls went from 27-55 to 38-44 after MJ arrived. Birds Celtics went from 29-53 to 61-21. The Bulls never won more than 50 games per season for Jordans first 5 years. They started winning more games, when Pippen and Jackson arrived and several other trades were made. Bird never won LESS than 56 games per season for his first 7 years.
I can't see what you are talking about. To me, this is clearly not the same.
Jordan is 6-0 in finals because he never reached any final, not even conference, with a mediocre team. Bird was the only significant addition to losing a team that already existed and wasn't build around him and made them winners. He also had to face the showtime Lakers in finals. Jordan never had to face a team like them.
Jordan couldn't win a single playoff game vs Bird and was swept twice by Bird in round 1.

You ask us OGs. Well what do your eyes tell you??? It’s not even close. At least MJ didn’t sign short contracts and hold his teams hostage hinting he would leave if they didn’t get him this player, that player, this coach, that coach like LeBron. MJ was loyal. When the Bulls got rid of Phil Jackson and other teammates, he RETIRED. MJ never ever went around the league chasing rings.

Michael made his teammates better during his intense practices and had a residual effect on them. The greats have that effect. Leflop has the opposite effect. Michael's teammates played well without him but lost in the playoffs. When Michael returned the Bulls continued to win championships. In 1991, when the Bulls won their first championship, Michael was the only all NBA player on the team, nobody averaged more than 10 points per game besides Michael. Michael led the team in points, assists, steals. Leflop would've abandoned that team but Michael developed it. Rodman, kukoc and kerr arrived for Michael's 2nd 3peat. The one constant is the goat Michael

Not only did he instil fear in his opponents, he also instilled fear in his teammates. He bullied them to do better and take the pressure off of him. They played their guts out, not only for Coach Phil AND MJ. Phil even said that MJ coached his team members while Phil worked on strategy and execution.
It was a dream team. His teammates hated him during that time, but they recognise that he made them better. Even Steve Kerr said he never wanted to let MJ down, and he instilled that leadership with the Warriors and it showed. They aren't as great as they used to be, but damn they had some great years dominating the league.

Michael's supporting cast improved tremendously over the years, especially in the 2nd 3peat when they got rodman, even though Jordan was still the best player in the league in those years his team was better than ever. BUT there WERE teams with better supporting casts those years, the Lakers with James Worthy, Byron Scott, Vlade Divac. The Celtics with Reggie Lewis, Kevin Mchale, Robert Parish. The Cavs with Brad Daughtery, Craig Ehlo, Larry Nance. All had teams with better supporting cast then the bulls for certain years.

In 94 Pippen was up next after MJ retired but if you know basketball, you’d know he failed. What they don’t honestly tell you is that the Bulls were ready to compete and not have a huge drop off. They had the rights to Tony KuKoc as they had drafted him two years prior and he finally decided to come to the NBA after playing many years in Europe. They also acquired Steve Kerr and Jud Butchler while still keeping Horace Grant, Bill Cartwright and BJ Armstrong. The deaths of NJ Nets Petrovic and Bostons Reggie Lewis before the the 94 season made things easier in the east and fact that Detroit trash with the retirement of their core players along with Isaiah Thomas tearing his Achilles and Dennis Rodman getting traded away to the Spurs. It went all downhill in the playoffs Eastern Conference Semifinals due to Scottie being a lil B!!tch and refusing to enter the last few seconds of game 3 vs my Knicks because he wasn’t getting the last shot to win the game which KuKoc made. Pippen even called Phil Jackson a racist. In 95 Horace, Armstrong and Cartwright are gone and he and the Bulls were on a trajectory of missing the playoffs.

Easier and easy are not the same thing. Any team who loses their best player isn't going to be the same. The Bulls had a great 1-2 Punch during the first 3-peat. The Bulls were still a talented team, but whomever was on the team with Scottie is not the same as MJ having Scottie has his co-star. Comparing Scottie in one year without MJ is not a fair comparison. As fans of that era, we need to stop trying to pit these two against each other. That's what the Lebron fans do. There was a reason the team was revamped in 96. That 95 team wasn't structured to win. We don't even know if MJ Comes back in 95 if Pippen still isn't there

Bc LeBron plays his system only. Which allows no one else to really shine outside of waiting at the 3 pt line while he does he thing. Which also shows why LeBron only won with teams he had all stars and top 75 players. So without LeBron on most teams the team doesn’t know how to play bc they don’t practice team basketball
Plus this notion you can do it by yourself in team sports is the dumbest take ever. Look at LeBrons wins, he won bc he had better players. Let’s be honest Lebron played GM and his system only. So guess why he didn’t win as much but his system allowed him to collect longevity stats. If MJ hadnt of retired and forced to quit after the ‘98 season his overall stats would be way higher as he was scoring 2700-3000 points a year. Take that 3 years plus the injured 2nd year with foot and you get over Kareem in scoring

Jordan wasn't just a scorer as the young man pointed out but teams would change plans DAILY to stop Jordan. There is no one else in history that teams have ever worried about on any level near being worried about Jordan. While he is dropping 50.
When ppl drop 50, no ones expecting it til its way too late. but teams wouldn't sleep, players were not allowed to hang out in the summer with Jordan or trust him as a competitor. It was massive entertainment on a level that we cant compare ppl to it. thats another reason why he is the GOAT.

You must not forget that defense has a lot to do with the other team scoring. So LeBron having a higher average only shows how shitty defense is now, and you should wonder if he really made his team mates better if they are all feeding him the ball and helping him to pad his stats. LeBron being older now it's even easier to see how much his team and even the enemy team and refs are helping him to pad his stats. When he rebounds...no one is near or no one dares to grab it. (Seen a few times AD wanted to grab it but saw LeBron and he still needed his triple double stat...) You have to admit LeBron is being fed easy balls, flops and doesn't do anything on defense. Also defense today is non existent. That's why many players say MJ would average 40 to 50+ today. And getting hard fouled all these years does wear down on your body. LeBron cries when he gets touched, not even a hard foul, so he doesn't even get any damage on his body. But I do see you watching the games and seeing why we older people love MJ basketball era. I just wish people could really see the difference what MJ did and wat LeBron is doing on the court. I really do not have LeBron in my top 25 and really don't think he should be in the top 75 hall of fame and that is not because I'm hating on him. I just see the games he plays and see what is fake. I mean he says in a press conference that he (LeBron) doesn't mind the physicality because he's Football player...(we all see him using is elbows and arms to shove people away and gets no call for it, yet when someone touches him, he flops or cries...)

After the first retirement the Bulls added players, most of which were key components to the second three-peat. Also, the Bulls had to scrap and scrape to pull out wins. They won 55 games but it wasn't easy. The players added were Kuckoc, Kerr, Luc Longly, and a terrific defensive guard, Pete Meyers.

  • @OscarBlancoSketchToon_com
    @OscarBlancoSketchToon_com 3 дня назад

Don't forget what a bastard MJ was to his teammates during practice. He built players by being tough to them. So yes, they had talent when they where hired, but dealing with that ahole attitude (give it all or get out of here) certainly strengthened character and self confidence (which you need to make the shots, no matter how much talent you have, if not, you choke). If they could play against Michael in practice, one of the fiercest competitors and hardest defenders ever, they could play against anyone!
Add in the fear factor the other teams normally had when playing the MJ Bulls, and if his teammates only a fraction of his fierceness and competitiveness (and mind you, they don't want to let the team down, the coach down, but most importantly, their leader down) then you have a Championship team.
This is something plus/minus cannot measure. The actual change in players, not so much their on-court performance with MJ in or on the bench.
For that I guess you need an even larger stat pool, where you take a look at the growth of those teammates and role players, and if you can, bring in stats of them playing on teams that did NOT have MJ in them.
Your boy Lebron is a perfect example of a much easier way of getting those stats @shelovegroovy, since a lot of his all-star teammates where already great before him, and where also great after he dumped the team and hopped to another team chasing rings. Sorry man, but its one of the things I hate most about him. No loyalty, only worried about his stats and acolades. Specially after watching a video that is all about how a great player impacts his teammates.

Let’s just put it this way. If the numbers show that his teammates were great thats good, but as a casual fan I didn’t even know any one else’s name on the Bulls besides Jordan and Pippen until I watched the last dance. Today everyone is very obsessed with numbers and they just werent back then. Jordan isn’t just looked at as the greatest because of his numbers or the titles. It’s because he started off on a bad team and never gave up. Other teams were literally trying to kill this man in the 80’s and instead of giving up or getting traded he worked harder and gave it every thing to make it to the top and the the world watched him go thru his father getting murdered and then he left basketball and came back and pushed his way to the top again. Plus the media wasnt always as nice to him as they are now. They were constantly giving him shit and questioning if he was as great as the hype and through all of that he never gave up and never had any excuses nor did he blame anyone else for his loses or mistakes. Thats why he’s the greatest because he did all of that while putting up absurd numbers and winning titles. I just think that this generation doesnt have anyone like that to look up to so they are obsessed with numbers because thats the only way they know how to tell who is better, there is no heart in the game anymore.

14:08 Dude, all Jordan ever did was wanting to WIN. He HAD to score in the early years in order for his team to win. There is a channel called Blitz Sports and it shows detailed highlights of Jordan games. There were times where the Bulls were down and he had to carry the team to victory, beating teams that were FAVORED to win. How about you react to his third pro game against the Milwaukee Bucks. That Bucks team was talented and was always near the top of the East in the early to mid-eighties. Many people believe that they were the best team not to win a title. Jordan dropped 37 (I think) in his third game and propelled his team to victory over the superior Bucks.

Back in the 80's and 90's, I watched the Bulls, but I would change the channel after the 1st half because MJ would already have 25-30 pts and Chicago would have a 20+ point lead. That's how great he was. He would always have the most points, steals, rebounds and assists. Sometimes leading all 4 categories.

I love that video! MJ was truly a master at controlling his body in the air. To me, only Kobe (RIP) mastered body control during fadeaways at this level!

I’ve been telling you to go watch the blazer series. Everyone thinks it’s a slow game and it’s not. Go watch how fast they played. The only thing missing was the 20-30 3s by one team
This isn’t the playoffs. These are the finals. That Phoenix series he avg I think 40-45 points per game in that series. Then he retired so what does that say at him. He was in his prime and cooking folks in the playoffs and finals
Look up some say the ‘92 team was better than the 96’ team that won 72 games

Triangle offense and Defense. OGs know. The bulls stopped running their offense through one player which allowed everyone to get a chance offensively. Plus there defense was so much betterThen everyone else they didn't lose a lot when Jordan went to the bench.

You know why MJ was considered an 'asshole' and bully to his teammates? He was like a drill sarge. He pushed his teammates to work as hard a he did. It's no fluke his teammates were tough as fucking nails, and were dogs oh the court. That's why they would win even if on paper they were less talented.
LbJ is great but he never had the same effect lol. Often he'd even take plays off. What kind of message does that send his teammates? To only try when it suits them?

The Bulls played well because they practiced well. Jordan was hard on them in practice.

MJ was so good he sometimes took on 3-4 defenders and still scored. So when someone was wide open, there was no one to stop them as well
Groovy wanna know the biggest difference between MJ and Lbj? MJ still says he had great teammates, never said he needed superstars to play with him from other teams 😉

OH DONT FORGET 1 MORE THING..... HIS TEAM WAS SO GREAT BECAUSE OF JORDAN... He pushed them in practice.. and he PUSHED them on the court...

lol, what do we have to say about that… not worried about two guys that chased rings hopping around the NBA. ;)
In all seriousness Lebrons actual peak was impressive, years 6-12. It’s a shame he had no loyalty to anyone but himself including the fans. I cheered for Lebron for many years of his career.

Hold you roll there hoss. MJ never beat Bird in the playoffs. So there is that. Even with Pippen. So yeah.

  • @youngskyler7568
    @youngskyler7568 День назад

I'm a keep it real MJ had the least amount of help out of the everybody in 1993 when Jordan retired he 3 peated without another HOF on the team Pippen wasn't even considered a HOF in 93
So in 1991 the Bulls beat back to back champs which was Detroit without another HOF let that sink in then the same season he stopped the Lakers Dynasty name another player to do that without another HOF
People forget when Jordan retired the Bulls didn't trade any of their players so yeah the team still was good when LeBron left the Cavs they traded all their pieces big difference so the Cavs was ass
Then the 2nd 3 peated Rodman was one foot out of the league the Bulls save his career Scottie had injuries but still was good for the last time Kerr was a role player nothing more Toni Kukoc was that dude in Harper was a shell of himself Jordan never had prime franchise players avg over 20 plus a game he never did
Jordan got his out the mud fr you can't ever compare him in LeBron to different styles at getting rings Jordan went through the grind big difference and the eastern conference teams was better every team had a franchise player another big difference

Want an OGs Thoughts ?? YOU GOT IT.... REMEMBER LeBron didnt play AS MUCH as JORDAN, SO its LeBron's TEAM that did it .. same with SHAQ.. Jordan PLAYED LONGER during games, and MORE games... thats #1..
2, you are talking about OVER ALL STATS that JORDAN has in shorter playing time then Lebrons 22 years and still cant TOUCH Jordans.. except for points in 22 years... let me play
for a team for 65 years and i bet i can beat Lebrons.. thats just DUMB of a stat...
3... JORDAN Proved it, BY all his achievements.. and best stats EVERY YEAR... might be a team sport to WIN championships BUT to get all Individual awards OVER AND OVER
    PROVES who is BEST

Just because Lebron fought the strong Golden State Warriors, he then becomes the GOAT!? Absolute number 1 BS.
    On the otherhand,
Michael Jordan and the rest of the Chicago Bulls were the STRONGEST in their ERA.

You ask what us OGs think? Well, let me point out something about his supporting cast that the narrator failed to mention.
FACT: out of the All Time Top 10 title teams in league history with the WORST offensive supporting cast, "5" of 'em belong to MJ's Bulls, with the '97 and '98 Bulls literally ranking as the Top 2 All Time worst.
In all 6 of their title seasons, MJ led 'em to the title with only "1" other selected All Star (Pippen).
And what makes that EVEN MORE impressive is the fact that Pippen wasn't even selected as an All Star in "2" of 'em, meaning MJ was the LONE selected All Star in those 2 title seasons.
