Thanks for reminding us of what Guts did! We totally forgot about it, despite y'all mentioning how good it was for the umpteenth time during all your Investigator deckbuilding reviews.
I remember when Charisma came out! I was playing Pete through The Dunwich Legacy as the mythos packs were coming out, and believe it or not, Dr. Henry Armitage became an important part of my economy! So I had to get Charisma so that I could have Peter Sylvestre and Dr. Armitage out at the same time :P
I have an idea for another video from you (which I would be of course interested in). Having access to all of the player cards is of course fun and all that... but at some point it leads in my group to decks looking pretty similar and people using same cards over and over, partially because they are good, partially because there is just too many cards for "non nerds :P" (unlike me) to look through so people stick to what they know. Question is - do you have some ideas how you could extract a subset of cards for a particular campaign so it narrows the choice and make it so there are different subsets selected for different campaigns. My vague idea was to take core set, cards from current campaign and cards from campaign that investigator is from for example. Anyway I hope that maybe other people are also interested in that topic and you can make a video out of it :)
This could be a neat topic to work with for a video in the future. I will say, I think your idea for building with a limited selection of core/cycle/investigator's cycle is clean and very inspired.
Hi, i have a question regarding the backpack. It says that you can attach items and then they can be played as though they was in your hand. What happens if you already have a 2 handed weapon, then when you bring the backpack into play and when you search your deck (6 cards) the only items that appear are 3 weapon items each for x1 handed slots. This says 'items in backpack may be played as though they was in your hand' - if you already have a 2 handed weapon in hand does that mean you cannot play the weapsons from the backpack? (as the proper hand slots are already taken up) - ?
No, the cards attached to Backpack don't take up your hand slots, but instead they can be played as if they were in your hand. Essentially, pretend that the cards attached to Backpack were cards that you were holding in your actual hands but they cannot be discarded by game effects that discard cards from your hand.
and additionally, what happens if you draw the Bandolier item when you play the backpack? your body slot is already taken for the backpack, you surely cannot wear the bandolier to give you an extra weapon slot in your official hand and keep the backpack on? (or can you?)
@@Kevin-rf9rg When you play Bandolier, you'll have two cards in your body slot. So you'll need to choose one to keep and discard all others. This is why I try to aim for playing my Bandolier last off my Backpack if I can. That's why having items/supplies that aren't just hand slot cards works very well with Backpack! I hope this helps.
@@PlayingBoardGames Ahhh i see, so the backpack merely allows for more cards to be ready to be played. They do not take up slots unless they are to be played. Very clever with the Bandolier (play it last as you discard the bag after you have exhausted all the other items in the bag already - gotcha). So that means, should I put X2 1 handed weapons in the bag, I would not be able to use them if I was already holding a x2 handed weapon taking up my official hand slots. In my earlier Joe Diamond example, (Colt already taking up x2 handed in play, then i put x2 enchanted swords in the backpack). I could not use the swords unless I discarded the gun? (is that right). *thanks for your help. Relatively new to this and the backpack, as you can see, is throwing me.
@@Kevin-rf9rg That is correct, and first you'll need to play the Enchanted Blades from the backpack before you can use them (which would cause you to discard cards from your hand slots until you had two hand slots filled, which you could then discard the Colts).

Guts is good because the mythos deck primarily uses brain checks to hurt players and that

Love these staple series guys!

Can't wait for the Charlie Kane investigator. I hope it's something more interesting than having a second ally slot.
He has 2 extra!
Thanks guys, fine series comes to an end 🙂
What do you think of Liza Chandler in this place?
Little did you know they'd be including a wrench in Edge of the Earth.
Neutral video and no mention of Lola.
She is featured in the Rogue Staples video!
