- So the Balancing Stellar Blade has seen is pretty insane and it kinda goes unnoticed if you wasn't already doing insane damage before. But I will use the Gigas Rematch fight to show you the new changes that have been made in the New update to stellar blade. Of course there are brand new suits but these changes are pretty big and let me know how you feel about them in a single player game down below.

The skills were fine as they were honestly. But oh well.
Maybe they want to lower the percentage that platinum this game. Because you need three playthrough to get three different endings.

Oh yeah, man-the Skin Suit was our shortcut to “Hard Mode” (double entendre) in the demo. And I 100% agree Boss Rush is real different than Story-my fight against the Great Desert Stalker was super-wild. He burrowed through the sand, called my mama a “hoe foh sho,” and was wilin’ out in ways I never saw before. It was an experience.

The "no shields with skin suit" was always the case. That was the whole reason why people used it for an added challenge.
Did not realize this, then again I only put on the skin suit to see what it looked liked, never actually played with it on.
I play in this costume, but RUclips sets an age limit of 18+ and it’s sad 😥

I gotta be honest, I always felt dirty when using Tempest, it was the biggest get out of jail card in the Game, did huge damage, invul frames for days, regens life, huge área of effect and for only 4 burst cost, yeah, it was busted af.
And I know it is a singleplayer game, but that thing made a lot of encounters too easy.
Anyways, I enjoy this game more when it is hard, this is supposed to be on the hard games side. If I wanted an easy game I would play something else, or play this on story difficulty.

@@MSenseiHD Yes, that for sure. But at current form entire skill is useless. It something that have insanely long time to cast, make Eve immobile and in current form do nothing. From "panic button" it became "kill me button"...
@alexferrier5732 that's why I always used it for emergencies, as a big "fuck all of you !" To enemies, either when I was surrounded or if I wanted to flex on a boss.
I noticed the tempest nerf right away. Super pissed. 😠
People who used these abilities will def notice instantly.
Personal tempest hurts the most. That ability had so much armor and utility. It’s still kills but it doesn’t heal as much and doesn’t feel the same hella unfortunate
If you didn’t used them then it’s just another day.
Luckily it still gives invulnerability for a sec

I know this I was just mentioning it in the video because a lot of people didn't know it was even a thing. I didn't know it was a thing but like I said I never used the skin suit before. until the eve protocol minimum thats when I learned what it really did

I knew the bosses felt a bit more different when I was doing the boss challenges
My thoughts are that Roxanne was support like Lily. She then found out about Raven and her machinations, found out the truth about Naytibas and Xion. Then she barely escaped and became an information broker. Maybe Raven was turned by the Elder Naytiba but passed over for the superior ability of the EVE protocol and grew jealous? A Tachy story, especially showcasing how she got her name, would be nice. We need more backstory on the Mother Sphere and human wars tho.

Thanks for confirming you can still carry over gauge from retrying outside of boss rush! Personally I don’t notice any nerfs with active skills. I did a prepped (fill gauges all the way before proceeding to attack) beta skill spam run against the boss rush Stalker and killed it starting from full HP about 6 seconds faster than pre-patch. I didn’t notice any issues with tempest and it looks like you got hit at the butt end of the animation. I didn’t notice bosses being harder to down with active skills either.
I should of shown it here but I wanted to use a boss instead of open world the damage of the attacks have been adjusted a lot. When I make b-roll for you guys I usually run around different areas of the map and fight the endgame naytibas. It takes alot longer to kill with the shock wave and tempest then it did before. I could one shot enemies before where now after the third wave it kills the naytibas. The actually damage Eve is going has not been nerfed however that’s not touched and I feel powerful like always but they def adjusted the amount of damage these things do
This is my 5th run of the game and during certain fights or situations the adjustments they made are extremely noticeable because I have repeated the exact same process so many times I just don’t think I explained it very well. But they have even acknowledged they didn’t nerf but “balanced” the game
Not complaining either way but for a single player game that they already tested I don’t think they should of gone back and made these changes. But they reason these changes had to be made is because of the implementation of Boss challenge mode.
Cheesing and using certain moves the pre update way would of made the mode trivial. Especially if you knew what moves locked up bosses and constantly spammed those moves.

@@MSenseiHD They had to do the changes because of flaws in core of this combat system. This flaws are still there, but thanks to it rush mode in not trivial as it could be.

whaaat, i was barely scraping through on normal because of my dumbass refexes. and now i gotta deal with more grumpy enemies and loss of some stuns and i frame stuff x_x
I could sense the nerves, but couldn't catalog it like you have. It didn't matter all that much to me until the "Unidentified Nayteba". THAT is when I needed to get some knockdown and it wasn't there.
I'll go back and try a few things, but I had to tap-out today on "Unidentified". I just got into a failure spiral and it wasn't going to happen no matter what I tried.
The nerf is real.
You may have to adjust your build brother, I breezed through the boss rush, but once I hit her I got thrashed, then raven thrashed me, then the stupid robot and then Adam, but once I changed up some gear and exospines it was more manageable.
Honestly when it comes to the Pre-Matrix 11 bosses and I don't feel like doing a dragged-out fight, I can still melt their health away with the rocket, explosive, shotgun and slug ammo. Even post patch. Drone ammo will even melt away 50%-90% of the health of the Pre-Matrix 11 bosses. Then you just gotta slap them with a couple of beta and burst attacks.
Don't sleep on how OP ranged attacks are.
A ranged build in this game slapppppsss your right!!! I have one that uses eagle eye and some ranged gear that dps is kinda wild lol
@@MSenseiHD Especially the rockets which alone will melt at least 90% of the early bosses' health.
Ngl once you upgrade all the ammo you realize how inferior the Beam one is. Really only useful against slow and stationary targets.
I use Tachy Mode L1 Triangle and it does massive damage it's my favorite
Yeah Ioved tempest, specially when I was getting overpowered by enemies and I needed some air. Not relaying on it on hard mode really puts my skills and hours of experience to the test.

In boss challenge mode on normal level it won't let you use dodge and perry counter attacks after reflection 2 and after counter 2 and its annoying cause that's my favourite move to do after dodging and parrying attacks and doesn't makes sense that it seems harder to build up beta energy as well even if you use all MK2 beta gears equipped and existing.
I find those dual button finishers (Triangle + Square) inconsistent. Are you sure they don't simply require enough beta or burst energy to activate?
I think the term you were looking for to describe flinch protection was "super armor"

I just finished my 4th playthrough and got the Neurolink outfit from the challenges. I'll play it again when the photomode comes or another outfit lol
Hyper armor. The term for stun immunity for players, and npc alike is hyper armor.

All 4 of the new outfits are great but the midsummer outfit is probably the best one.
Before the update I use to one shot regular enemies on hard mode that's running around in wasteland or great desert with shock wave and Tempest.

Exactly!!! You know I noticed this because I always farm enemies in the zone for b-roll now I can’t 🤣 so It ruins the style of my video. I hate the static moments in the video now. I’m trying not to use cutscenes just incase new people come through I don’t want to spoil them especially if they just picked up the game you know. Finally someone notice it too. I don't remember Adam was that powerful before the update. I fight him in normal diff in boss rush, but feels like when i fought him in hard diff story, wtf

If this game remains popular and keeps a strong player count and enough people ask for it I can see shiftup adding a NG++. Hell fromsoft did with their games eldenring without mods goes up NG+10 as a example.

The word you were trying to say is hyper armor. It’s the ability to tank through any attack without being interrupted.

I played around with the skills, and they seem to have adjusted the innate “shield pierce” of the skills so you have to destroy the shield before you can do the previous damage levels.
The name of the “attack armor”, by the way, is “flinching”. The bosses no longer flinch if they’re attacking.
Also, I noticed Tempest no longer heals if you kill the mob before the moves last hit. Only the last hit heals now.
Hyper armor is the term for the resistance flinching is the effect when you exceed it

New feature added to Eve. You can manually draw her blade from her hair. However, she has to be undetected unseen in order to manually draw the blade out of her hair. And if the enemy sees her, she automatically draws the blade from her hair and puts herself into combat mode.
But there's a small issue with manually blade System that needs to be tweaked. You can draw the sword manually, but you can not put the blade away. Eve only can .
They need to tweak it a little bit more so the player can put the blade away instead of Eve
R3 to Pull the blade out of her hair Manually.
Be unattracted un seeing and Face to enemy R3 Lock targets the enemy Allow you to pull the blade from her hair.
You also can do this with ambush and assaul

I´m playing NG+, even regular enemies like the pulp head brutes in matrix 11 can hit you hard while executing triplet or any beta skills. Nothing interrups strong enemies anymore
I agree with this. I did full game hard mode before update and since Raven is my fav I'm doing her boss challenge hard mode for better times and yes, game is different. Bosses now sometimes ignore beta stuns etc. Even the sloppy bosses that used to be stunned instantly get their shit through. I like it though. Don't commit to superskills if not sure.

I very rarely used Burst moves unless I'm surrounded or getting outnumbered by normal enemies then I'll use Tempest. Even fighting bosses I very rarely used Burst moves and used mainly Beta and even then it's usually the shield breaker or L1+O that I normally use as I prefer to read their movements and practice my dodges and parries.
To be fair bud the description for the skin suit says it has no shield lol.
I guess its a compromise where we get Midsummer red but the skills are nerfed
Anyone know if you can get these outfits from Roxanne when you're past the point of no return? For context, I'm just up to the bit where you face the boss Adam rescues you from at the beginning of the game.
You probably already know, but yes you can access her shop after coming back to Xion from Spire 4.

Haven't played since I finished the hardmode boss challenges but by the final 3 i was getting hammered even with max gears xD So much worse than when id fight em in hardmode story. For Providence & Elder Naytiba i ended up making a Beta spamming build with Beta Trance Mk2 & Recovery Mk2 with gears that gain back beta energy on damage taken, combos etc.
Damage wasn't significant but I practically kept em down almost the whole time. Like to use Infinite Breaker to attempt to prock beta trance as it has the highest number of hits out of all the beta skills
thats one way to do it. hahaha not my style but im glad you was able to take it down in a way that works for you.. I love that part of this game you play the way you want
Oh man, I experienced that "attack anyway" stuff today! I was just trying to use tempest and even though I was in the middle of that attack, the boss didn't get stunned AND they hit me even though I never even finished the animation! I've never seen such bull! But I think tempest, descending break, and punishing edge never got nerfed specifically. It seems as if they nerfed everything for bosses by making it so when they do those long special moves, they just can't be stopped until they are done. I can't complain about all that though, because I was terrified they were going to maim shockwave by making it so it doesn't knock them over!
yeah they kept that part of it.. but the only people who will noticed this change are the ones who have been beating down these boss for a while like we have. its crazy right but yeah at the end of the day I guess we just gotta take it as it comes.

The no shield on the skinless, my friend trolled me for days. I don't play these types of games so I was still adjusting. She had me fight Raven in that suit, took me 3 days to beat her and she was trolling me and laughing every time I died, not knowing I had no shield and that's why I was losing so hard
That no shield? Is crazy right I didn’t realize what was going on until the boss rush mode dropped because I had never tried to play the game without a suit on..

Highly recommend if you like Stellar Blade combat. Easy to learn, rewarding to get good. Very over the top story and characters but in the best way
Fights just take a little longer. Tempest can still stun lock and deal enough damage even in hard mode when you need it with a beta build.
Anyone any tips on the Elder Naytiba? Because I can't beat the f#cker and it's driving me crazy! Had no problems with him in the main game, but in challenge mode.... whoooie! 😶🌫
how do you want to beat him... I got tips but it depends on your approach. there's the easy strategy or a harder but more satisfying strategy. Im thinking about making a video on it. but you can go beta trance with beta charge, beta recovery 2nd exospine protection mk 2 with protective gear mk 2 and anything in the last slot.. or you can go for a more balanced. Double edge, protection gear, beta attack power boost, Reflex exospine and chain type or reflex exospine with a beta trance type for defense and strategic lock up.
@@MSenseiHD for me double edged is not worth the tradeoff boosting crit chance averages out to more damage especially with combo build and is safer throw in a speed boost for faster combos and ur cooking with fire
You can just stunlock almost 100% of his hp with a supression exospine and either the beta or burst skill one (forgot what they are called) along with attack speed and whatever other damage preferences u can/want to stack on ur socket slots, it's honestly the reason why I don't see a problem with some ability nerfs, it's very easy to make bosses into afk piñatas
Unless I'm just stupidly op The only bosses I've had a prob with so far in NG+ is the bitch you fight right before going into the abyss levoir and the behemoth you fight in the northern great desert. The last boss I fought was the 3 phase boss right before the space elevator so I haven't gotten to raven or any of them yet.

I don't mind the nerfs as much personally.. I hear a lot of people say too that hard mode was too easy.. People like a challenge the dev gave it to them :)
There are also no trophies bound to hard mode so for people who find it too hard, so no harm done I think

NG++++ is a great idea for increased difficulty bc the replay is so fun and challenging.

The funny thing is I'm still on my first play through and I see the nerfs and now that you said it's been nerfed from your 3rd play through and boss rush, I'm kinda ticked cause of the try hards but I'll push through it.
I would have been on a 2nd or 3rd play through, but injured my wrist lifting heavy equipment at work, so I'm now jus picking up from where I left off. Bout to battle Bilal, and collecting my final 3 cans.

Normally I love kunoichi outfits like a stupid amount but there’s some dumb fabric around her chest that just lowers my love for it redhood probably the best one or the Alice one

I didn’t understand that design choice either especially because the other outfits are showing a lot more.
Honestly and this is just my personal take on it.. I think to get things cleared they are labeling the more revealing outfits as swim suits so they can’t be label as clothes that reveal to much. Because the image of a swim suit is literally less fabric in most cases which kinda stops any argument of well why does this look a certain way. Smart move in my opinion by the dev team.
But like you said I wish too the diamond fabric on her chest was not there
The nerfs are why I deleted the update before it could install. It was bad enough that Rael wouldn't be interrupted by triplet in the original version
Rael and the other royal guard are insane if you don’t know how to fight them. They ignore everything it’s kinda ridiculous
I always used a tank build. I never had to rely on beta or burst. Just know your enemies and you’ll be fine

I needed these changes because I use 2 double edge mk2 gear pieces on my build and I wanted this challenge. It makes it so I can die to a spider if they sneeze on me and I’m not paying attention🤣
@@MSenseiHD I agree the game can be tough if you want it too. I took of f the protection gear for one fight and soon after put it right back on. Huge difference

Because Eve fights naked. And omg i didn’t realize how important protection was until i was raging at getting one shot by everything😅
Although I disagree with Ning, a single player game I’ve never cheated any of the bosses by stun, locking them with the beta skills so I haven’t noticed a difference in balance
Also, I’m surprised you didn’t know that the skinsuit took away your shield. That’s one of the more known details about stellar blade and I’m surprised that you missed it because you know most if not all the finer details about stellar blade.
to tell the truth right.. the only reason I didnt know about it is because I never used it.. for YT reasons.. didnt want to get a video flagged or something I took a chance and did the eve minimum protocol as a test on the channel and when it cleared thats when I actually wore the suit for the first time and realized what was going on lolll.. I know a lot but thats thanks to you guys fam. Your support has maybe this whole stellar blade journey amazing.

funny you said this about the AI. So I did my first NG+ run on hard this was before the update. I noticed right away that windows had been .closed for certain moves. then I get to the wastelands I am struggling. to finish these bosses off. my thought was well maybe I just up my attack speed and that way I can just move around faster that bosses being bigger and slower will have a hard time hitting me.. 😢 nope the Ai changed there commands. so now I am fighting Gigs with attack speed of 150% lol. I was so mad that day I almost broke my controller. 99% of the time I am a calm cool collected person .
broooo you and me bothhhhh you have no idea.. how I was about to break my brand new controller over the brute challenge mode... I couldn't believe his knew found IQ and attack speed.. know exactly what to use when you make Any mistake whatsoever. it was brutal.. coming from brute no pun intended lol
@@MSenseiHD there is a button command I learned from playing destiny 2. it is called 'Green Thumb' this button setup changed my play style for life. so it puts your melee attacks on the joysticks . Upshift does not allow button changes. so you have to change your button controls on the ps5. I moved 🔺 button to L3 and ◽button to R3. This is called Green Thumb play style. hope you try it out. Not many people play this style but it is amazing I always use it for hack and slash games.

In my opinion they took Eve from feeling powerful especially on normal difficulty. To feeling not powerful. The last four or five bosses feel like bullet sponges now on normal difficulty with New Game Plus gear. It should not take me 5 Minutes to Kill Providence with new game plus mk2 gear. I'm not sure what the percentages are on this Nerf but I think they're significant. This is just what game developers do though. I'm not sure why games are like this but it feels like lots of games Nerf the player after a month or so
Which is something that I hate in single player games… the internet has destroyed the gaming industry as a whole because of this. Less balancing and testing because you can always go back and patch the game!? Is the new way of thinking and it’s sad. This is an issue with gaming today
By now am already on my 6th playthrough cause this game is phenomenal! But yes, these nerfs have humbled me big time lol got through every boas challenged on hard except the last 3. When I passed the story on hard they gave me an ok amount of challenged but nothing impossible. Now after the update, They've taken me down to noob town😂 Its all good tho, keeps people playing this awesome game and maybe I'll get better lol
I know exactly what you mean. hahahah there are bosses now that are putting in an extreme amount of work and can take your life instantly its kinda crazy lol

@@MSenseiHD hyper armour allows the attacker to finish their attack without being stunned, and super armour is just being able to get hit without being stunned.

People have been shamelessly bragging about how they're able to cheese every boss in the game with crosswave and how it makes the game trivial. I'm also not surprised these nerfs hit when people can trivialize every boss in the game with a single ability
I mean I will never judge how people want to play there games to be honest. And I know about the cheese strategy and what not be personal it takes the challenge out of the game for me and I just choose not to. It hasn’t affect my personal play style or time in the game but it did make a lot of boss challenges a little harder then it would of been before the adjustments.

@@MSenseiHD Nah, no judgement from me either. I just choose to play this game a different way. 4x double edge gears, reflex + suppression type exospines mainly. I also save my crosswaves to use after a Repulse since that skill counts as a ranged ability and Repulse boosts ranged damage
Tbh the nerfs don’t really feel that bad. They mostly just made it harder to stunlock bosses and toned down the clear best options a tad.
Completely agree. The game is just more balanced now. Promotes use of other skills that weren’t as valuable before.

Armor or power armor
I saw power armor but I have heard the term super armor used a lot..when I say power armor I always think of fall out lol so I decided to ask you guys the correct terminology
@@MSenseiHD I haven't played fallout. "Armored" is a term in fighting games that describe exactly what you're talking about, although the opponent uses a gauge charge in order to do it
Why they nerf the damage? None of Eve's abilities did that much damage to begin with besides shockwave. Her abililities are more utility in my opinion which made them nicely balanced
Depends on the build and how you use them. If you start working with a certain build or if you were trying to cheese something you could. I was never interested but there was plenty of people out there bragging about the op build that could destroy everything and all the did was you shockwave til the boss died

@@MSenseiHD Ah that makes sense. I usually do more combos than abilities so I probably didn't notice it too much. Although I did watch FightinCowboy playthrough and he was just stunlocking bosses infinitely with abilities lol. I was thinking that they should increase the base attack speed by 30% for Eve do you think that would be a nice change to have just to make the combat feel a little more fluid?
@@matrxzeno4761 they kinda do that already if you utilize the Overdrive ability or the actually speed increasing gear in the game. her attack speed is phenomenal but its extremely hard to control and to get the combos out consistently which is why I think they make a game more or gear to choose from rather than straight increasing it. Because a lot of the combo inputs at that point can be easily missed so you wouldn't be able to string combos togethers unless you had the dexterity of a god lol..
dont get me wrong if you know your combos and your good in overdrive yes its feels aaammaaazing destroying anything at speed. they die before you even finish the drawing sword animation 🔥
@@MSenseiHD yeah I play a lot of fighting games thats kinda why i want Eve's attack speed to be fasster by default without using over drive or speed increase gear lol. But overdrive is very sick I just wish I could use it more often lol
My man I couldn’t help but noticed that you’re ain’t using your Shield breakers, it’s the go to move for every boss fight, especially against providence, if you had used it in this video, the fight would have been over.

Thisss !!! is what I have been testing and your exactly right.. its not Nerfs its Balanced.. they wanted to get people to use certain gear pieces and we was too powerful in base which made it irrelevant to even use gear to have that build in the first place.

I'm not surprised that we are getting skill and gear nerfs. People might complain, but some of the skills and gear combinations are obviously overpowered to the point where you can just cheese the enemy. I really don't think the developers intended for us to be able to stunlock the bosses. Obviously nerfs will be coming.
Exactly which is why they were adjusted especially to keep the difficulty authentic for the boss challenge mode. I like the changes personally
I hate nerfs in single player games
it's a single player game, you should be allowed to cheese stuff if you want. and if you want more challenge, you just /don't/ use those mods, you know, so everyone gets the experience they want?

@@nightmaregabe1057 I have I’m almost done with all of them. To be honest the differences between normal and hard? I don’t really see it. There more aggressive yes. But you already know the fight after doing it on normal which makes it a lot easier or at least that was the case for me. They switch up combos and punish. That’s about it nothing drastic. I have been posting them on the channel and will continue to do so casually.
