Great film awesome cast but very sad ending..i loved Buck. We dont deserve the love and faithfulness of dogs. I have 11 dogs and would be lost without them..They keep me moving and show me unconditional love, something most humans arent even capable of.

I remember , it was 1970, I received a book for Christmas, Jack London, a collection of tales from the north , Call of the Wild ,Whith Fang ,Sea Wolf and various short stories. I've had nothing but admiration for the author ever since. As with many great writers, London can be enjoyed at any age . In my opinion, book to movie adaptations never quite equal what a vivid imagination can dream up while reading and often ,due to time restraints, whole portions are cut from a film. The original black & white version of this film is great production and well worth your time. Thanks , appreciate the chance to watch this version, featuring my favorite breed of dog, the German Shepherd.

I really enjoy this movie. I like a lot of different movies but this one gets to me every time. Buck is a great companion and brings a lot of emotion to me. Love dogs and the outdoors. The actors do a fantistic job in their carricters. No matter how many times I watch it I gain more and more from it. Those times must have been hard.

Truly remarkable animal training in this film; it boggles the brain how they were able to coordinate the various scenes w/ the group of wolves. Superb production values all the way around; and a very respectful treatment of an all time classic tale of the northern gold rush country....

You must be a special woman and strong to life in the wild. Sending big Aloha to you and I hope you can pass it on to others so they too can feel the call of the wild. I do live in a place similar but a little bit easier. In the jungle of east Maui, life can be tough too and keeps one on its toes. Hard work comes with blessings and rewards. I got a little bit closer to the creator and thank it for the Aloha I received around here. Hope I will be strong to pass it on too and I do pray a little bit for guidance and strength. great movie with a inspiring message. Wishing you the best and hope you did find if not gold but what you really need/ well maybe some gold. Take care and good day to you.

And I had hoped did they took away from it what is truly rich in a man's life is it wealth is it Fame or is it being complacent and happy with who you are and where you are no matter what life throws at you you can still be happy hope and have goals work toward them cherish those things around you that money can't buy!!! And their responses to that SA was heartwarming in that as children they understood and I pray that they carry it with them throughout their lives

I read this book in 9th grade. Once I started I couldn't stop till I finished it, to this day still haven't read another I liked better. The movie was good but...the book was better.

I saw this movie before finding the book in my school library, and it has coloured my view of the ebtire thing. This movie made me critical to the newer adaptations.
I'm actually mad about the cgi dogs in the newest version.
