I'm so proud to have this park as my home park
Its mid tbh I wouldn't be to proud
@@HugeRMCFanBoY-bx3od you don't know what you're talking about. A lot of people including me have such an amazing connection to the park, it's not only the rides. It's the animals, environment, nature, amazing staff. Just a great place!
same
Same
@@HugeRMCFanBoY-bx3odyeah it’s maybe not great when all you care about is roller coasters and if the park doesn’t have an RMC. Smarter people appreciate parks for other aspects as well
Family RMC in this park would be amazing
Or any park
Yeah. Like a smaller RMC Ibox coaster. Like 80ft tall perhaps, maybe 1 inversion or 2. Or perhaps something in the same style as Fønix at Fårup Sommerland. Like a big thrill coaster which isn't super big on the positive G-forces and is just a super fun time without ripping your face off.
Scenic theme park. Looks nice!
Jungle mission was originally themed to a Belgian comic book.I believe in English called Bob & Bobbette and based on their adventure called the buzzing egg. Those locals are the remenants of that theming. The story played in the Amazon. This book series also features some rides from efteling and features also other parcs like Beekse Bergen and Bellewaerde. They have a small statue in the zoo of Antwerp. And you can't see it nowadays but Walibi had rides based on Tintin.
fun fact they also have a comic book about rookburgh from Phantasialand
This is a perfect themepark for lil kids who are looking for their first coaster while still being able to have fun with their families
Big coaster fan here and you are correct its still a nice park to visit if you put youre coaster cravings on the backburner.
@@arturobianco848 i don't think big coaster fan was necessarily
Amazonia just opened yesterday and it looks mad!
The first POV does look very promising! You get a full very speedy rapids ride that starts high up and then you are lifted up to the same height again and slide down that steep (for a water ride) slide like in a classic waterpark. I hope it is going to be reliable, as it seems quite complex.
They just signed a contract with vekoma for a stc
There's a similar lemur habitat at Bioparc in Valencia, Spain. You go right in there and hang out with the lemurs.
There are a few here in the UK as well, they're very common in Europe.
Ooo, can't wait to watch this awesome vid again, keep uo the good work!
Thx for the great review!
Maybe next time I'll see you at Amazonia?!
(the little Ride OP from Wakala and Ride to Happiness :p )
thanks for commenting, it was fun seeing you again :) We will definitely have to check out Amazonia at some point!
I love how Dawson Due's station is elevated so high off the ground.
They are planning to build an Vekoma STC and a vekoma boomerang, like the ones at tripsdrill and Emerald park. It should be done in 2026
I grew up in a small town next to it. In the summer, my dad's company got me and my sibling season passes. I try to go back every summer as of nostalgia, plus, the park is amazing!
a medium sized woodie would be great in the park, and maybe a darkride.
Since they replaced a dark ride to add in Huracan, it'd be nice to see a new dark ride eventually show up
Those walk-through lemur exhibits are quite common in Europe, I can think of a decent number of zoos etc. that have that here in the UK. They are great though!
I was in belewaarde with my class (yes i'k from belgium)
That raft ride looks amazing!!
Im so thankful i found this video!!! Im going on a trip to this park in July now im aware of the rides and other things they have to offer!!!
The new rapid river also has a drop tower section, it looks nuts
You should do houdini mad house next time, the preshow is really cool it does have a nice atmosphere. It's an underrated ride
Not sure if you went during peak season, but when I went mid-August last year the operations and parking situation were awful. Love the expansion, but I hope they invest more in logistics in the future.
I think it’s great that you’re introducing this little Belgian park to Americans. Belgium thanks you for your visit and sees you soon
They are planning a vekoma suspended thrill coaster now. So new thrill is coming :)
the log flume got a new station to match amazonia and now its called rio de coffee, and they also added a mini log flume also in amazonia and that 1 is called rio de cacao
Sounds like a neat little park. And yeah many zoos here in Europe have animal exhibits where you can get into the same enclosure as the animals. And that goes for a ton of different species. I know one place in particular that does it a lot is in Denmark called Randers Regnskov. A big immensely themed indoor zoo inside a bunch of biodomes with lemurs and flying foxes and monkeys all around you! I know the Copenhagen Zoo also has similar setups with some of their animals like Flamingos and Kangaroos. And another zoo here in Denmark, Ree Park Ebeltoft, also has a train ride through several animal exhibits. And at Knuthenborg Safari park (which does actually have a unique credit by Gerstlauer) you can drive through all the exhibits in your own car. Though of course all the zoos mostly take great priority in the animals well being as well, with just as much of a role with animal conservation as with running an attraction.
TLDR: Never underestimate a European zoo.
The better food at the park is at the A entrance. In the kings table or the frieterie
Those are both overpriced and still not good
They should have just paid a bit extra and eat at the Texas grill.
@@berrec88 Ow yeah I forgot about that😅 Or go to the nearest frietkot😂 cheaper and better
@@berrec88 Still bad food
If you didn't already think they had enough water rides, there have been rumors / unconfirmed leaks they might be adding a splash battle in a few years
that'd be wild
I'm so glad to see that my homepark is getting some credits.
I have been to this park a lot of times because it's not a long drive from my home, but the fact that there isn't an outstanding rollercoaster i would much rather visit Plopsaland or Walibi. Still an amazing family park tho. I can't hate on it. The one thing i hate is the boomerang. It has to go!
I totally understand the drive to visit the other parks instead cause they have an outstanding coaster. As I mentioned at the end I think of Bellewaerde invested in something that was thrilling enough to draw in more guests without eliminating some of their audience by keeping the height requirement low then I think they'd be set
How dare you.. Zebra 🦓 cake is delicious!! 😅 Nice review, glad you enjoyed the park. We love it too!
I normally love Zebra Cakes, but this one was very bad… it didn’t taste like the others
Never rode a Huss Topple Tower but the giant things on top make them look bizarre
That’s a lot of walking for the alpine coaster
Planning on going there again next weekend last time i was there in 2020 and yes i liked it to not the most spectaculare park just a nice relaxed park.
To be fair im looking forward to rides to happiness more finaly have a free weekend to do both parks.
Cool review! I really need to go there.
It's, in my opinion, the best and most attractive amusement park in Belgium. Lot's of nature, nice attractions, great stunt & dive-show, friendly personelle. Yeah, it's a "must-see".
6:40 I rode Dollywoods Topple Tower the couple years they had it. It was by the drop tower and wood coaster. Really great ride.
I have been there when i was a kid. I remember the park more to be a zoo, thats why i skip it every year. The only thing i remember here are the old rapids and log flume, some giraffes and the Boomerang ( "Cobra" in Walibi Belgium & the "Speed of Sound" in Walibi Holland are the same ride)
becaus of this video, A revisit is needed,. It has been 20 years ago, maybe 30...
So sad they got rid of Los Piratos, truly one the greatest dark water rides I've ridden
The cobra in Bellewaerde is the first upside down rollercoaster I ever did. :o
Didn't know it was still in use.
I went on Timber Tower at Dollywood, and that ride was all about the interaction with the rising and falling fountains that may get you wet. I had a blast on it on a hot summer day. I can imagine without any fountain interaction, the ride will be pretty dull
FunFact: the Rainbow Magic Land park near Rom has an attraction called Maison Houdini, which is, you guessed it, a Vekoma MadHouse themed to Houdini 😆
Huracan looks so cool from what I’ve seen from it
Fun Fact: Huracan is a clone of the Legoland Dragon coasters. And it's still a shame a really good MACK Supersplash darkride with a very large drop inside had to be removed for Huracan. It was one of the best darkrides in Europe.
Haha nothing wrong with zebra cakes! Great video, I'll visit Bellewaerde for the first time this summer!
Looks nice! I live in Germany, but I always discounted Bellewaerde because of its lack of thrill rides. The video made me want to visit it though!
I wish they had a new dark ride to replace Los Piratas. There are enough parks with many roller coasters and since Belgium has a lot of bad weather, some inside attractions would be nice.
Yeah, big plot of land to build on ... sadly, Bellewaerde is situated in Flanders, and that's a wasp nest when it comes to get a license to build.
a new vekoma suspended thrill coaster has been confirmed, which might take some since since theyre buying new land and of the rules in flanders its gonna take quite a while to change ''farm'' land into leisure land
It's also my home park and altough I like every visit; they do lack a big standout (wooden) roller coaster and a good dark ride (like they used to have with Los Piratas). Jungle Mission also needs a major and modern overhaul imo.
Nobody understands the decision to build Dawson duel, but it is there, so might as well just ride it if the line isn't long. For the historic importance alone, that Boomerang should be on every coaster enthousiast's bucket list.
If you decide to revisit, then make sure to eat at the Texas Grill, way better food for just a couple of Euros extra (strange you didn't like the zebra cake, as it's one of Belgium's favorite cakes to eat).
Overall it's a nice park, but because it's a corporate park where max profit with minimum cost is the main stimulus, they don't get the money they need to make it a standout park. There's so much more potential in it to make it a (smaller) European version of a Busch Gardens park.
0:12 I study coasters and WW1 stuff this area will be perfect for me
I actually work at that park, everyone's usually so friendly
I am the blond long haired dude in the middle of the rapid river at 4:51! So cool to see myself in a RUclips video! Haha
Never heard of this place
As said in other comments, there are multiple lemur exhibit s were there is nothing is separating you from the animals. On my coaster trip in Belgium/North France, I visited Paira Daiza, which is basically a highly themed zoo, with the ambition of high-end themepark (it's worth the visit even regardless of them having no rides).
They also had lemurs there and I was very popular with them as at some point I had four of them on me. Couldn't use the my professional camera though so close, so I had to take selfies with the lemurs with my phone camera. Basically it was hot weather and they like the salt in sweat, so I was being licked clean by lemurs😂
I work there, but i agree with most of your points...
I think a gravity group coaster would fit perfect at this park
there used to be a much closer topple tower at Marineland in Niagara Falls, Canada but we all know what happened to that park 🫣
I went to bellewaerde last monday and there werent any effects during the ride except for the starting section
I really liked this park, it is very weird but it looks great and they have sone of the best family coasters.
0:54 I had to rewind that a few times coz i thought I was tripping
The thing that is crazy about this park that it is in the middle of some field and when you are in the park you don’t notice it at all
Belgian here: fries are bad??? Zebra cake bad?? What what what?
A while back Huracan actualy had waterfalls out the station
Btw I live in Belgium
Bro don't hate on zebra cakes, they are literally the best. Otherwise great video
Oh normally I like Zebra Cakes, but these were awful
@@CoasterStudios those are the one and only original zebra cake!!
I think most people presure that we get reviews from anymore but Matt
CAPYBARA
Taylor, have you been to MarineLand? This park looks like a 100% better version of that place!
yes I have, I wasn't a big fan of Marineland!
Haha yeah, Marineland is a dump 😂
the food is amazing good
FIRST ONE HERE. 16 SECONDS PUBLISHED
I'm an animal lover, but BWP'S cages for wild animals are tiny. And this around loud rides and visitors. It hurts me to see that and why it's not a good idea for animal lovers to visit this park.
According to well-informed sources, a new spectacular rollercoaster would be coming in 2026!!
that would be awesome!
I think all this park does it make it pretty clear theme parks should stick to being theme parks, and zoos should stick to being zoos.
its ok im going tomoraw
as a belgian saying a zebra cake sucks hurts 😭😭
Normal Zebra cakes we love but the one we had at Bellewaerde was different and just didn’t taste right….
6:15 i did it 15 times💀
You just mentioned that new Rapid ride in construction: I believe it opened this weekend: ruclips.net/video/GOQwMmzorJo/видео.html
Who doesn't like a Zebra cake?
I normally do, but this one was terrible for whatever reason
@@CoasterStudios Well it's looks like a Lotus, a Belgian brand...
naah man, the zebra cake hate goes to far xD
Hey I normally love Zebra Cakes but this one was just bad
@@CoasterStudios very strange.. cause lotus is usually quite good
All is great, but those are not capybara they are mara. I have been screaming at my screen
Is it me or do almost all these smaller parks in Europe look the same?
Is it me or do almost all Six Flags park over in the US look the same ?
@@Sauci55on They do but at least Six Flags is 1 company. Europe has so many small parks that are family owned or by different companies and they still manage to look so similar.
Not totally. But a lot of the smaller parks have a long history and started as recreational parks focused on kids, some like Bellewaerde had animals as main attraction. So many tend to have a lot of natural green areas and only added more and bigger rides step by step to attract more people.
@@verybighomer They all seem to look really green and have unique rides with like 3 or 4 or 5 coasters. The vibe of the atmosphere and rides feel to do something simular.
@@maxhagenauer24this is the only park in Belgium with "only" 5 coasters
Omg non Belgium pepole prenoucing Flemisch/ Walloniëfrench ( yes I sad it ) Words is so werd
Btw my grandfather was one of the consterters on Bobbejaanland
