Priscilla was such a phenominally wonderful film!!! It personified the disco years that I grew up in and really held the energy of the time. They had 3 perfect actors who, through the "ridiculous", created a remarkable story that still brings joy to viewers today, nearly 50 years later.
I'm surprised the director thinks Hugo has an awkward face, because I thought he looked great as a woman, (well, drag queen). I'd love to have his arched eyebrows and high cheekbones, which also worked really well as Lord Elrond, Elvenking.
anyone else notice that Hugo was the only one that was not mentioned to have said enough during the shooting of the movie? I'm tot trying to put Terrence and Guy down, or take anything away from them, they're fabulous actors. But Hugo, he's just amazing and so wonderful, I would love to meet him one day. :3
This movie is so great!! I'm totally hetero, but I never get tired of it, and it always makes me grin like a fool. Homophobes need to see it and just enjoy it, and just get over themselves. It makes me wanna do drag, if I could be as great as they are.
A gay friend of mine lent it to me, and I fell in love with it right away. Considering how tightly strung the budget was, with how little and occasionally desperate materials they had to work and the sheer magnitude of what they came up with has rightly won this movie an Oscar-hell, I'd say of all the movies airing that year it was the only one who deserved it. And I dare you, all you tight-minded little homophobes, to go out there and do ABBA in spandex! Takes balls and guts to do that!
My Name is Alicia, like Alice, Alice Springs...becouse my Mom read a book called "A town like Alice" while living in Australia with my Father.and we are from Uruguay!!!!!🇺🇾😁😉
i love when theyre stuck in the desert and dressed up and the people in the car come that were going to help them go to town and they looked at them like"wtf?!"clasic crazy
$4000-$5000 budget for costume, a pivotal area. Let's work with what we've got. Go shopping with the Mum who knows how to get the bargain and then win an Oscar for best costume - brilliant!
what an amazing insight, I can say on behalf of the worlds drag queens, THANKS for the inspiration, I'm taking it one step further and converting a bus called CILLA . watch me channel..
I wish there were more videos about Pricilla out there. What a remarkable story.
