I'm a Chevy guy but I do get jealous when my buddies with Dodges and Fords just slap on 35s+ without much effort! The square fenders do make the look but I wish they just made it bigger and had the wheel liners fitted better to allow big wheels from factory.
Eddie, very informative I am thinking of switching my Denali 1500 for a 2500 and didn’t want to do such a huge lift, this stance is truly my favorite. Hey I would love to see you do a review on cigars next!
I did a 6" Trail Master,35/12.50/17 on my 1500 4x4.Im not sure about the offset but it is negative.Minimum trimming on the plastic and nothing else.Im really happy with it so far!it handles and rides a lot better too...surprising!
Man I am SO glad you posted this! I have a 2015 Silverado LT 1500 and this is the exact look I want (as far as height and tire size). Does this kit keep the angles level?
I just did a 5" with 35s on my 16 Duramax and the guy that did it maxed my keys out so Im taking it back to have it turned down and bumber spacer I just cant bring my self to cut my bumper and doing a add a leaf so I can pull my 36' camper and not have the Carolina squat, great video Eddie Im torn on deleting my truck I love how they run deleted but I also like how it dont stink and its quite stock🤷♂️
Hey Eddie love the channel I'm a new subscriber. Was wondering if you could give us a tour around the Duramax and give us a list of things you've done to it. Also in the videos when you're pulling people out who are stuck are you in 4wd? 4hi 4lo? Just curious what works best keep up the awesome videos bro!
ya i am going to do a full tour of the truck and show u everything i got on there and i was pulling people out in 4 High but i also herd that it is better to pull them out in 4 low bc it wont stress the transmission out me personally have never used 4 low but i am going to try it out
Enjoying your videos and would love to talk to you more about your truck. I live in Southeast Georgia and I hate the country boy look of how they do builds! I like your style and maybe you could help me put a build together over the rest of the year.
Really thinking about a 15 3/4 ton Sierra. I’ve always had stock trucks, but always enjoyed a decently lifted HD. I came across your page and said to myself this guy has the right idea. My knowledge is lacking and between the parts websites and forums my head is hurting! This is going to be fun, but at the same time I want to do it right. It’s time to put my research in.
There are so many different things that you can do to your truck and so many different brand lifts What lift kit are you looking into getting Or have you Found a lift kit that you're interested in yet
So size matters to you i see. Compensating? joking man, I know where youre comming from. I want my 05 1500 with a 4in and and 33s. i already have the old school grandpa's cool truck so why not continue. Still need my truck for towing and that but i need the same height as my stepfathers ram 3500. Im tired of fighting on trailer heights when having to barrow it or work on the farm. Also, cancer took a bit of my tibia and my entire knee joint. Rods both ways with a false knee, but still have my leg. I cant jump or run anymore. Hell, im not suppose to climb ladders and operate equipment but i do as i cant even take stairs lmao. Keep up the videos man.
ya i had to get those 37s to fit some how...sorry to hear about your knee man this cancer is a bitch but at least your still living life and having fun dont let nobody tell u what u can and cant do keep pushing for greatness, Thanks for watching man much appreciated
What’s up Eddie? I have a 2014 dmax 3/4 ton and I’m going to lift it, I’ve watched your video with Ryan and you said you had a 5 inch lift and other videos you said you had a 4 inch, my question is do you think you could fit 37’s on a 4.5 bds lift and how wide are your rims 10 inch or 12 inch? Thanks bud.
it was 5 then i dropped in another inch to 4 and my rims r 9.5 wide with a +18 offset if u go BDS u have to get a 0 or negative offset thats y i did not go with the BDS kit but if u r ok with the tires sticking out then ya u will fit 37s just have to trim a little bit
So you said if you have the DEF tank and the 2500 amp steps you can't fit 37's on a 4" lift. but what about the 5" or 6", can you still have the DEF tank and 2500 steps with those? Thanks
Great video my man. Quick question? This will be my first time doing modifications on my 2018 GMC 1500 Sierra. What i want to know is will 22"×12, rims, 33-35 tire, and 4-5 inch lift mesh like I want it. Without rubbing or having to trim anything? I'm looking to do a offset of about -43 or -44. If not what do you recommend so I can make it work without having to cut, trim, and no rubbing? Thanks in advance. And that truck of yours man is sick.
awesome video been watching a lot of ur videos lately this might be a dumb question but with ur 3-6 lift u can adjust it just like that? or does it take a little bit more work? thanks
2018 6.6 high country here. If I used cognito uppers control arms and keys, with Fox 2.0 all the way around on a 20x9 +18 no rear blocks, with 35’s wouldn’t that make the trimming and cutting the same as with your lift and blocks? I.E. yours lift 4” front 2”rear on 37’s Mine lift 2.5” front 0” rear on 35’s yae or nae? Think this makes sence🤔 thanks man nice build
A couple things from me, I have a 2015.5 Chevy 2500 with +20 offset with the same tires, I’m curious to know a measurement from the ground to the top of the fender well if you don’t mind. And also, I’m planning on putting a light bar behind the grill, what’s your opinion on getting the lens of the bar smoked to where it’ll be easier to hide?
Thanks Eddie! And if I have the ability to drop mine just a little more, to keep it level, all I would need to do is crank down on the torsion keys and get smaller blocks for the back?
Thanks for the help Eddie! Mine is sitting just under 42 inches right there. I’ll probably end up with an aftermarket bumper before to long so I’m curious to know if I’m going to have to trim on it. I still need to get her tuned tho, anyways, I appreciate the help brotha!
get a leveling kit that comes with upper control arms like zone and congrats you got 37s on but you had to sacifice poke aka 0 or positive offset wheels
Hi Eddie! Great video and awesome truck! I live in NH and we have a bumper height law of 30 inches from ground to the bottom of the frame rail that the bumper attaches. Any chance you could take a quick measure from ground to frame rail in the back for me? Trying to see how high I can go and still be legal here. I would really appreciate it!
Yo Eddie, your GMC is the sh$t. I myself bought a 2019 HD last year and I'm looking to lift it. I love your wheel style and tire size. What is the wheel size with offset and spacing? I did get the tire size on your video. Looks good and I'm gonna copy your style bro, much props on all your videos, you give an detailed explanation on your projects. I learned a lot from. Thanks bro👍👍
I'm ready to sell my 2015 2500hd because of the torsion bar suspension.. I did the new keys and YES it rides like shit, to the point of wanting the 1500 for coilovers or buying conversation kit to take out the bars. Talk about a rough ride I'm gonna give the lift idea a look.. thanks
Nice video Eddie, it was very informative!!! I need some ideas about my 2017 Z71 Chevy Tahoe 4x4 Midnight Edition SUV. I am looking for a 4.5 coil over lift and putting 33" tires and 20x10 wheels on it in the future... please give me some advice for this setup.
hell ya those r bad ass i have personally never lifted 1 but i like them just something to watch out for is if u want BDS coil kit they will only allow a 0 or negative offset and i did not want my tires to stick out that far
Eddie huge Fan! I purchased a 2017 Chevy 1500. How would I do a 1500 version of your truck stance? What offset do I need to get it flush to the fender with out spacers? Thanks I’m advance Eddie
Can you remove or relocate the DEF tank? If so, where do you put it and do they have any videos or do you have any advice. I have a 2018 2500HD with a BDS 4” lift with Fox shocks set to just a level
So if I have the def tank 37's on a 4" inch lift is a no go. Did you upgrade pitman/idler support or is it stock. If so either stock or not. How is the steering.
Eddie awesome looking truck. Been looking at all your videos great information and thanks. What lift kit are you running. I saw fox shocks with cst. I have a 2018 L5P
I have a 2017 Denali HD 2500 fully stock, including def and boards. I will be installing a Cognito 4-6 this weekend and would like to stay in the 4-5" range for ride quality and geometry. Do you think I could fit 37x12.5r20 on the stock wheels?
hey thanks for shareing, do you have a list of what you did and parts. Im trying to get this set up and they want to put on a 9in lift kit... I think im just going to do it my self on a 6in lift
Will this method work with a 2007 2500HD Classic with the 6.0 liter gas? im trying to fit 37's on 12.50 wide and 16.5 in rims. Any info helps. Thanks man
Just soo people knw, the more negative offset you have on your wheels the more cutting you have todo, soo for me for the same minimum trimming i had to do a 9in lift on negative 44 offset. 22x12
Awesome video! Did you make cuts to fit the CST lift? The CST website says no cutting or welding needed for the 3-6" lift. It looks like you have cuts above the crossmember. Thanks and keep them videos coming!
yes i cut the cross member to put theres on but u dont have to there is another route in the directions but i never read the directions haha and there is much better and it was so easy so install
Eddie, I know this is an old vid, but I have a 2017 2500hd and want to lift it 4 to 5 inches. What lift do you think is the best lift to go with? I know you have the cst. Is that what you would recommend?
How much did the cst lift push out the front end? I talked to bds they said with the 6.5 ntbd lift it pushes out the front end about 3/4 of inch. Is it about the same with the cst lift? Also somewhere in your videos you said the bds lift can’t run the 20x9 +18 but they said yes?
Hey Eddie I have a 2017 2500 chevy and I wanted to put the amp steps. But can the amp steps still work if you have the def tank still in place? What configuration would I need to get 1500? Thanks
yes they make the steps for your truck but u have to trim the plastic up front so it can clear the def tank and u can not get the 1500 steps with a def tank still attached to the truck u would have to go with the 2500 diesel model
Eddie I love your truck man. I have a 2018 Chevy 2500 and I reallocated the Def tank to my tool box. I want the amp steps to sit just like yours so if I just order steps for a 1500 they will work okay? Just making sure there's nothing else I need to order from Amp to make them work. Thx
Fucking preach, who the hell besides GM thought putting a round peg in a square hole along with hanging the def tank out Like candy for any kind of trash you might hit on the road.
I just jacked up my front end to check clearance and angles, very bad had mabe 1/2" on control arms and axle was at crazy angle. Anyone thinking about it jack your front end up and look first.
Eddie, I did a 4-6” cognito lift with 295/65/20 on my 2018 Denali Duramax. So I went from a level kit UCA, Fox shocks all the way around to the lift set at 4” and now when I make left hand turns my VSC activated until I pull out of the turn. Tires and rims are the same from level which I had no problem. What are your thoughts on the issue? The knuckles do push the stance out about 3/8 on each side. Let me know your thoughts.
Eddie's Life With the new trucks they have the computer locked down so I can’t adjust the tire size which I think would help. Did your lift push out the front stance of your truck?
37s don't work with a 4" lift, unless you completely gut out the wheel well. If you don't do major trimming it's going to rub. This set up has no turning radius. To put this into perspective, a 6" lift kit can 35s but you will need some moderate trimming.
Planning on getting a ‘18 Silverado 3500 srw and want to get black wheels for it and the biggest tires that will fit the stock truck. What should I be looking at? I like those method wheels but I don’t know what size I would need for a bone stock truck. Any recommendations on wheels and tires? Thanks a lot.
Eddie's Life Thank you Sir. What size wheels and tires would I be looking at to fit the stock truck? This is like learning a new language... I lease a half ton right now.
Henry Sodari he said leveling “kits” when he never even had a kit. Just bought the torsion keys and cranked up the torsion bars.... lucky he didn’t break axles. His knowledge on trucks is beginner level he just has $$$$
@@EddieLife3500 thanks so much Eddy. I would really love the 4"+ lift but here in canada lawenforcement are a pain and can put vehicle in inspection if lifted too much. Since a 4"or more lift require a subframe cutting that would pretty much put the truck unsellable. Thx Eddie love you vids
Very Cool Video Eddie.... Thanks Buddy. Question, I have an 2008 GMC 2500HD. It currently has a Cognito Lift and it's on 35" Tires W/20" Wheels. (Not sure of the Back Spacing?) In your Opinion, would you think I could fit 37's on it without having to Cut a bunch of stuff up? The old owner told me "NO WAY", But I can't see how going from 35's to 37's would be THAT BIG of a Difference?? Thanks for all the Great Content, Sir.

Eddie's Life same here man my favorite is Padron Cigars!
I also stick to my Cuban roots with Cohibas
shit u cant ever go wrong with a padron cigar thats my fac that 1 and the liga number 9s my top two
Hows your gas mileage with 37?
I did a 6" Trail Master,35/12.50/17 on my 1500 4x4.Im not sure about the offset but it is negative.Minimum trimming on the plastic and nothing else.Im really happy with it so far!it handles and rides a lot better too...surprising!
as long as u r happy with it thats all that matters
Square fenders were bigger back in the 70’s and 80’s, wish they kept them the same size

I fit 37s on my 1500 with 4 inch lift. It’s called a nor cal fender chop been doing this for years here in California.
I know it’s an old video, but that upper ball joint at 5:28 scares me! Lol

chevy was round fenders in early 70's and earlier and ford was square in the 80's for ford,
Very informative discussion. Just one question is the offset of your wheels? Awesome truck btw!

yes they make the steps for your truck but u have to trim the plastic up front so it can clear the def tank and u can not get the 1500 steps with a def tank still attached to the truck u would have to go with the 2500 diesel model
Thx
@@samdempsey2568 How did you relocate the DEF tank...tnx
That's a nice truck
Which 1500 steps did you get. Model number???
Fucking preach, who the hell besides GM thought putting a round peg in a square hole along with hanging the def tank out
Like candy for any kind of trash you might hit on the road.
Hey Eddie! Which CST lift is this one? Which stage
I just jacked up my front end to check clearance and angles, very bad had mabe 1/2" on control arms and axle was at crazy angle. Anyone thinking about it jack your front end up and look first.
What exact lift kit did you have? Can you drop a link ?
Eddie, I did a 4-6” cognito lift with 295/65/20 on my 2018 Denali Duramax. So I went from a level kit UCA, Fox shocks all the way around to the lift set at 4” and now when I make left hand turns my VSC activated until I pull out of the turn. Tires and rims are the same from level which I had no problem. What are your thoughts on the issue? The knuckles do push the stance out about 3/8 on each side. Let me know your thoughts.
Thats weird never herd of that before
Eddie's Life
With the new trucks they have the computer locked down so I can’t adjust the tire size which I think would help. Did your lift push out the front stance of your truck?
yes about an inch bc i went with a +18 offset and 13.50 wide tires
That means someone did a bad alignment.
If you would of got offset it would of rub. Sweet truck do it clean asf
thanks brotha
One more question. Are you Running a speedometer corrector? If not about how far off are the MPH with the 37's?
Thanks again man
stay tuned for that video
I'm asking about before it was regeared.
I’m going to lift my suburban 4 inches but I want it with bigger tires what size should I go
37s don't work with a 4" lift, unless you completely gut out the wheel well. If you don't do major trimming it's going to rub. This set up has no turning radius. To put this into perspective, a 6" lift kit can 35s but you will need some moderate trimming.
Did you have to re-gear to run the 37's?
no
Color match the chrome or make it gloss black.👌
ive been thinking about slapping some paint on the duramax
Nah, the chrome looks good
Can I get the link to the amp running boards you’ve got?
Planning on getting a ‘18 Silverado 3500 srw and want to get black wheels for it and the biggest tires that will fit the stock truck. What should I be looking at? I like those method wheels but I don’t know what size I would need for a bone stock truck. Any recommendations on wheels and tires? Thanks a lot.
i like methods with toys tires all the way
Eddie's Life Thank you Sir. What size wheels and tires would I be looking at to fit the stock truck? This is like learning a new language... I lease a half ton right now.
Thanks for saying key are not away to go did to my truck back in high school drive like shit and brand new part and saved money to do a lift
Henry Sodari he said leveling “kits” when he never even had a kit. Just bought the torsion keys and cranked up the torsion bars.... lucky he didn’t break axles. His knowledge on trucks is beginner level he just has $$$$
What tools did you use to cut the carpet and fender or bumper ?
I use a Dremel
Hey Eddie how much was your set up? I have a 2017 Silverado L5P
im not sure i did a bunch of stuff all at once
Hello, I have a GN 2500 with a 6 'lift I want to change the wheel and I'm watching your video and I like that combination, is 20x10?
20x9
Eddie's Life so these are 20x9. What’s the offset? I like how little tire sticks out from the fenders.
Do a video on your razor i want tp see it
u got it brotha i will
Hey can you still haul over 10k lbs with this set up???or would you be rubbing
Hauls it no problem
does it have to be a cst lift kit to do this setup because i want a bds and i want my truck to have a bit of stance (tires sticking out)
no you can get the BDS i just did not want BDS because you can only put a 0 or negative offset on there setup
y like your truck GMC🤙🏻🤙🏻 no LIFTED TRUCK ARE COOLER 👍🏻👍🏻
hey do you think you can make a list of all the parts for your suspension/Wheel setup? i want the same type of look...

its the full walk around of the truck
Hey man awesome truck I have a 2017 l5p that I am waiting to run 37s with the factory wheels is there any way I can do this
no you would need rims and lift the truck at least 6 Inches
Factory wheels are for old guys.
Hey Eddie what is the benefit of having the reservoirs on your fox shocks and what is the cost on those?
its just more oil to keep the shock cooler and dont remember the cost
Dude your worthless lol. I looked up the price and read about them pimpin. Double the price of the Fox 2.0s. Now go shave. Lol

@Elias Velasquez
Hi Eddy. I have a 18 Denali L5P do you think with a ready lift 3.5 lift kit 35's would fit ?
yes but u mite have to do some minor trimming
@@EddieLife3500 thanks so much Eddy. I would really love the 4"+ lift but here in canada lawenforcement are a pain and can put vehicle in inspection if lifted too much. Since a 4"or more lift require a subframe cutting that would pretty much put the truck unsellable. Thx Eddie love you vids
Are the wheels 9 or 10 wide? What offset?
What stage kit did you get? Thx!
i dont remember but it was the the kit that came with fox 2.0 with Res
I know im a bit late but how wide are your rims?
20x9
What are the part number for your shocks??? Will it work for a 4.5 lift?
no idea man been a wile i would just call fox they will lead you in the wright direction
Very Cool Video Eddie.... Thanks Buddy. Question, I have an 2008 GMC 2500HD. It currently has a Cognito Lift and it's on 35" Tires W/20" Wheels. (Not sure of the Back Spacing?)
In your Opinion, would you think I could fit 37's on it without having to Cut a bunch of stuff up? The old owner told me "NO WAY", But I can't see how going from 35's to 37's would be THAT BIG of a Difference?? Thanks for all the Great Content, Sir.
Thanks man and no u will have to trim a little bit fer sure
Right on Eddie.... Thanks for the Response's & Help you always give your Subs! Much Appreciate it.
