Good job Kara! I’m an old bmxer and sometimes I pull up with my arms over a GAP instead of using my legs, oh well crashes happen. Practice, practice practice, got to!
I actually saw you jumping these bigger gaps in Sam's recent video and I was like, "look at Kara go!" So impressive to see your progress and lately it's been accelerating. The advice you give here is so good! Extremely good pointers and talking about the safe way to evolve up to it. Negative comments are like the gap in a jump. Just ignore them and send it! 😉
Kara, Boom! Thank you for making this video! Also you are awesome, just wanted to encourage you in what you are doing. Stay positive, keep having fun. You are fearfully and wonderfully made - Psalm 139. - Rachel
I find this video as the most convincing video for a rider who is in the process of progressing and willing to get over the fear of gap jumps. Well done Kara!!!!!! Thanks for all that advise...... You did amazing as always ...... Ride Safe!!!!
That was very well done and you made it fun. Also you did a great job of letting us into your head to think about the fear aspect and what techniques can be used to conquer that fear
Awesome Kara ... Great example of PMA! You'll be a great life coach - gapping on MTB is no different to sadly the mental blocks some people have with more basic things in life
Kara, well done! Bravo! My knee and ankle look fine now and after your video I'm really into finally try this scary line with gaps!))))) Wish just not to end up again at the hospital :))) last time I visited Twisted Oaks did not go well hahaha))) This is so inspiring Kara, many thanks for what you do for us! Progressing together with you!
Hey Hot Shot. Kara. Look;) when my buddy and I would go Brook jumping or jumping from one thing to another Pedro would call my Mother names to get me mad then I'd take the leap... It used to work. Fair enough he was better high gaps. Crazy looking back right. I love your visualisation method. Good to see you. You look good! Have a See it Send it, sesh. From Craig.
Took me a while to get over fear of gap jumps, but now I’m having fear of hitting “pro lines” at the bike parks. Oddly when I roll into them I feel like I will have no problem getting over them, but just chicken out the second I hit the lip. (Usually a big wood ramp). Long ago I had a bad crash on a larger ramp and that’s constantly in the back of my mind which doesn’t help. It’s annoying though because my riding feels much better than before and I’ve gotten more confidence doing tricks over medium size gap jumps and I’d really like to go bigger. I’ll probably try it some time this week at my local bike park and then be upset at myself for not doing it sooner, like every other jump line I’ve gotten over.
Session badger until you can CLEAR that table! Its absolutely fine to case it a bit! it's perfect for learning to boost a bit and getting some confidence being high in the air!
Fantastic video Kara thanks for the advice on your way of getting over your fear. I will try your advice on my drops that I’m in the process of learning then after that is gap jumps which I’m so not looking forward to at all. Looking forward to watching your next video Kara
Damn Kara, you don't half ramble on😂 . Love watching your development though and really proud of you. My thoughts however go out to Tom because if you talk so much at home, I pity the guy☺️
Actually love this video because of the chat... I'm similar skill level to 2021 Kara and I want to be able to make gaps! There's a local gap line near me and even tho I miss twisted oaks I'm deffo gonna remember that I don't have to do every single jump in a row I can practice on one!
Towing in is great... But its not just speed on jumps, but how much they pop... If they pop a lot more than u, and u go the same speed, ur not making it!

You're such an inspiration for women Kara!
Loved seeing you smash that wooden whale tail without even considering it. Your progression has been fantastic!

❤️ Thank you. This helped with the confidence and fear. I still worry about my tyre's slipping away from me though. I wish I had jumps in my area.
Those gaps look so scary! You're so inspiring to other women who are learning to jump! 🥰🥰

I remember hitting my first „big“ double, such great memories

Conditions are huge factor, Windhill Empuru with a head wind meant a lot of casing on the big (left) side when before I have cleared fine.

You make it look so easy 😅
Great, honest advice and great progress.
You give me confidence
💯 This helped
Great video Kara. It really does make sense and knowing how far you have come in your riding, you're honestly speaking from experience.
good Kara
Kay jay is fucking gnarly. That's how she learned how to do gap jumps.
The cllouds looks great 😍 r.s
6:35 - you can say that to yourself, but then your head tells you something else 🫣☺
Glad you caught yourself saying “one more time” then corrected it 👌
Haha realised as I said it!

Hahaha 😂 yeah I do love a chat! Although Tom is just as bad 😜
