I mean they are already very popular in Japan, but they just don't do too much to expand their audience in the west. I honestly don't mind it tho, they've been my most listened artist for 2 years now
Mashle was one of the best mangas I read last year and the show was pretty well done. A lot of fun.
I read a little bit for the Manga of the Year stream a couple years back and never got back into it. I might have to now!

The squeaky bed sound is from the song "some cut" by Trillville, which was what was used in the Etika intro you mentioned.
Nowadays that sound effect is used in a lot of songs with the style named "Jersey Club" which this opening can be applied to.
Honestly I love mashle season 1 was so great very funny and season 2 is looking even better the animation is good in mashle a-1 pictures did their thing just like with solo leveling. Well obviously mashle is not as high profile show but still has some nice looking animation when it needs it in fights and overall a good ascetic

Creepy Nuts is a band that’s been around for a while, but are new to making anime OPs. The only other one they worked on was for the show Call of the Night, which was also a great OP and Ed

If you want to hear more Creepy Nuts you should react to the opening and ending of Call of the Night. The series itself was named after their song which was used for the ED.
For someone who has read all the manga and watched the anime, I can say that the adaptation is serviceable. It does the comedic moments justice, and the action animation is alright, though from the Season 2 trailers it seems that the animation might improve. Either way I would say its worth checking it out!

Dude you should definitely check out the anime, mashle soundtrack has a lot of hiphop influence in it and its actually really well made i love the soundtrack alot, and i think you'll also enjoy the series cuz it's basically just harry potter without magic LOL

Ngl, the first op of mashle is very medicore. Nothing to praise about.
But this 2nd opening oozes with mashle vibes and energy that i got from reading the manga. It's fun and entertaining, it never took itself so seriouslly unlike the first op which give out a very different Vibe of what the show is all about.
Known about Mashle, never watched it, but this opening does exactly what an opening should do, make you want to watch the actual show. More anime should take notes, instead of wasting idk how much money from a budget to make a song everyone skips anyway.

The first opening of Mashle is very forgettable and quite generic, we were clearly not expecting them to pop off with this as we begin a new year. There has been quite a big shift in the quality of openings. Before they would use a song that would be released later on, with unrelatable lyrics but now they purposely have lyrics about the show or characters. I just wish they would use more underground, up-and-coming artists for mainstream shows too instead of most popular all the time.
Creepy Nuts is formed by a rapper and DJ who both won competitions, maybe they will do more Ops after the success of this one.
