  • Could Kabuto beat Kakashi in Naruto part 1? Kakashi and Kabuto were always said to be around the same level in Naruto part 1, this started during the Naruto Chunin Exams when Kakashi vs Kabuto happened in the hospital as Kabuto threatened Sasuke. Kabuto vs Kakashi was short, they had a brief Taijutsu exchange, and Kabuto used his substitution jutsu to flee.
But what if Kabuto and Kakashi fought for real in Naruto part 1? Kakashi with his Raikiri and Sharingan, and Kabuto with his chakra scalpels and medical ninjutsu. Who would actually win? Let's analyze who would win this Naruto VS Battle looking at their feats in Naruto part 1, using Kakashi vs Zabuza, Kabuto vs Tsunade, Kakashi vs Itachi, and other fights.

Depends on how you look at it, kakashi warps full 8 tails with some kyubi chakra. A lot earlier he warps deidara’s arm. He has the capability to warp high speed projectiles so, warping even a perfect sage isn’t out the question. Kakashi can win but if he fails once kabuto will most likely not allow him to try again.

Kakashi stagnated HARD after Rin and obito’s death

    • @flight_knight_
      @flight_knight_ 11 месяцев назад +1

@@Est_1.997 That's an overstatement. It's not a massive boost. The specific scene of Kakashi training in part 1 is only referring to the difference in power at the start of part 1 to the end of part 1 (which isnt big either) because he also trains during the timeskip and that's his main training/growth. His training during the timeskip with MS would explain the difference in Part 1 and 2 (Even then its not massive until the war arc). He doesn't move up in tiers of power and stays relatively the same. In part 1 Kakashi can be measured vs Itachi where he gets one shot, then comes back and combos to stalemate a 30% clone of itachi. Minor improvement at best, minor fail at worst. In In part 1 Orochimaru is 2v1 vs Sanin. Kakashi had no chance vs Orochimaru in Part 1 and wouldnt in early part 2 either. (Pt 2 weakened Oro vs 4 tails, Jiraiya also faced that Naruto, Kakashi needs Yamato to supress Naruto, he stopped 2 tails tho) The rock climbing scene just shows he is more focused, not that he's "stronger" or "amped" just like when he fought Zabuza or Itachi. He lost the first encounters but came back more focused and improved and prepared. In terms of stats/jutsu the training scene doesnt mean anything. That's why after the timeskip we know he is stronger because he says he has a new jutsu and more stamina to use it. Even after the time skip he isnt massively "stronger" stat wise tho until the war arc when he fights Madara and Obito who are leagues above anyone else he has faced (except maybe itachi but he was sick).

I think the battle would be a lot closer than what you're giving it credit for. The win condition for Kabuto isn't a direct fight and quick kill, but rather to burn Kakashi out of stamina/chakra. He's smart enough to figure that out quickly enough in the fight too. He's shown that he's really good at the midrange, keeping others at bay and keeping himself from taking blows that are too lethal. So the question here is really about how long can Kabuto keep Kakashi at bay before either Kakashi figures out the game plan and creates a blitz strategy to defeat it, or he loses too much chakra to defend against any more tricks. Kabuto doesn't have to be as powerful, he just needs to be powerful enough.

There’s one thing I would have put more emphasis on in Kakashi favor, which is: the sharingan. It’s easy to forget, but makes this a *near* guaranteed victory for Kakashi. The sharingan is abursdly difficult to beat when you’re just on the ‘same level’ as your opponent, because they can see every attack coming before you do it which gives them an extreme edge in any battle with an opponent of the same caliber. To beat the sharingan you need to have hax, or be a considerable level above the person wielding it.

Out of nearly everyone else in this franchise, Kabuto fights using his cunning and resourcefulness, not just hax genetic power. This is how he outmaneuvered Kakashi and Tsunade. Kakashi always relies in raw power granted by the Sharingan, much like Tsunade relies on her super strength.

Yeah, he bailed. The same guy also faced off against a Sennin and managed to outwit her. Since Kabuto is technically Orochimaru's apprentice as well, I'd say that makes him at very least an even match to Kakashi in terms of skills and talent if not, once again, the raw power granted by Sharingan. Most of Kakashi's victories are a mix of his intelligence and his Sharingan, but the part doing most of the fight is his Sharingan, which he also can't use very often because it leaves him nearly incapacitated for a week. I'm analysing characters based on their powers, talents and skils. I started my first reply agreeing with you, but pointing out Kabuto tends to display more cunning than Kakashi. No one here said ANYTHING about any headcanon, but you clearly are very sensitive about YOURS.
This is just my opinion based on facts, and I don't fucking care if you like it or not. Deal with it.

I’m shocked that no one has mentioned this point, but kabuto also needed to use a ninja food pill to fight tsunade as proficiently as he did. Which kinda emphasises even more the gap in strength. Although kabuto is extremely talented and a prodigy just like kakashi, kakashi still has years of experience, a slightly higher iq, and a much more versatile arsenal over kabuto. A well-made video. And I agree with the verdict. Still, there are a couple of things that I think need to be addressed.
6:35 If you want to bring Tsunade's mental state, you should've also acknowledged the factors working against Kabuto. He was not fighting to kill, his objective was to immobilize Tsunade and force her to heal Orochimaru's hands. And the only reason Tsunade was even able to land the hit that scrambled Kabuto's nervous system was that he literally closed his eyes and started to gloat. Immediately after that he even admitted that he was taking her too lightly.
8:57 Orochimaru hit Kakashi with his fear hax only after tricking Kakashi into a false sense of security by pretending to retreat, we can see Kakashi relaxing to the point of deactivating Raikiri. We also have the statement from the official fanbook stating that "anyone going up against Kakashi risks death". "Anyone" includes Orochimaru.
14:06 Funnily enough, Kakashi still performed better against Itachi than Orochimaru has. Where Orochimaru got shafted by Itachi's base Sharingan genjutsu, Kakashi managed to push Itachi into using Tsukuyomi in order to end the fight quickly (all while carrying Asuma and Kurenai's fodder asses).
Their hospital confrontation is already pretty telling. Kabuto needed extensive prep time, and a hostage to give a rusty Kakashi (with a covered Sharingan) a successful slip. Yikes.

Yeah, it's pretty well established that Shadow Clone is an extremely Chakra-intensive technique. In fact, I do not believe we see ANYONE in the entire Show, other than Naruto who is using Nine Tails chakra for it - use more than 4 Shadow Clones at a time. Even Kage's only use a single digit number of Shadow Clones because of how much they can't afford to waste Chakra in this manner. Kakashi who is very well established to have a low amounts of Chakra simply couldn't produce dozens of Shadow Clones when he is already exhausted from a fight (and by exhausted I mean he literally has to stay in the hospital bed because he is so tired from the amount of Chakra used in the fight)

Yes I know what it says, I just remember in perhaps another translation and the context of it, Kakashi couldn’t actually produce that many Shadow clones; especially since he was fatigued and he thought to himself about it when he saw Naruto do it. But since he was only doing it to intimidate all the Mercenaries on the bridge, he just used the regular clone jutsu to save Chakara and because they wouldn’t know the difference.

    • @Oznerock

Didn't kill Kabuto, Orochimaru straight up slaughtered one guy and all he did was ask if Orochimaru was okay. Until he starts fighting, knowing Kabuto can straight up slice your heart in half inside your chest , with little more then a small strike should be seen as very frightening. Thats what makes his character so Genius in my op. Cause nothing about him would make you think hes dangerous at first glance. Kabuto is a great fold to Orochimaru in this sense. Orochimaru screams "I will kill you" in his appearance the creepy smile and laugh. Menacing voice, especially in his first encounter with Team 7 while he was in DISGUISE mind you. Not even really knowing who he was, until the end of his fight with Sasuke and later fighting Anko. Then Kabuto looks like an average joe. But every bit just as deadly as Orochimaru in a sense. I think the trope of Kabuto since the beggining was that hes really High iq and skill
And thats how hes outsmart kakashi in first place
It would be aweoesome to see him betray Orochimaru in the first part and become more of a true villain for himself and not just end like just a pawn
With all the killing Sasuke part felt like "ok im going to kill Sasuke and betray orochimaru....but now that i think maybe i could just become a even more loyal pawn for him"... like wtf?

It could have been a retcon if Kishimoto has done it but I’ve just had a thought that Kabuto was planning on taking Orochimaru’s body (implanting his cells into his own body) from the beginning. Like look at the events: Kabuto’s trying murdering Sasuke, Kabuto’s spying on Oro for Akatsuki (Ik in the manga it was supposed to be unwillingly but anyways, it’s just a what if), and later on, Kabuto reveals that he actually did steal Oro’s cells and was using it for power up

It might have also just been triggering to Kakashi that, for the second time, someone intentionally jumped infront of his Chidori, almost in the exact same manner Rin did, just to then see Zabuza about to actually try to cut through his partner that just gave their life for him

Kakashi started training to get himself back to where he was before because he had grown weaker from what he was in the anbu. He noticed that everybody was catching up to the current version of him so he needed to keep improving. It wasn’t just kabuto it was everything he had been seeing throughout the arc.

I'm not saying that to bee annoying, I just really like the implications the whole studying to improve lee chances have to Tsunade character.

Would you consider doing 7th gate Might Guy vs 4th Raikage
    Who's the most powerful?
I mean the raikage has the advantage in terms of Durability because the Chidori of Sasuke wasn't able to city through His skin (just a bit).
But Might Guy may have better attack potency.
The main issue for guy would be the speed advantage. I don't think the raikage speedblitzes Guy but he Is certainly maybe Faster.

What most people never realize about Kakashi’s time in the beginning with team 7 is that he was rusty af. Ever since he became a Jonin at like 11-12 ish he joined the anbu after Obito (he didn’t) and Rin died. He was still in the anbu even after Minato died, lets not forget that every team he was assign to failed his bell test. Long story short Anbu Kakashi was hitting all enemies perfectly with Chidori without hand seals to perform it meanwhile to fight Zabuza and anybody else he had to do hand seals or put in more effort to fight.

Long story short, Kakashi beats Kabuto even without the sharingan

  • @jeremygeorgia4943

According to the dialogue, they are ABOUT the same level, which doesn't necessarily mean it's definitive. Whenever they were compared, the assessments were guesses, made by those that didn't have direct knowledge of both characters' abilities. However, with that in mind, if we accept that they might be equal in power and basic ability, Kakashi has far more experience. We eventually learn that Kakashi was a bit like an Uchiha, in that he made training a part of his everyday lifestyle - even from the youngest of age. Kabuto didn't really start training until Danzo took him in. Now, we can add the Sharingan into the mix.
Kakashi received the Sharingan, and taught himself over a thousand jutsus. It should be pointed out, that he seems to know Zabuza's myst jutsu. He could use that and his sense of smell, or even his hounds again. If Kabuto can be restrained by Naruto holding on to his arm, then certainly a pack of ninja hounds can hold him. He knows Earth style techniques, and water style techniques, that can shake the ground and greatly inconvenience Kabuto. However, we can't forget that Kakashi is VERY fast, once he uses his lightning blade.
I think that Kakashi has a bit of a mental nerf as well. I think this could explain how he ended up getting so powerful, in Shippuden. He has PTSD, and isn't as eager to fight as he used to be. That might also be why he kept failing the teams that he was assigned to train. When he is in battle &/or is protecting those he cares about, he does what is necessary. I think some of his early stamina issues were partially mental and partially because he stopped training as hard. As for War Arc Kakashi & Kabuto, that's not as interesting. That version of Kabuto was designed as a final boss, with an Itachi shaped weakness.

I think part one naruto, for the most part, can't really be power scaled. The world felt very balanced and a lot of the victories, even the one one's in this video, were largely tactical and circumstantial. I feel like that was made part one so good. There weren't many fights where the winner was just who hits harder. A lot of them came down to who will be the first to exploit or create a weakness in their opponent

Kabuto reminded Kakashi that he was really rusty after the depression nerf - losing his conviction as a shinobi. He was reminded who his prime self was, a shinobi that serves the leaf. Thats why Kakashi trained for a bit. But to say Kabuto is stronger is…a little of a stretch. They’re somewhat equal, SOMEWHAT. Kakashi has more battle experience, and as well as Kabuto. But Kakashi has one thing, and thats the sharingan. And the amount of times he probably copied not even ninjutsu, but taijutsu to be flexible and adapt to people’s combat is what Kakashi the true winner.

Kabuto is more of a stealthy spy master, who excels in medical ninjutsu and this knowledges greatly benefited his assassination and combat skills. Where as Kakashi is more of warrior oriented ninja from the get go. His jutsu and skills are better suited for open attacks and combat. Kakashi's knowledge of fighting and being veteran of one of the Shinobi World Wars allowed him to excel in stealth missions and assassination missions while in Anbu. He knew how to sneak around and which jutsu could provide fatal hits without raising suspicion. In a sense both Kakashi and Kabuto represent two different areas of the Ninja warrior structure Naruto setup. With Kabuto being more fit for the actual definition of a Ninja and Kakashi being more of the warrior type but able to fit into the same role as Kabuto if need be.
