Rule number 1 of gun safety. Never point a gun at anything you do not want to destroy.
Number 1 rules is to never give a gun to a nut job like this guy.
Precisely!!!!!!
Yes he destroyed that kid.
But he wanted to destroy what he pointed his gun at
In 2022, the city of Dallas dedicated a 6 foot bronze statue in honor of Santos. The statue is located at Pike Park in Dallas. RIP Santos Rodriguez
Thank you for sharing that with us. I wasn’t aware of this story or the fact that there’s a statue remembering Santos Rodriguez. I Googled it and saw the statue. How sad.
What kind of person points a gun at a kid and pulls the trigger to intimidate him?!? I don’t care that the boys weren’t perfect, they were just kids. 😢
They're "just kids" until they grow up and break into someone's house, committing rape, or a hone invasion a la George Floyd.
A worthless twerp😮
That's easy, it's someone that has used that tactic and worked. He probably did the very same thing on multiple occasions to many other people and it made them tell him what he wanted to know.
Exactly. He was a racist.
He should have been arrested and gone to jail. The system is so corrupt and the police wonder why people don’t want to deal with them. So sad 😢
I shoplifted when I was a kid and when my dad found out he gave me an ass whooping.
VERY SAD!!!! That police officer broke every gun safety rule!! That lost soul paid the price. Thank You Lamont, safe travels! RIP Santos
@cvbluegrasspatriot - With a Handle like that, you have to be from Kentucky, right?!
@Liberty GiveMe 😮😊
@Liberty GiveMe
Paid the price? He died free and old.
@@libertygiveme1987And your point is?
He knew exactly what he was doing. And that demon wouldn't even take any accountability for his actions. And that is why he kept appealing. A 5 year sentence was very lenient.
He’s complaining about not getting a fair trial but murder a 12 year old boy unbelievable!
Oh yeah that's the way they are sister even develop a law to protect themselves from their own evil ways it's called qualified immunity. 🧐
Whining cause he got caught.
I can't believe that the idiot cop only served two years in prison. Horrible miscarriage of justice
This officer was out of his mind
Everyone isn't responsible. So when you give an irresponsible person responsibilities that require good judgment and awareness. Wait for it
Your Correct he went postal temporarily did he regret what he did NOPE do i understand what he did yes i do understand why he did it and by chance was he a vietnam veteran and suffering from PSD ???? again you are not hearing the whole story
Yup he did Big Time
@@junglekutz5625 that's an excellent description of reality 😂
I thought the officers job was just to arrest them and bring them in to be charged, this is disgusting 😢🙏🏽
Thank you for telling Santos story it needed to be told RIP Santos
This officer needed to be fired long before this horrendous incident! RIP Santos.🙏 Note: Whether they were there or not...they were mistreated and their rights stomped on by law enforcement!
💔💔💔💔
A 12 year old boy... I don't believe that they were in the goddamn gas station...
No….their rights were stomped on by one bad officer.
We had just moved to Cedar Hill 8 days prior to this shooting. Was too young to know about it, but I’m sure my parents knew. RIP to Santos Rodríguez.
What he wants is to get by with murder no wonder I don't trust the law you're a cop you can kill somebody in Cold blood and get by if you are made was accidentally shoot somebody weed be in prison for life
I hope that you moved out of that hellhole!
@@barneyronnieyou think it was a hello hole because of one killing?
So sad! Great video! I did shoplift once, when my mom found out, she walked me into the store and stood there while I returned it and apolgized. I was 7, never stole anything again! You are right, children need good parental figures! Keep up the great work ajnd stay safe!
We were in High School when my School mates taught me to shop lift. They stole and immediately ran away and I was the last one to be in the store thinking "should I steal or no?" One of my School mate came back and told me "Don't be stpid get it and get out of there!" I was panicking I took a chocolate and ran away. Since that day I never went close to those mates thinking they'll tell me to do something bad again. Glad they dropped out of School and we never met again*
Same exact thing happened to me when I was about 5 and mom made me apologize. That was the day I learned stealing was wrong. Stole some darn candy...smh
Their fingerprints weren't even found at the store so what does you shoplifting have to do with this? Nothing
Good grief, what was the cop thinking.
Even if they were guilty of stealing from the gas station that did not justify the cop killing Santos Rodriguez. That was a sad story.
Don't think he felt to bad about it if he was trying to fight the 5 year sentence.
5 years back then was a big deal. There was this period between the 30s and 80s were American sentencing was just pathetic
Committing a crime does not warrant an immediate death sentence. A person is given due process and found guilty by a jury and given a sentence by a judge. Cops should not behave as judge, jury, and executioner. Deadly force is only justified if the perp is actively trying to kill or harm them. Period.
the officer could of said he was trying to kill me with diabetes buy thowing candy at him and people back then would still think its ok to use deadly force back then
But honey, for centuries they have not live by the laws that they have implemented till this very day. Even implementing such as qualified immunity, what kind of just society would even allow such a law declaring that they will kill without recourse.
Yeah cause the justice system works great
Same for the public. Today, society is just as bad. Societal idiots call for death to anyone they dont agree with or like.
Qualified immunity has spread throughout government agencies like wildfire
Very sad to hear of a life lost in this way. 💔
Oh my gosh; every story is always so heartbreaking. Be careful out there Lamont and have a happy Memorial Day. ❤️
They should have filled a wrongful death suit against him and the department. I have to disagree with Lamont. Their upbringing has nothing to do with Ann adults stipulations decision to unnecessarily take a child's life.
Yes indeed thank goodness I'm not the only one he must be out of his rabbit a## mine too insinuate that the kids upbringing was bad when they were in bed and was snatched away being kidnapped and taken to a place to execute this has been the White society has dealt with minorities especially African-American that were taken out of there home's and hung from trees or even worse dismembering their body parts. Look at the kangaroo Court they had realistically they did not even desire to allow him to sit in jail for a day. I don't want to sound racist but why do merica has a sickness that is far beyond one individual because no one seeks Justice. You just don't have a hard for humanity outside of themselves completely dehumanizing others while saying the whole Christian value is beyond my comprehension. Sadly nothing has changed this is still happening modern time look at Breonna Taylor shot Dead sleeping in her own bed and to many others to even name and the same process shielding themselves from the very laws that they put on the book holding no responsibility for the crimes.😞❓
@@blackdiamond306 Hello racist. Everything is Whitey's fault. Breonna was dating a dope dealer and a had a murdered person in the trunk of a car that she rented so you left out a lot of facts race hustler.
Someone didn't hear what Lamont, he never blamed the upbringing for what happened. He said the boys were known to be troublemakers because they had no one really there to guide them.
People didn't file those lawsuits back then. Now, the attorneys jump on a chance for a lawsuit. It really doesn't do any good but the lawyers make tons of money.
There are crooked LE officers all over the USA, now. Just wait til they are outed. Really, it's all over the world because there are bad people everywhere...for power and money.
So them kids hold no responsibility for there actions
I'm 62 years old now and I remember this like it was yesterday. Viva la RaZa!
Rest in peace Santos 🙏
This is unbelievable, they only gave him a 5 year sentence and he only served 2 years, and that scum bag cop goes on to live a normal life.
I hope the most high will remember him on judgement day and give him the judgement he should have received when he murdered that
innocent boy.
different time.. as he stated the prison system was over crowded etc
I heard of it, I lived in Dallas at the time and it got a lot of attention in the metroplex anyway. I had just graduated from college and my first job was driving a cab in that area.
I remember when this happened I lived a few blocks from there.
Worst thing ever was giving these criminal cops "Qualified Immunity". Now even if they are on camera shooting a handcuffed non resisting subject in the back, they walk free or only get a couple years.
Yes indeed it is basically a way to terrorize minorities most subject African-American the justice system isn't just. I rather relocate to another country then sit and be a Target treated less than a animal.
What a terribly sad story. Sounds that officer probably should have been fired before this ever happened.
These officers had poor judgment 😢
Oh that's what you called kidnapping and terrorism 🥴
May the cop b burn in hell I remember the incident
that gunshot scared me not gonna lie
Me too!
Sad to say but this type of stuff still happening 😢
Yeah, now it's on a grand scale. God has to intervene to fix it, now. People don't fear anything. They don't value themselves.
Very sad for Santos!!!😢 Thank you for sharing this story. You are right I never heard of this story. I was born in 1974 and never was told of this story 😢😢
Poor baby boy God have mercy on all who are left to grieve this great loss and all involved!
Tell you something the grievance is quite large reason why I know because I am an African-American and anytime we see Injustice it cuts us all very deep and it does not go away we all are suffering from trauma each and every day watching the outcome of terrorism on the African-American community. While so often that the terrorists walk free.
@@blackdiamond306 simple strat clear of trouble makers and questionable activities! Why do people run the streets and then wonder why they get in trouble?
HEY LETS GO OUT AND RUN AROUND! BEST ANSWER: NO, GO AWAY & NEVER COME BACK! BUT NO ONE EVER DOES THIS, THEY OPT FOR TROUBLE THEN QUESTION THE OUTCOME!
I DID shoplift ONE time for candy when 5 years old, with cousin, my dad made me apologize to manager (very humiliating), I never shoplifted again, young age makes strong impression, then stole cuz idiot girl at 6 years old stole flower in garden, again made to apologize to owner, NEVER stole again. my dad great parent & example great video ty
Back then (the first story), shooting a fleeing felon was legal and within policy.
I think he was sorry he got caught and his buddy couldn't cover up the mishap.
Lamont actually stepped up his game on the stories . They are longer ect.ect good job buddy 💯
Rip santos a young life taken too soon 😢😢😢😢
His mother wasn't there for him while he was alive, but she made sure she got 'credit' for being his mother (permanently) on his headstone. 🙄
If he admitted guilt the hell with him getting a fair trial he should have got the death penalty
Never heard of Santos, but I didn't live in Texas in the 70's either. Such a tragic and needless death, and to harass and dehumanize a 12 year old child because of suspicion of a robbery - no excuse what that cop did. . And the fact he and his brother's prints weren't even at the crime scene. And yes, he and his brothers were sweating probably because their uncle didn't have A/C at the house. RIP Santos.
I thought I’ve heard it all but maybe not. Thanks for keeping us informed Lamont .
So true
Hello Lamont, like your videos . Thanks and keep up the good work
So sad....be safe out there Lamont. Happy Memorial day.....
Omg I remember that news reporter. I didn’t remember the story. Thanks Lamont for this video.
I can't imagine a police officer even thinking about doing something like that's crazy!
You must don't live in America
@@blackdiamond306 as a matter of fact i do, this is a rare case though I've never heard of anything else like that happening
Must've had watched too much of Clint Eastwood's "Dirty Harry!"
Thank you for bringing these people who lost their lives into our lives.
Lamint
That was a sad story!😢 RIP little man!!
Safe travels Lanont!!
I went to jail for shoplifting when i was in my late teens. Manager of the store grabbed me by the shoulder and that's when police took me to the station lol. All over one alcoholic beverage and some gums. Had no clue about this story, sad and horrific.
Hey buddy how about NOT stealing
@@user-ml3dp9hq7o too late but thanks for the advice!
Everyone knows in their heart it's wrong to steal.
@@user-ml3dp9hq7okids grow and learn.
Right on Lamont. That's great vintage footage that you added as well. I like when you go to the scene to do the stories..
Keep Up the Good Work, Lamont..
This was heartbreaking. Watched a video a year ago where Dallas Police apologized to his mom and a statue was put up in Santos' honor at Pike Park....
Yes very sad.thanks for sharing. Hey Dallas Texas glad you get there. Thanks Lamonte.
Love these videos. Thanks Lamont
Very said story, but thank you for sharing. May he rest in peace. Take care
Very sad,,alot of senseless killings back in the day.😮
What about the senseless robbing?
@Crazycountryboy what about the senseless idea to point the gun at the kid just for a robbery
@@irons1141 how about the senseless robbery? How about the senseless running away!? How about the senseless robberies they had previously already done. What about the senseless actions of not listening to the cops? This is ALL their fault. If they were still around they would have stole again guaranteed. This saved people from being stolen from .
@@irons1141 you comment just for a robbery like it's no big deal.
@@Camille-mv3mr yes true , I forgot that
R.I.P Santos Rodriguez. Fasly Accused, killed for no reason.
Thanks for the upload Lamont... You stay safe out there♥️🙏🏽♥️

Really enjoy your stories Lamont. Stay save.
Love what you do Lamont you da man stay safe God Bless you sir keep em coming

This is just awful 😢. Poor little soul . Happy travels sir x thankyou for your videos .
Excellent video. RIP Santos.
That is so heartbreaking 💔 😢
Thank You Lamont for your stories. ❤
Omg nothing to take a life over.
This is one of the saddest stories ever. When there is a child involved, it’s never good.
Who the hell pulls a gun on 2 handcuffed kids in a cop car!!!???? Unexcusable!! That cop should of rotted in prison!!
See cops always have been protected from the start
Poor boy, he would have been a year older than me, if he'd lived.
I been binge watching your videos. You're just that damn good.
I respect u for doing these stories 🙏🏼
Thank you for being a voice for Santos, Lamont 🫂
So sad to watch your brother being killed!!
Can you imagine how those construction workers feel, knowing what went down at that gas station back in the day?
Also, it's hard to believe that next month marks the 50th anniversary of this shooting. I hope David is at peace with what happened to his brother all those years ago.
Im suprise the brothers didn't whop hes ass later
Dude , great sound effect added in . you got my attention . Bone chilling .
Thanks Lamont✌
Poor kid, he would have been 62 years old by now. So awful. That copper should have been in prison for life without parole. Disgusting!! Thanks for another great vid, Lamont. 😡😡
Did they ever find out the truth on who robbed the gas station
Great video. Very sad case. The fact that he died FREE is a sickening one.
Absolutely shameful. Suspended pending termination? He should have been arrested and detained without bail.
So sad. That officer was playing with the boys life I personally believe it was a fun game for the officer not actually knowing where the bullet was on the barrel he definitely got his kicks from the murder. Here in the UK it's either murder which is intent or manslaughter which of course is the opposite. I know the boys messed up a few times but maybe this time they were innocent. Not enough time served for taking a life. Thanks for sharing this sad story lamont love from West Yorkshire UK 🇬🇧 💙💚
Thank you once again, Lamont, your videos are excellent!! One can tell that you take time to properly research each case so your presentation is both interesting and factual. Must cost you a ton in gas tho! Thanks again!
Wow. good one Lamont !
i hope his family sued them for wrongful death
Someone needed to give him a dirt nap. He should’ve been sentenced to life at the very least. Makes me sick. I’m gonna find his grave…..
Lamont have a Happy Memorial Day weekend!
Thanks Lamont for the autograph on ur sticker I framed it thanks my friend 😊
I work for a funeral home and when I go to services at cemeteries I often see very old graves and headstones. How do you find out the information on these people? Especially older cases?
I’ve tried simply googling the little info I have but I never really find anything of use. Is there a site you use, or is most of it piecing together a larger puzzle?
I’d love to know! You make wonderful and heartfelt content, keep it up ❤
The officer was psychotic, very sad story.
He wasn't psychotic it was the way his upbringing 🤨
Thanks Lamont , another interesting true inncident brought to light that I've never heard of before, perhaps because I'm from jersey a small island off France. Living in London UK now .
Sad , proves Poli e abuse happened long long ago .
RIP SANTOS.🙏🕊️
I'm from Dallas and I didn't even hear this one thank you Lamont!!!
Good gravy that is one of the saddest things I've ever heard! Heartbreaking
Dear God, Lamont, this is so sad. That officer went on to live into his 70s. That child lost his at 12 years. Where's the justice here on earth, only for the whites😂however, we know where the real justice will come from. RIP to all the victims. Thank-you Lamont, and God bless you.
I never shoplifted. Always thought it was wromg, but I have drug convictions. We all have competing morals
Very sad. Stories like this make me wonder if reincarnation happens for those like Santos.
You summed it up perfectly, Lamont. It's most often a direct result of upbringing. Probably been that way forever.
Upbringing horn who's behalf seemed to me that the upbringing of the kids were quite responsible they were in their bed sleeping maybe you should look more into the upgrading of the officers that decided to use terrorism kidnapping and murdering these children. I'm always taken back by the been minded thinking of subscribers.
@Black Diamond no officers would have even known these boys to begin with if they hadn't gained a reputation as troublemakers. Their upbringing had nothing to do with the shooting but everything to do with how known they had become for being troublemakers.
@@BillyLuver0 Great, So lets make them confess to a crime by threatening to shoot them in the head in the back of a police car.
I also have to raise questions against the first guy he shot. Imagine you walk past a store at night and the alarm goes off and you see a tall white guy with a limp go hopping away from the scene. Out of curiosity you pop your head inside the door just to be sure nobody had been hurt. Suddenly there are flashing blue and red lights around you and you think, oh my gosh they'll think I'm to blame. So you make a run for it. BLAM BLAM BLAM. Now your on the coroners meat counter.
Their fingerprints were never discovered at the store. So your point is irrelevant.
@@acallender3317 Yeah. Sure. Look at the context, troll.
Some individuals play way to much! You can soley tell by what they choose to do when concerning serious matters.
Love the way you told this story. And no I never heard it. Happened when I was a baby, but so disturbing. I hope he lived a miserable life! That poor young man.☹️
