2018 Remedy 8 owner. First full suspension bike. It really is a spectacular bike, amazing when you want to shred and a mule for those long XC style range and climbing missions on the weekends. I’ve lost 21kg riding it this last year and a half. It’s a special bike to me not just for the fun but for the time to myself and peace it allows me to experience. It’s really helped with my mental health, especially during these difficult times with the pandemic. Sure some people say a bike is a bike, well in my opinion the Remedy is just that, a Remedy to the world around you.
I fancy this bike in 2021 version for fun but I also enjoy long xc rides and climbs for fitness can I have an honest opinion how this copes with that as I know it's not designed for that, cheers.
@@markpotts4428 I tried one for a day, climbs fairly well for a bike with such geometry. Don't expect to win any races to the top of a mountain or hill. Is a fun bike as Cam says. I like it a lot.

Grabbed the 2020 Remedy 9.9 this fall and she is all of this and more. I have a feeling the Session is gonna see a lot less days.

I love my Trek Remedy 7 2019, I love every Remedy because you can ride nearly everything, it´s a legendary bike.
I just ordered a 9.7 and I can't wait to hit the trails. The Remedy sounds like the type bike I've been searching for.
Just as an update to my last post. Now had the bike a few weeks and it is, with doubt, the best bike I've ever ridden in 20 years of mtb. So much fun, fit and feel is amazing and the suspension is perfection. The whole bike feels stiff, poppy and reactive while soaking up everything you need it to, super supportive. I want it to move and it moves. Bike is just as described by Cam. I'm definitely a Trek convert now 🤟🏽.
I have the Remedy 8 since last fall (my first full sus mtb ever) and i LOVE IT
It NEVER let me down yet... nothing broke the chain didnt go off (i think once) but nothing else...
A friend of mine has a cannondale in the same price range and i gotta admit... his bike had some failures already...
So i dont want to shittalk otehr companys, but im SO happy i went with the Trek!!!

I just got the fuel ex. Tough decision.. but you can ride the fuel for hours and hours! Love that bike. Look forward to riding like a kid again

The slash is in my opinion one of the most maneuverable 29-inch bikes on the market. I used to ride on 27.5 and even with the big wheels I still manage to handle it as well. Well done TREK !

Tomorrow i will get my second Remedy 8 (dark prismatic) after the Remedy 8 2019 (miami green) which was stolen some days ago. I really like that the bike is really nimble and climbs good for a bike with that amount of travel. Its really playful in all terrains (trails, bikepark, dirtjumps and so on). Also in rough terrain it delivers good traction and support and forgives mistaken line choices. I like the way the smaller wheels ride. My bike will have some nice upgrades to my last one like the new lyrik fork and the super deluxe and i hope that the code r brakes will perform well. All in all the remedy is the best choice to nearly everything you want to. I hope Trek will update the Remedy and stays with 27,5 wheel size on it. That would be soooooo cool! The nicest bike i had and and cant wait to shred my new one with the best paintjob i have ever seen on this model.

I love this video. Great bike too. All the things you said ring true to me. I will never go back to 26 or 29 inch wheels after riding on 27.5 wheels. The 27.5's are in a sweet spot between 26's and 29ers because of more control and stability but sneaky fast and light in tight situations. I must warn potential buyers of 27.5 bikes that they will become addicted and obsessed with riding every single day, even in bad weather.

The Supercaliber has shorter suspension travel and is for cross-country racing.
The Remedy has longer suspension travel and is for trail or enduro riding.

Hi, i have a trek remedy 8 2020 and running a stock rockshox suspension, is it possible to run a rockshox super deluxe coil select+ on it without changing the lainkage? I have not seen any reviews here on yt regarding trek remedy runnig a coil suspension. hope you can help me with this. and also, may i know what is the wheel travel of the trek remedy 8. Thanks!

If you wanted it to be fun why did you equip it with a reaktiv damper? Makes it just the opposite of playful and poppy. Please put a normal damper in it, it's so much easier for everyone involved and performs better too.
