There are 4 ways to import data into the Autodesk Geotechnical Module for AutoCAD Civil 3D; AGS 3.1, AGS 4, CSV and directly from HoleBASE SI. This video looks at the first 3 of these methods and then details the format that the CSV files need to be to be importable into the Autodesk Geotechnical Module.
Finally the video shows the example CSV files being imported into the Autodesk Geotechnical Module for AutoCAD Civil 3D and the 3D Boring Logs displayed and geology surfaces generated.

Thank you for this video! Do you know how the software interprets discontinuous soil types between borings? How does the software end one soil type and begin another in areas where the same soil types are not present between different borings?

The geotechnical Module does not support custom Log Strips, this functionality is included in the HoleBASE SI extension for AutoCAD Civil 3D, the custom strips can also show all manner of other down hole data including water strikes, SPT data etc.
However there is a work around, just select all of the log strips, then in the Properties dialog box, filter text and mass edit the text height property.
