I think he has 2 dreams, one where he is alone and one with a girl, and they both end in nightmares where he can’t live his life. In reality, he will only be happy with his other half. His soul twin. That cheeky smile was V being like “do you get what I’m saying?”😉😎
And two post life Tae with different results, one being happier than the other. It’s like Ground hog day to make perfect or telling people, life is short live life be happy.
In my point of view it is about him first ending up in the friend zone, restating his life and finally getting into a relationship with the same girl who friend-zoned him. But in both cases he ended up getting hurt. At the end he ended up with only himself... which shows no matter what hapoens ultimately the one who has your back is you yourself. You can be your own truest companion. So loving yourself and accepting yourself is very important.
This is how I observed the interactions.... First section, He is single and painfully aware of everyone elses relationships. Glamorizing them and he feels alone..... Second part, is where he IS in a relationship and lovey dovey with his partner and oblivious to the "chaos" of IRL couplehood and how relationships actually is in reality. Then the final scene when he's been "friend zoned.", he's accepted it and pretty much has accepted himself .
This mv is great! Actor Tae is back! In addition the song… Love the adlibs and his vocals. So happy to be given this song. Thank you for reacting to this.
He is *such* a great actor! I really hope he makes a movie someday. I'd love to see him playing the psychotic bad guy with Jin playing the upright cop trying to catch him and Yoongi being the streetwise antihero helping Jin. Wouldn't that be awesome?
Kim Taehyung serving his country and serving the music industry with his versatile voice, top notch charisma and gigantic brain at the same time. Damn. He's a one of a kind artist.
Y'all, it's just like the Bangtan Universe - repeating timelines and/or alternate realities, and Tae has to find the right outcome - which is to Love Himself - which is just what that album trilogy was about! @xCeleste, whenever you decide to explore the Bangtan Universe again, we'd love to talk to you. :)
I think he was unhappy being the only one single among couples. When he got a relationship he wanted to show how happy he is, but everyone around him started fighting, so in the end he keeps the relationship to himself. The smirk says something like "I'm happy now, because nobody knows. So everyone can be happy with their own lives as well."
Taehyung is sooooooo handsome and sooooo charming! who wouldn't fall for those eyes when they stare at you like that?!?? you'd feel like he doesn't see anything else but you 💜😍😍😍🐻🤩
I totally agree with your opinion, the MV is unique, original and creative, I like very much this song and I am in love of Taehyung vocals. It’s a precious gift our Winter Bear. Thanks Celeste Borahae 💜
I read so much comments by ARMYs concluding self-love, which I thought too at first but it doesn't go with the song. One reactor's reaction made more sense to me. First dream V was alone and sad. Next he dreamt that he and his friend (who he wanted to be more than just friends with) made him happy. At the end of both he dies, but notice, he had a smile on his face when he died happy with her. So his self at the end said, Yo, like what are you gonna do about it? And it made sense that he was happier in the 2nd scenario, with her. So might as well be with her and if you're gonna die... die happy. That theory to me makes more sense with the song.
when he is alone everyone around him is happy and in love but when he is in love and happy then everyone around him is angry and fighting, it seems to match quite well to the reaction of his relationship the past two years and all the hate he got for it, so in the end he ends up being alone with just himself
It's a difficult question to choose whether it's better to live alone and lonely in a world where everyone loves, or whether it's better to be unloved by everyone in a world where only you love. 💜👍
Loved the song and heres my theory! So in the first half when everyone is happy with their lovers V is alone. This could be V in daily life when normal people are dating but V is unable to date anyone maybe bc he is an idol ykyk. Second half is when he actually ends up dating and gets a lover but when he does everything else around him is a mess, like when an idol dates the hate that they get, everyone's cancelling you. In both cases he dies, so no matter what he does he can't get peace, either keep the public happy and you lonely, or be happy and the public cancels you. But at the end we see that the V who dated appears much happier, kind of signalling towards do what your heart desires. That he is the happiest when he personally is happy lol duh.
Same...i kinda think the song is about the ex J* where she asks to break up and prolly be "friends" coz all the backlash and his enlistment but the MV i think also sortof throws us a rhetorical question, do you like seeing him remain single and miserable but we are happy or he is happy but we're not?! Damned if you do damned if you dont thing since he dies anyway But as we noticed in the 2nd scenario he was smiling even if he died.. 🤷♀️
I LOVE Tae's vocals, his acting, and the MV creativity. Everything was outstanding. I really hope he pursues more acting projects. The lyrics are clear cut about wanting to advance a longtime friendship to becoming a romantic relationship. However, the MV has so many possible interpretations. It could be about loving yourself first and not depend on a relationship or someone else to give you personal value. It could also represent how toxic fans don't want idols to have a romantic life and when the idol openly dates it ends up with backlash. At first he was alone and everyone else aka the fans are happy. But as soon as he finds love and openly dates his girlfriend, everyone else aka the fans are intensely angry. Both cases it ends in the toxic fandom having a negative impact on him aka the car. Also in both cases those same people didn't pay any attention or show concern to the personal outcome he experiences. Him waking up beside himself representing that only he can decide what will make him happy and also only he will directly live with the outcome of that decision. Until the decision is made to openly date or be single, the cycle will repeat.
I watched it several times with that end smirk keeping me off balance. 😂 Now I am thinking, that I was overthinking it. Most of the time when you contemplating moving from friendship to a relationship, the worry is you will lose everything that is right if it goes bad. Things are too nice outside of that one what if. But would love make it worth disturbances caused by making the leap? I think he is reflecting on both options all the way through to The End. And then it ends with which version do you choose and suddenly that SMIRK at the end suggests he decides love is worth all the chaos.
The MV is about him first ending up in the friend zone and getting hurt, restarting his life and finally getting into a relationship with the same girl who friend-zoned him. But in both cases he ended up getting hurt. At the end he ended up with only himself... which shows no matter what hapoens ultimately the one who has your back is you yourself. You can be your own truest companion. So loving yourself and accepting yourself is very important.
Tae met his other half in September (09 of 12 months/year) and you do your own theory. The eyebrow piercing on 1st Tae, the smile when he died the second time and the Yo! to the other Tae on the third time he woke up and the smirk! Start your own conclusion…this is mine.
I love this song of V.❤ This may be a completely different question but do you happen to know if you're going to do an update on the bts universe story this year.
It really reminds me of The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas, and how one person must suffer in order for everyone to be happy. Maybe that's reading too deep but it kind of feels like the choice Taehyung has to make between the greater good and his own personal romantic happiness, and it seems like in the end Taehyung just chooses to enjoy his own company (?) because you can be happy without being in a relationship. It's kind of a shaky theory but I feel like it combines with the other storylines kinda well. It's like Groundhog Day and he has to figure out the right choice to make in order to avoid dying (which could symbolise the destruction of the self/unhappiness but again maybe I'm reading too deep).
I think its alternate universe or multiverse. He is saying Death is inevitable..might as well take a chance on telling ur friend that u love them ..epecially if u have been in love with them for so long..u live ur life happy and die happy..when both v wakes up one V is sad . that V didnt take a chance and died depressed. the 2nd V took the risk and even though he died he was happy in his final moments and woke up with a self satisfied smirk
I think ot is like when you are alone you see love everywhere and you feel anoy by it. Then when we are in relationship we see the problems and chaos everywhere. But the best love is love yourself. Colause no matter if someone is there or not but you are sure there...
My opinion :- person is annoyed watching evryone in love when he is alone. Next part person doesn't care what happens around him when he is in love. Third part being in relationship or not destiny doesn't change. In every situation your destiny is all about you. 💜😌 ( honestly I don't want to go more deeper because I'm already enjoying his voice, music, production, colour grading of the video 😘😘)
I love the song and the mv. When you're alone and not in a relationship, it seems everyone around you is happy and in love so it makes you feel like you're the only one missing out right? But when you're in love and in a relationship, maybe everyone around you wasn't as in love and happy as you thought, because they argue and fight. So at the end of the day, you have to face yourself and be happy even if it's by yourself
I have also seen the theory that this has to do with certain so called fans who are happy he is alone but when they think he is dating they don't like it. So he chooses to be alone. Like this actress is being attacked by crazy fans and some have said they are through with tae because he has a woman in the video. I say good riddance leave the fandom you need help he is a grown man and you do not own him.
SPOILER ALERT! Namjoon actually hinted towards the meaning of V's song on his Instagram page. The 2 songs in his Story, when you look up the lyrics and their meaning, you'll know what V's song is about...
Ghosts" by Yung Lean & Bladee is a haunting and introspective track that delves into themes of love, longing, self-destruction, and existential questioning. The lyrics paint a vivid picture of a tumultuous and toxic relationship, where the protagonists find themselves trapped in a cycle of pain and desire. In the first verse, Bladee sings about the destructive nature of love, describing how his heart is "blue and broken, shattered, battered porcelain" and how the love he shares with his partner is "poison, toxic, tainted." Despite the pain and darkness that comes with this love, he finds beauty in the intensity of their connection, even going as far as to say that being hated by his partner would still leave him grateful for their presence. This juxtaposition of love and suffering sets the tone for the rest of the song. Yung Lean's verse adds another layer to the narrative, expressing a desire for stability and peace amidst the chaos of his life. He reflects on the duality of pleasure and pain, acknowledging that they have become intertwined for him. The lyrics suggest a sense of resignation and acceptance of his circumstances, as he navigates the complexities of his emotions and experiences. Bladee's second verse delves deeper into feelings of hopelessness and longing, questioning the purpose of continuing on in the face of overwhelming despair. He expresses a desire to escape and find solace in oblivion, yearning to be free from the burdens of existence and start anew. The collaborative verse between Yung Lean and Bladee further explores the complexities of their relationship, with references to symbolism like a red dress, black latex, and biblical imagery. The lyrics convey a sense of detachment and confusion, as they navigate the shifting dynamics of their connection and grapple with their own inner turmoil. The outro of the song, delivered by both Yung Lean and Bladee, adds a sense of resignation and acceptance to the overall narrative. The repetition of phrases like "det är chill" (it's chill) and "Nu har vi kommit så långt in i det så vi måste doubla down" (Now we've come so far into it that we have to double down) suggests a sense of surrender to the complexities of their emotions and experiences. Overall, "Ghosts" is a poignant exploration of love, pain, and existential questioning, with Yung Lean and Bladee delivering introspective lyrics that capture the complexities of human emotions and relationships. The song's atmospheric production and emotive delivery further enhance its haunting and introspective nature, making it a standout track in their discography. The lyrics in "(She's) Just A Phase" by Puma Blue describe a complicated relationship where the singer is entangled with a woman who is not good for him. He expresses his desire for her, acknowledging that she has a hold on him that he can't resist. Despite this connection, he knows that she is not a long-term partner, referring to her as "just a phase." The singer seems conflicted about his feelings for this woman, as he both wants to be with her and recognizes that she is not good for him. He continues to waste time and energy on her, even though he knows it is a dead-end. The lyrics suggest that the woman is aware of her effect on the singer and takes advantage of it. The singer feels poisoned by the situation and must let her go, even though he is still attracted to her. Overall, "(She's) Just A Phase" paints a picture of a relationship that is toxic and ultimately unfulfilling, and the singer realizes that he must move on to find something more meaningful.
Okay....I don't know if this is gonna make sense but to my understanding....I think he's also saying that...when he is alone everyone around him is okay about him not being in a relationship but once he'll fall in love (or maybe he's dating) hell broke loose...like everyone is not happy at his decision..... That's why he decides to love himself instead.... Just my interpretation 🤔🤔
@@nam151986 How exactly does one watch a subjective piece of art that's been left open to interpretation, "properly"? 🤔 But by all means, please explain it to me.
@@nam151986 The vast majority of the couples in the MV were male/female couplings including the couple the MV is centered around. So not sure how having (maybe) 3 LGBT+ couples automatically makes the entire MV about "gender-neutral love", but if that's what you want to focus on, that's your prerogative, though it doesn't make much sense. And it still doesn't make your perspective the "proper" way to watch it.
Sorry but he should improve his pronunciation or else he shouldnt sing in english....THE SONG IS AMAZING BUT HIS PRONUNCIATION IS HORRIBLE....AND THE MV IS REALLY GOOD
Don’t know what you were listening to, but I understood perfectly. His English was spot on. He’s improved immensely. Tae has always had a very unique voice and vocal tone, that’s his greatest asset. Anyway, I Loved the video, the song, and most of all his Voice.
He wants to reach a wider audience which is sadly only possible by singing in English. There are so many types of English out there and everything is pronounced differently in each one of them, due to English not being a phonetic language! So he is pronoucing everything just fine. Having an accent is nothing that should keep you from communicating in a different language. There are also so many dialects, should the people who speak them stop communication as well? Nobody would talk then.
There is a saying "Friends with benefits" meaning you are 'friends' to the outside world but you 'hook up' only when you want. Most have a hard time with that as one always feels that they should be in a relationship with just each other.
I think he has 2 dreams, one where he is alone and one with a girl, and they both end in nightmares where he can’t live his life. In reality, he will only be happy with his other half. His soul twin. That cheeky smile was V being like “do you get what I’m saying?”😉😎
Basically "Love Yourself"
his soul twin being himself
And two post life Tae with different results, one being happier than the other. It’s like Ground hog day to make perfect or telling people, life is short live life be happy.
Or...he can't live openly and show his relati9nship to the public, except at home.
I dont think he was friend zoned...he was happy with the girl as a couple in the mv
Love the storytelling and understanding the conclusion that love yourself ❤
on point except the friend zone. it was totally meant to say you need to be your own friend first.
The magical voice Kim Taehyung Bravo Bravo Bravo
I really love the story and there are lots of ways to see it. It’s all fun.
Kim Taehyung serving his country and serving the music industry with his versatile voice, top notch charisma and gigantic brain at the same time. Damn. He's a one of a kind artist.
I love your hair cut!! And, I enjoy your reaction. Lol, I did not notice that scene when Taehyung trips. He is such a cool and cute guy.
Thank you so much Jennifer!! hehe There's so many small details that it's fun looking around for them hehe
In the behind-the-scenes you can see how V acted like he was tripping but it's a different trip! He's such a good actor FR.
Tae is the best actor ever! The facial expressions and the mood of every scene 🫡😚👌💜
Right?? I love his facial expressions esp the first portion of it LOL
@@xCeleste yes! 🤭 amazing and fun ! 😁 💜
After all these years of never getting to see Tae depicting someone in a romantic relationship, it's quite refreshing and enjoyable to watch.
I belive that he tell everyone how it is to be an idol and not be able to have a personal life
multiVerse baby! Alone or coupled, you need to be happy with uourself, that’s my take on it ❤
Y'all, it's just like the Bangtan Universe - repeating timelines and/or alternate realities, and Tae has to find the right outcome - which is to Love Himself - which is just what that album trilogy was about! @xCeleste, whenever you decide to explore the Bangtan Universe again, we'd love to talk to you. :)
It reminded me of the BU too 😃💜 that's so awsome!!
This would make a good song for dance ,it's such a cheerful song
I think ur analysis is the best I've heard, and so on point. As always, love ur reactions!
I think he was unhappy being the only one single among couples. I read so much comments by ARMYs concluding self-love, which I thought too at first but it doesn't go with the song.

Your theory is on point because I read that the MV is about the desire to no longer be friends but to have it develope into something more.
Love the storytelling in this mv ❤ and I understand the story of this mv

honestly just focussing on TAEHYUNG'S VOCALS AND HIS VISUAL OBV. THE MOST BEAUTIFUL MAN W THE MOST MESMERISING VOICE

You are such a vibe
Absolutely love you reaction❤
I love the diversity. This is not common in KPOP videos and V paves the way now
Ya’ll know we’re gonna get a making of the MV for this. I can’t wait for that. Also, his vocals at the end.. 🫠

Yes! Self-love
I'm convinced Tae tripped in the store because there was a couple on the floor going at it 😂
Thank you for this. 💜
Your hair! So cute!
This song and the video are amazing!
He died TWICE. Woke up to two of him. He and his other half go back to 09❤😂.
What?😮
Kim Tae Hyung does it again. Love it. His vocals are fire. Side note. I need xCeleste’s Inner Child tshirt.

I have also seen the theory that this has to do with certain so called fans who are happy he is alone but when they think he is dating they don't like it.

SPOILER ALERT! Namjoon actually hinted towards the meaning of V's song on his Instagram page. The 2 songs in his Story, when you look up the lyrics and their meaning, you'll know what V's song is about...
It's more complex than what you would think...

Despite this connection, he knows that she is not a long-term partner, referring to her as "just a phase."
The singer seems conflicted about his feelings for this woman, as he both wants to be with her and recognizes that she is not good for him.
Please explain further
Okay....I don't know if this is gonna make sense but to my understanding....I think he's also saying that...when he is alone everyone around him is okay about him not being in a relationship but once he'll fall in love (or maybe he's dating) hell broke loose...like everyone is not happy at his decision..... That's why he decides to love himself instead.... Just my interpretation 🤔🤔
I think is abt self-love.
I'm going crazy what is 09? My mind has been stuck to it since yesterday
I like your interpretation, it’s similar to mine 😊
😱😱😱😱💜🇲🇽

You and I go back to like '09 ? 😮 I hope it's what I think
He was 14 in 09.
Bighit music intro I learned it from u 😭
hahahah gotta do the wave and pop with me 🤣
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Has it ever occurred maybe gender is not important in a relationship
What in the world does your comment have to do with this mv? 🤣
The entire MV is about gender neutral love....watch it properly..
@@nam151986 How exactly does one watch a subjective piece of art that's been left open to interpretation, "properly"? 🤔
But by all means, please explain it to me.
@@PlanetCharnBabynot talking about the end in particular..Thats subjective .bt the gender neutral love relationships shown throughout i the MV
Trata de cantar en Coreano, me gustaria escucharte 😂🤡
Okay jungkook solo get lost
I don't know what you're talking about cause his pronunciation was great in this. Didn't have any problems understanding anything!
There is a saying "Friends with benefits" meaning you are 'friends' to the outside world but you 'hook up' only when you want. Most have a hard time with that as one always feels that they should be in a relationship with just each other.
