The thing is people think to be a child of darkness you have to be evil but it is not like that. You could be the sweetest person ever and beloved by many. All you have to do is know the truth and deny it. That is a child of darkness.
Hey, are you in any denomination ? Because I was wondering what Bible should I read, thinking of Protestant Bibles in which there are less books than in Catholics, and other variants for other denominations I pressume as well . I'm quite in a dilemma, mostly knowing that God says not to remove or add anything to His Word (Deut 4:2, Pro 30:6) I feel uncertain of if what I be reading is even God's Word. That's what I want, not some false twisted word. Also I be thinking how come God would let people "play" with His Word, because then it is sure hard to know what is actually form Him or just form man. Hopefully you can help me out a little. Thank you.

I don’t belong to any denomination and I typically study the New King James Version (which is word for word translation) and when I want to read on the go I use the Bible app and read the NLT (New Living Translation- phrase for phrase) and a few others . I think that the Lord allows people to “play” with his word because he’s allowing the wheat and the shafts to grow together. When the wind (Metaphorical speaking of testing, trials, tribulations) blows when the wheat is being harvested at a threshing floor the shaft blows away so easy but the wheat falls to the ground which determines the wheat from the shafts and it can be harvested. In other words when it comes to those who translate the Bible or build religious organizations based off of false doctrine and twisted scripture; when the wind blows they will be scattered and the wheat will remain. All in All remember Matthew 6:33 seek first the Kingdom of God. We don’t seek a church, organization, doctrine or denomination. We must seek the kingdom of God first and foremost and as the scripture concludes. THEN all these things will be added unto you. So if you’re looking for truth seek the Kingdom of God and all that you’re looking for will come to you. I hope this helps! ❤️
I think when Jesus said i wish you would be cold or hot, he meant it in this way, i would rather drink hot nice water or a cold water, but lukewarm water is disgusting, try that for yourself and see what he meant
