No disrespect to masika but when i looked at Carleton live in in Birmingham this performance is a joke , recording key different from stage key u need some voice training bro
The shortcomings there is that most of the current crop of dancehall artists are not singers .Rather they are dj/ rappers - They literally just shout at speed into a mike so there no rise & fall in there vocally delivery Hence live performances are pretty noisy & monotonous .Often the band just plays the same loud levels and the same beat all night long. In the studio recordings theres the over use computer aided voice technology & autotune which creates they impression that the artist can perform effortlessly & in key . However live performances there is no hiding place for. The onus then is on the live performance sound engineer and the bands to balance the sound levels . If the artist cares little about how he sounds live what can one say
