Lovely battle report and tabletop. Not a fan of the list building, but that is Warlords fault. The Americans are actually the only faction where it would make sense to pick veteran tanks, with the other tanks it simply isn't worth it, since there is only a small threshold of penetration values where the veteran ability will actually trigger and in a game with that many tanks, you are more likely to just get blown up before the pins stack up to be a problem and you actually profit of the veteran rules and morale value. The Germans desperately need a rule to make their veteran tanks worth it, or at least cheaper access to the veteran status, since historically speaking they had a tons of veterans by the time the Americans landed in Europe and they have the most renowned tank commanders in all of WW2 but there is nothing to represent that in the game other than taking the few overpriced unique characters. The points spent on the 5 veteran Panzer IV would have been better invested in another panzer IV.
Thanks for the feedback! Hopefully the new edition later this year addresses these concerns. It’s a fun game but I wouldn’t call it particularly historical.
We played it like this many times it is the only real way to do tank wars without getting a parking lot affect with a big tanks and a small board Now we will challenge you to try the same scenario using Battlegroup
Great video! 15mm has become my love for basically all games. It's a fantastic scale!
Nice one mate, good way of playing tank war , using FoW miniatures, :)
Good game. Keep them coming.
Glad you liked it, Karl!
Good idea! Larger games of Tank War can get pretty congested at 1/56 scale.
The airborne needed Private Ryan with a bazooka. This was nice. Thanks for posting
Or an air strike!
Great video!!!!
Great vid. Would love to see more detail of your games. Order Dice being drawn, combat etc.
Interesting. Played at this scale the game reminds me of Battlegroup.
You’re the second person to mention Battlegroup! I’ve never played it but ordered the rule book and am intrigued!
In the old days we used casualty caps to mark figures lost on a stand
I have some of those too, and little skull ones. I just recorded casualties on paper.

Bolt Action is a much better game in 15mm. Same as Flames of War is better in 10/6mm
I’ve never played Flames of War in 6mm but I imagine you could have some huge battles with it at that scale.

I’ve never played Battlegroup, but would love to give it a try!
