All he is saying is that Arjun is a friend of God as explaining the concept of God as offered in Hinduism would be a college degree at this time to his audience. In referring to what they know as God, his also using their knowledge as a reference, and making it easier for them to understand. Allah is the word that their propet used in his references, so Hindu Indians may take exception to the phrasing, and I understand that. But you cannot discount the courage Rama has shown by venturing into such neighborhoods and chanting the maha mantra. And we should support that action.
